My son and I enjoyed climbing at Mosaic. It was my second visit, and
I would definitely visit again. Love the wall height and options for difficult climbs at 5.12 on autobelay. Lead wall looks expansive and fun, hoping to try that out next visit.
Katelyn (so?) showed us around and helped us orient. She was super nice and a great ambassador for the gym there as well as in Lexington KY.

A highly professional environment, yet very family-like here in Loveland, Ohio. Every individual trainer or staff here makes a highly friendly and open impression. And once you've been there for a while, you'll quickly notice the positive effect this atmosphere has on you or your child. I definitely recommend checking it out! My personal thanks also go to Patrick, whose calm and patient manner always ensures the enjoyment and performance during training.

Mosaic is a great gym with phenomenal staff. The style of climb is self described as more "movement" focused, and steers away from pure strength based climbing, and it's a nice variation from the other climbing gyms in the area. The staff is very helpful and the classes included with the membership are fantastic. I have a few desires from management that'd make this a better option for me. For one, the bouldering pads are extremely stiff. They're thick for sure, but they're so hard, I've heard of people getting ankle injuries when falling off boulders, and I believe it. Compared to the surrounding gyms, the pads are just not comfortable, and make it more a necessity to down climb. I also wish that mosaic offered different tiers of membership, specifically a swipe tier that is cheaper than their day pass, but slightly more expensive than their monthly membership, that still had access to the 24 hour bouldering room. There are just not enough boulders/top rope climbs at a specific level that make this feasible to be my main climbing gym, given how much I like to climb, and how many gyms are in the surrounding area. I would absolutely climb at mosaic once a week mainly, but it doesn't make monetary sense for me to pay a monthly membership if I'd just go 4 times in a month, and the absence of a mid tier membership level just makes me cancel the membership when I'd love to keep coming, and $25 for a day pass is too steep to do regularly. Please add a mid tier membership level, and please get some softer pads!

We had a lovely time celebrating my husbands birthday here with friends and family. The place is so friendly for beginners plus there is an open area to use where you can serve treats.
There is a huge rock climbing room with high ceilings, with courses for all skill levels β with auto belaying as well.
There is also a large bouldering room too!

We are visiting from California and were absolutely blown away by Mosaic Climbing Gym! The space is bright, clean, and filled with tons of fun and creative routes for all levels. My 7-year-old daughter, a beginner climber, had private lessons with Patrick, and it was an incredible experience.
Patrick is an outstanding instructorβpatient, calm, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. He covered everything from climbing etiquette and safety rules to techniques and post-climbing stretches. My daughter got to practice both top rope and bouldering, and she had such a wonderful time that the one-hour session flew by! We were so impressed that we booked a package and came back for two-hour lesson with Patrick then next day.
Patrick has a fantastic way of working with kidsβheβs fun, personable, and knows how to keep them engaged and confident. Thank you Patrick and we highly recommend Mosaic Climbing Gym!

My son and I have been going here for a couple years now and love it. I felt compelled to write a review though, after their superior and compassionate service a few days ago. My son ate some candy that he didnβt know had nuts in it and had a severe allergic reaction, and vomited all over their restroom area. I alerted the staff that I couldnβt clean it up and had to get him out fast to get his epi pen. The staff was so sweet, said absolutely no problem, and asked if there was anything else she could do to help.
I really appreciated it, especially on a Friday night when they were busy and had multiple customers at the desk. Wonderful place with a wonderful environment and staffed by excellent humans!

As someone who has worked at a couple climbing gyms for two years and as someone that has visited a lot of climbing gyms this place does a FANTASTIC job at creating easy climbs for beginners along with challenging climbs for people who want to get better at ourdoor climbing. Staff are super friendly as well, John and Sam (I think that's their names) have gone above and beyond in their customer service. Also, they just cleaned the moonboard π For me the membership is 1000% worth it because I have 24/7 access with my fob to the bouldering area ; this makes it way easier for me to prioritize bouldering more because my schedule is always a little different. Sometimes I prefer going at times where not a lot of people go so it's really nice to have that fob option.
Some of the setting is gonna feel sand bagged which helps you prep for outdoor bouldering, and some of the holds do feel a little risky/grimy but climbing in general can be a dangerous sport. You have to fill out a form due to risk/dangers/ect and it's good to be self aware of what your comfort zone is. Basically if you feel too uncomfortable doing something then don't work on that route/problem. Maybe even watch people work on that one first to see if you want to try it or not.
I like how their grading system is color based not number based β¨οΈ
I've worked on some top rope here which have fun movements too (the walls are also pretty tall), but I like how they have a suggestion box at the gym usually. It's nice that they consider our suggestions and I'm greatful a gym like this exists. I hope more gyms incorporate the fob 24/7 access concept more.
Sometimes they even have events here which is great too.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would; thanks for everything Mosaic Climbing!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is top rope, lead climbing and bouldering. If you get a membership, you can access the bouldering 24/7. And with a membership or day ticket, you get full access to rentals like shoes and harness.
There are classes to learn belay for top rope and lead, then you take a test to certify you for it.

Been coming to this gym for a few months now used to bring the family. I feel the gym is stepping away from family and more into experiences climbers only. Yes there is a grade scale but isn't consistent through climbs.
First started coming with the kids they were excited having fun but past few months the climbs have gotten so out of their grade or can't even reach the start. Holds are bunched together and overlap so clipping holds on moves happens often. Climbs have gotten sketchier wife and kids now have little interest in trying it again. I enjoy the place but wish it stayed accessible for kids/ families though.
I get making it challenging but they're forgetting about the kids and first timers. Also wish the rope and weight room were add ons. I don't use half the offered amenities mainly just go do bouldering. Price wise is about the same for any gym in the cincinnati area.

This gym was severely disappointing. The reviews and pictures really made this place look amazing.
But, the actual experience was something else. when we got there it became obvious that this gym was designed around the business and not about the sport.
For both big walls and bouldering, The setting felt repetitive and lazy. The grading scale was inconsistent at best. And I don't know the last time the holds were cleaned or even brushed. The whole operation felt very amateur.
There were a few safety concerns as well. The top routes are not anchored and double looped so my belay partner went flying every time I fell. Also the bouldering mats were hard and not conducive to falling.
If you like climbing, I would not recommend. This gym is not for climbing.

Has bouldering, rope and auto belays. Separate rooms for bouldering / rope.
Setting is usually nice with some variety in styles. Facility always clean - I've never seen it crowded outside of 1 time there was a large gaggle of children.

The staff is awesome and the belaying / lead portion of the gym is great, but the bouldering is a bit lacking. The grading system is nice, but a lot of the routes are a bit sandbagged to meet their grade, towards either the start or finish. There is also a TON of rubber on the holds to the point where the fun-to-risk ratio doesn't seem quite worth it (even on what would normally be decent holds).
The gym is also a bit pricey if you're going just to boulder (+ no difference in cost if you already have shoes), but likely worth it if you take advantage of their full gym and the belaying.
Tl;dr -- great staff and belaying / lead; disappointing / unsafe boulder holds and routes.

What a great place and something special to do with your birthday guests! My son celebrated his birthday on a Friday at Mosaic climbing. We did not book a private event but just bought single tickets for everyone. We didnβt book in advance and the place wasnβt crowded. The kids had a blast! The climbing area is HUGE and absolutely entertaining. The facility is clean and very welcoming. The staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us a complete overview and instructions on how to climb safely and how to use the (in ticket included) equipment! We are definitely coming back!

I like that this place has everything. The top rope and lead walls are great. Lots of action there. The weight room is large and has enough machines although I'd like to see more bars for pull up and dip like exercises. Some parallel bars and peg boards would be nice too. The room also has a great view of the pond. It's in a great property with wildlife. People seem nice. But there is a quality to it that makes it seem like it was once a great place that some parts of the gym are just left to their own devices. Like the bouldering area. Decent layout, the climbs that are there are fairly good. The V grading system has been replaced with color coded ranges. I have seen this in other gyms but most have them clearly explained all over the area how it correlates to the V system. It isn't something I like at all and seems to be an unfortunate trend starting. That being said about the quality and presentation of it. The real kicker is that the quantity of climbs are sparse. Its a huge room and every 10-15 feet is a climb. I thought it was just a low end inn their route setting schedule but its been a month and a half. The routes may have changed but the number stayed the same. I'm just super confused as to why there is such a contrast between the top/lead walls and the bouldering area. I just wanted it to be a little more cause the facility has good bones.

Route setting (lead at least) seems to have improved since I was last here a couple of years ago - actually had a lot of fun climbing here the other day! Unfortunately this place is far enough away for me that getting a membership is never gonna happen, plus they donβt offer punch passes and the day pass rate is super high. So even though that steep lead wall is lots of fun, I really canβt climb here hardly ever still. It would be nice if they had a punch pass option for climbers who have memberships at other gyms.

Been a member here for a few months and it's wonderful. Everyone is nice, the clientele are friendly and respectful for the most part. Very accommodating to individuals with difficult schedules. Problems change regularly enough to get new challenges with plenty of time to work difficult routes. The gym has an acceptable level of cleanliness.
As a new climber, I went from V0 to V4 in three months here just utilizing their route progressions and going twice a week. Seems well designed and is very engaging.
Only a few things that would improve it in my mind would be some larger bathrooms with showers and more staff/access for 24 hour service members.
Don't plan to stop going anytime soon. Thanks Mosaic.

An amazing climbing gym! Got a day pass with a friend and was super excited to check the facilities out. We loved our time at Mosaic. $25 total for the day including shoes and harness rentals, which is a decent price. The bouldering room had lots of different problems to play around with. Air in that particular room was stagnant and kinda stuffy, but everything is fairly clean. The climbing walls were huge with plenty of auto belays and places to hook in for leads. Also kid friendly routes that werenβt as tall. Really appreciated the downclimb holds and the dots indicating start/end positions. Had color coded problems of all levels of difficulty. Also had a spacious weight training room with some treadmills. And of course events like yoga, etc throughout the month. Their membership was a great price with everything included. I just wish I lived closer so I could take advantage of it!

Been a 24/7 member here for a while now and been to several other climbing gyms in the area. I have been back to mosaic enough times to know that my experience isn't one isolated data point it's an average of many many many visits.
While there are several good gyms in the area, Mosaic is in my opinion the best balance and bang for your buck for a variety of climbing experiences. You can do lead climbing, top rope, speed climbing, auto belay, bouldering.
I know the route setters and they take pride and care in making interesting routes that feature a wide variety of climbing techniques and skill levels
they even have a yoga studio and weight training, TRX bands, etc.
the facilities are consistently well maintained and the staff is appropriately concerned with safety
Though I wouldn't say it's cheap to climb here, it's honestly cheaper than it has any right to be. for the consistency and quality of everything at this gym the price is more than fair. The fact that they offer 24/7 memberships is priceless to me as I have a fluid schedule and I need to be able to work out whenever it works for me.

I climb frequently at all the gyms in Cincinnati. They all have friendly staff and a supportive group of local climbers. Mosaic has all those traits and more.
Unlike the other local of the gyms, Mosaic's problem/route setting is competition style. At first it was hard for me to figure out but I enjoyed the challenge and the change of pace from traditional setting. Mosaic also has decent weight lifting and exercise equipment so you no longer have to maintain memberships at climbing gym and regular gym. Also, I feel Mosaic does a lot for its members by offering beginners bouldering nights, women's events and competitions, and fun climbing t-shirt give aways with special routes to climb.
I would also highly recommend giving the yoga classes a try. The instructor is cheerful and makes yoga fun!

This location offers new and clean facilities that are impressive at first glance, but fail to deliver on a level that can compare with other gyms in Cincinnati. The bouldering area was sparsely set with anywhere from 5-10 problems per color code, and felt like it was geared more toward birthday parties than off-season training. This was surprising and not consistent with my previous visits a year or two ago.
I normally wouldn't leave a review, but the disappointing climbing paired with a lack of masking and several clearly, *loudly* sick individuals drove me out after around 45 minutes. A $22 non-refundable day pass is too much to spend for this be your experience. Check out a different gym.

It's nice and new and clean but definitely felt like a newbie gym that's not going to be a favorite for seasoned climbers. Alot of things were strange to me. 1) too many auto belays 2) the colored rating system 3) the rope over the bar once which necessitates an anchor for the belayer. Again it's nice and new and clean but am gonna explore other options

as a preface, I really wanted to enjoy this gym because their sister gym "LEF climbing" in Lexington, KY is amazing.
Top rope:
It is okay but it has limited routes, with most of them being towards the easy side.
Lead Climbing:
Mostly over hung walls which is great for strength training, but less for for technical movements. This seems like a poor layout design that could of been fixed during construction.
Bouldering:
This was fantastic when the gym opened; with well thought out and complex movement problems. Recently(~6 months) the boulders seem to be poorly designed and "boring".
Summary:
I used to come to this gym for just the bouldering. recently i find myself at "Climbtime Oakley" for an all around better experience.

We were very happy with our visit for climbing. We had two toddlers going climbing for the first time, and Piper was very helpful in getting all of us prepared with her tour and walkthrough. We are definitely interested in coming back.

Great place just bought a membership today if I had to make one nitpick it would be that the sink in the lobby bathroom need a really good scrub but other than that clean friendly staff and a good workout would recommend

They have really tall climbing walls. The bouldering walls are separate. It was not too crowded and the belay instructor was polite and efficient.

Bouldering is all comp style and very little angel variations. Personally not my cup of a tea and I don't really hear anyone giving it positive reviews. Lead climbing is mostly good and pretty tall walls. Good training for the RRG. The rest of the facility is top notch and access to classes with a pass without paying extra is nice.

Friendly staff. TALL roped walls, short boulders. Kinda opposite of most gyms but interesting twist. Only complaint was not enough of the mid range roped routes. Need more 5.10s. I did like to way they color coded the routes with the βwildcardβ colors.

Excellent gym. They provide a 24-hour available membership, SO YEAH! Clean & open facility with ample vertical walls for more balence & flexibility movement. The tallest walls for roped climbs in our area. I may visit monthly, unless I feel inclined to get that black V7... under the cover of night.

Iβve been going here for almost 2 years now and itβs my favorite climbing gym in Cincinnati! The owners and staff are super friendly, helpful and encouraging. I started out barely knowing how to climb but with help from other climbing members and the staff Iβve been able to really progress. If you want a fun and challenging workout with a great community this is the place!

I'm really glad this place opened in Cincinnati! While I've enjoyed the vibe and the facilities at all of the gyms in town, this is the place for me. The staff and the community are welcoming and friendly, and the facility is top notch! The staff are passionate and excited about climbing, and the owners are engaged with visitors and members.
Two things really are really important to me personally in a gym: frequent, high quality route setting & volume of tall, steep walls. I live close to the Red River Gorge, world famous for its long, steep routes. It's hard to build the endurance that I need for that when I go outdoors. In the past, I had to wait in line to do 4x4s, climbing up and down routes to try to stay fit. It worked, but it wasn't much fun. Being able to climb fun, creative new routes that change all the time has really inspired me to train harder!
That alone would be enough to sell me on Mosaic, but it's clear that the owners are doing their utmost to keep both staff and climbers safe and happy. Operating a gym responsibly during a pandemic is a challenge I can't imagine taking on, and I've been really impressed with their efforts. Despite the fractured nature of our interpersonal spheres this year, the staff and management at Mosaic continue to come up with ways to reach out to spark engagement, community, and joy.

I have been coming here for about 4 months and Iβve been really happy with it. The entire staff listens to suggestions from members, theyβre constantly setting new problems and routes. They have treated me very well. I come here with my 5yr old probably 3x a week and we have a blast. He can jump around and have fun while I focus on fitness and climbing. I also come a few days in the early morning each week and always find it to be well maintained and completely accommodating to my needs. The facility is clean, caters to a wide variety of styles and experience levels, and is full of cool people.

NOT FOR CLIMBERS. This gym is clearly prioritizing the business in this area which is boy scout groups and soccer moms bringing groups of kids for an outing. It is the distillation of the modern climbing GloboGym and in my opinion everything wrong with climbing.
Over time, the prioritization of auto-belays becomes increasingly clear. At this point, the gym has devolved into a really nice version of a Carnival Cruise climbing area. There are very few toprope options, exclusively overhanging lead options, and a bulk of routes set for the autobelays (of which there are now 10). Additionally, the TR routes are RARELY reset, and the setting is often trash. The movement is gimmicky 'comp style' movement and does not translate well to actually training for climbing outdoors.
There are ample training areas, but the awkwardly silent weight area and ill maintained hangboard area don't inspire motivation to actually train. The staff also likes using the cherry picker thing for route setting WAY too much and it's insanely distracting. I don't know what happened to people just jugging a route or getting a belay to tighten a bolt.
That being said, the gym has a lot of potential and from time to time there is a really great route. The walls are tall, the holds are fresh and grippy, and everything is clean even if they do use a vinegar solution which smells... not great. If a climber was running this gym for other climbers, it would easily be the best in the area. If the setters actually climbed outside, and set commensurate routes, it would be worth revisiting. But in its current state, I just can't recommend this gym to any locals who are actually climbers unless you have no friends, really love training endurance laps on auto belays, or like climbing the same 2 5.10 routes on TR for 3 months straight.

I'm not a fan of the setting. They seem to prefer the "comp style" boulder setting that focuses more on acrobatic moves as opposed traditional climbing movements. This gym is nice, but serious climbers have better options elsewhere in the city.

Mosaic is the best climbing gym in Cincinnati. They have a huge bouldering room, auto belays, lead climbing and top roping. In addition to everything you need for rock climbing specifically, there is a gym and they also have classes (yoga, HIIT,etc). The staff is unlike any other, always welcoming you and making you feel like a friend.
