Disappointing experience and non cooperative staff, they act like they are training kids to land on the moon.
They lost the priority of creating a nourishing and entertaining environment for the kids so they thrive and enjoy their time.

The place is nice, I loved the 3 minutes driving distance from home butI have never had to deal with a center with a significant rigid rules / no flexibility.. suffered for couple of months then had to change .. everything has to be online , minimal assistance at front desk .. only one reschedule option and I have to pay .. was just terrible for me … if u have variable schedule and likely to need to change things around it is not for u !
. I never put a review on the internet but here I am ,, I’m late to post but better than never

I highly recommend New Heights Gymnastics & More for anyone looking for a top-notch gymnastics facility that values cleanliness, safety, and, most importantly, the well-being and development of its athletes. The knowledgeable and caring staff makes it a great place for kids to learn and grow, and the clean, well-maintained space makes it a joy for parents to watch their kids thrive. Whether you're just getting started or aiming for higher-level skills, this gym has everything you need to succeed.

New Heights Gymnastics is a great facility that allows children the tools to learn skills. My daughter has grown not only with the gymnastics/tumbling skills but with strength and confidence.

Very unprofessional. Will not bring my child back here after her witnessing her bestfriend be verbally abused during OPEN GYM!

We had an unfortunate experience at open gym with the owner, Amy, making unkind remarks to my daughter about her performance and ability, while forcing her to perform skills above her level on a beam. My daughter came out in tears. Definitely not appreciated, as the kids just went there to have fun on a day off of school. We have had great experiences in the past there with Coach Cayden and Courtney. We won't return. It is unfortunate that nasty people like this work with youth in any capacity.

staff is rude uncaring and they let the little ones do eveything themselves with little direction , specially if the parent never did gymnastics and have no idea how to help their child with the equipment, staff was not friendly and very unwilling to help. their demeanor is not friendly i called to discuss this with them and told me i am no longer welcome and that i was too negative when voicing my concerns. extremely unprofessional staff and management. I would suggest trying another place

The space was nice and clean, the party hosts were fun and accommodating! I would just suggest not making your guests feel rushed to finish with their party. We were told to turn our music off at 2:45p to prepare for the party that would be next to ours and it was suggested that we get cleaned up at that time as well. Our party wasn’t scheduled to end until 3:00p with 15 additional minutes to clean up. Other than that, it was great!

My son started Ninja classes at new heights a little over six months ago. My six year old daughter has also recently started ninja classes there as well. Our family loves New Heights in Maumee. Ninja class is one thing my kids look forward to all week. The coaches are great and I am amazed at how much my kids have progressed with their ninja skills. The gym also hosts Ninja games at their Wauseon location. This gives the kids a chance to compete and show off their Ninja skills. Additionally, one of my favorite things about this gym are ninja nights. These happen about once a month on a Saturday night. Parents drop off their kids from 5:30-9:00. The kids get to play games, do obstacle course things around the gym, and eat pizza. Since parents aren't supposed to stay they have a chance for a date night or a chunk of time to run errands while their kids are having a blast at the gym. As far as communication with the gym, I have found email to be the best. They have always been incredibly helpful and very prompt in returning my emails. This place is a gem for our family, I am so glad we started going here.

We go to NH for ninja classes and we absolutely love it. The Instructor is so great with the kids and guides the kids in learning new skills and perfecting old skills (not just in ninja...i.e teaches respect as well). The hours to take classes have been flexible and they work with you so great! They answer questions very quickly and are so helpful! I have a very very energetic boy and this helps him so much! He loves it!

New Heights Gymanstics and More offers SO many things for not only the kids enrolled in their programs but any kids wanting to participate in a fun, engaging event. They offer in addition to their classes, birthday parties for preschool ages and up (for great prices), gymanstics and ninja camps during the summer, single day camps during the year, preschool plays for the little ones, ninja nights every month and so on. All of the coaches work hard to provide the best experience and training for the kids. It is an amazing facility that produces awesome results!

I was asked to leave a comment so they could address the issue, so here it is. Keep in mind my comments apply to about a year ago. Management should be fired if they haven’t been already (or ownership change?). Disrespectful to kids and absolutely no interest in them actually learning. No clear instructions are given to new kids which are just expected to pick things up if you yell the same 2 words over and over. No proper training of staff. Just read the other reviews and see how management gives the same blanket response “we are going through hard times… boohoo…” there’s no real “we’re going to address this” or even at least “further investigate”. I didn’t realize hard times gave anyone carte blanche to treat everyone else with contempt.

Beautiful, clean facility and top notch equipment!! A couple excellent coaches we enjoy working with (Coaches Lindsay and Kaden are phenomenal), unfortunately not the case with the majority of the staff - so proceed with caution before committing to reoccurring payments. Many staff members even seem disinterested and irritable.

This gym does offer a good variety of activities and flexible scheduling- easy to manage online and through email- their email replies are quick and friendly! They don't answer phones. Classes can be too big depending on the night. Seems they just can't keep up with the demand and instead of limiting enrollment to what they can cover with effective staff, they double up classes, stick in whoever as a coach and often seem flustered from being "short staffed." Unfortunately, one of my children lost interest quickly in the large double class with an unengaged coach and no longer attends.

Several activities/camps are offered in addition to the classes and the kids always have fun at these. These events are much more organized and well done than a few years ago. Kids had a blast at a recent ninja event. Unfortunately I may have to reconsider in the future depending on which staff will be running the event. One of the ladies was very bitter and short with kids- to which a child replied "she always yells, she just doesn't like kids." Not someone I'll leave my kids with unattended again. Luckily coach Kaden and Jack made it fun, it was just a very unpleasant interaction with this woman and unfortunately these unpleasant attitudes seem tolerated at this gym from the top down.

Overall, worth trying with caution. We've had some great experiences and interactions, but we have learned to keep a close eye on all of it.

If you've ever been a gymnast, you know how incredible New Heights Gym is. State of the art equipment, knowledgeable staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. The gym produces top notch athletes, and you truly get what you pay for. There are so many classes and levels, so there is something for every child. Each athlete is challenged and cared for by the entire staff. I cannot recommend New Heights Gymnastics & More enough!!

We enrolled our daughter in the caterpillar class at 18 months (last October) and are still in it. She loves going to "ginaskiks" haha. Coach pam and Lyndsay are great with the kids, Ellie loves them so much. Our daughter is now 2 and a half and can jump over objects on the beam. As a former competitive gymnast of 16 years I appreciate the facility, equipment and staff. We look forward to Ellie's future with the gym!

Where do I begin… ugh had my daughter here for a few years. But made the move last year to another gym and it was the best decision we could of made. At the start everything was going well a lot of coaches and decent experience. But towards our last year ( Amy) couldn’t keep a coach around. Poor attitude, all about the money, and pretty nasty to the kids. Got to the point where my daughter didn’t even want to be there. Not to mention coach Amy had ran off the other coaches. So there where nights that there would be one coach for 30 kids. Just absolutely a waste of time. Staff became so short that we we’re practicing 2 days a week then she had to drop it down to 1 day a week and of course still wanted the same monthly cost. Well with that being said we made the switch. We are a lot happier, Practicing 3 days a week, and how fast my daughter has improved once she had a coach/ coaches that would actually work with her. If your thinking of bringing your child here for gymnasticsI strongly recommend looking into other places and doing some homework before you commit to one place. I really hope coach Amy finds herself. 🤷‍♂️

My kids were excited to start. We signed them up for the 3-4 year class. The instructor with green hair never gave them a chance. She told my wife that they were in the wrong class (my children are 3) and they can't be there and to leave. We are demanding a refund for a class they refused my kids. I will never go back and I will dissuade anyone else to go there.

I have today filed an ethics complaint against this gym to USA Gymnastics. I have been unable to resolve outstanding questions related to financial issues. This is just one of a multitude of issues I had by the end of our short time here. It’s a huge shame because things started off positively - but all original coaches quit within a matter of months and were honest about the toxic work place; classes were poorly coached thereafter; expenses mounted with little or no explanation; and the final straw came when we attended a mandatory “meet” at exorbitant cost which was little more than a money grab (no scoring, no awards, even the “commemorative” tshirt wasn’t given!) Very disappointed I couldn’t resolve this directly with the owner.

Fantastic staff and always enjoy our time at the gym. I see so many negative reviews and can't understand where the "grace" is for the current staffing literally everywhere. This is a family owned and operated business who is doing a great job improving their space every year. It's never run down or dirty compared to other gyms in our area. We love New Heights!

PLEASE READ REVIEWS BEFORE CHOOSING THIS GYMNASTICS PROGRAM FOR YOUR CHILD!
This is by far the most unorganized and unfriendly gymnastics facility I've encountered. I signed my daughter up for a trial class. They don't greet you, or make you feel welcomed at all when you are a new member. We decided to give it a 2nd chance. My daughter was signed up for the kick over class. We go to the first week of kick over class for her and was told that it is beginning tumbling and kick over combined! My daughter is much more advanced than beginning tumbling, so why was I paying for a class that was combined with another class? My daughter was the only one there for kick over and was completely ignored the entire time! The instructor focused on the kids of the beginning tumbling class and my daughter basically just did her own thing. Why is it $60/a month for basically an open gym and no instruction? We found out it was that instructors last day, so we decided to give it a 3rd chance! The 3rd chance was even worse! Class was from 430-500PM. The instructor didn't even come get the kids for class until 445! So paid $60.00/month for now a 15 minute class! When the kids got in there, the instructor was extremely rude to all the kids! I believe her name was Amy. She told them to all hurry up and yelled a girl who had very short hair because she didn't have a ponytail in! Again, they combined the class with beginning tumbling, so again it was zero instruction on kick over for my daughter! The 15 minutes of "class" that she did have the girl was complaining about her social life and on her phone the entire time!
This place is an absolute joke! Do not waste a single dollar sending your child her! The owner will comment saying "short staff" and give the same "excuse" that is given to every negative review, which tells me the owner does not care at all about the poor business practice of this facility!

If there was a rating for less than 1 star, I would have given that. Totally not worth sending your kids to this place. They keep changing instructors every other week. I checked with the last instructor about the level of my child and she said its Rainbow 1. On the other hand the previous instructor had recommended her to be in Rainbow 2. There is no proper pass-down from one instructor to the next. Also, upon requesting for refund, I was told 'no refunds' even when I called before attending a single session in the month of May. This is not acceptable.

We noticed there was a problem when one of the best coaches abruptly quit out of the blue. In the months that have followed, we have noticed the staff being extremely unhappy and transparent about the toxic work environment and the way the owner treats them. Since then, there's been a revolving door of coaches leaving suddenly.

For my son's last class, it was cancelled due to a coach being ill. We were offered a few options for make up class times. When we arrived, there were only two kiddos in the class that day but I didn't think anything of it. 25 minutes later, the coach brings the kids back and says class was cut short because there were only two kids... It's normally a 50 minute class! When I brought this issue up to the owner, she was very hostile and simply offered to end our tuition so we could no longer be members.

I would not recommend signing your kid up for ninja.

Look up the owner's name with USA gymnastics. She has been repremanded on several occasions about her behavior.
She has lost many good coaches in the past year because of this behavior. All about money, not the kids. It's not the coaches fault, it's the management.

I began bringing my kids here, because New Heights was an amazing and highly talked about gym when I was a gymnast. I was actually envious of New Heights gymnasts as a kid and wanted to switch to this gym, but knew my single mom would have never been able to afford it; however, I am truly disappointed with the services. When I need to schedule one of my children for a make up class, it's almost impossible to get ahold of anyone on the phone and I very rarely, if ever, get a response to emails. I am COMPLETELY understanding that they are short staffed, but it is so unorganized there. Each time my husband or I tried to speak to the woman we are directed to for inquiries, etc., it is nothing but excuses about how busy she is and that that isn't her primary job. Great, I understand that, but it is still one of your jobs and parents are paying hundreds of dollars for less than mediocre customer service. We drive out of our way to come to New Heights when Kids World is literally 3 miles from our home. Kids World is a dump so I really don't want to take them there. Plus, I have an extremely bad outlook on that place from when I was a teen gymnast there.

I also understand that working with young children can be extremely tiresome and frustrating. I get it. I'm a mother of 3, but many of the young coaches who work there and NOT good with young children. It's seriously like listening to that one teacher saying, "Bueller," from Ferris Bueller's Day off, while they just stand there with their arms crossed. The BEST coach is Makiah and my daughter loves her, but her Ladybugs class has a waiting list. She is incredible with kids!! You need to have a personality when working with young kids or you're going to lose their interest and I see it almost every session with all of the little girls in class.

On a positive note, I can say I haven't had any negative experiences with the ninja instructors. Jack is great with young kids, too. My son was so happy to hear he is his instructor again.

I can honestly say if my kids didn't enjoy gymnastics and ninja classes as much as they do, I would have left this gym months again. I'm only hanging on, because I'm holding onto hope that something will change. I really don't want to unenroll my kids.

I had heard great things about this gym. Unfortunately, I heard it before Covid.
I enrolled my kid because his therapist suggested he needed a class like fireflies for more structured play. I saw my autistic nephew improve a lot in a similar gym that I didn’t hesitate to follow the advice.

I did my research and on the New Heights page it says that the kids needs to be 2.5-3yo to take the Firefly class, which sounded perfect as our son was turning 3. My son started his classes and I acknowledge that his first instructor was kind but firm and knew what she was doing. But after the fifth class there were two other instructors that were too young and didn’t know how to treat toddlers.

So we were in his class, these young instructors trying to make the kids follow indications without success. My kid trying to listen without success too and this employee, the lady with glasses at the desk, approached us and said in the middle of the class, in front of the other parents, that my kid shouldn’t be in fireflies, that the class wasn’t for him.

She ended up suggesting Caterpillar one, a class with the parents next to him through the activities.

I wrote them trying to be super polite that I didn’t want to continue going there because I wasn’t interested in caterpillar because my son already has other classes in other places together with the parents (us). also the schedule wouldn’t work for us, and lastly we didn’t feel comfortable in a place where we were entertaining other people when she decided to discuss this type of situation in front of everyone. Even a parent from the class stood up to ask us what had happened.

I asked for a refund for the class that he wasn’t allowed to take alone and of course we didn’t want to take him again. After writing several times and let them know how we felt, they only wrote “ they hope for us to take caterpillar next session”.

So basically they wanted us to take a class that we were not interested in, embarrassed us in front of everyone, and because we did not submit to their conditions, the refund didn’t happen.

We attended the gym and enjoyed the teachers. Our kids had a great time. Then pandemic. I called because we had a "credit" on our account and asked for a straight refund to which I was politely told there would be no refund issued. I eplained we moved and didn't live in the state anymore and could never use said credit and still refused to issue a refund. Its just wrong and you should be wary of "signing" up your family.

Great place for our kids that the staff and owners actually care about doing their job and the kids they train and work with. I have been at other gymnastics locations over the years and have been super pleased with this location. Not that the other locations are bad, NH adds a bunch of new and different activities that you don't typically see.

I wish the viewing area had better air conditioning and the windows spanned the entire wall so this makes it a bit difficult to see our kids but unfortunately that is due to the city of Maumee and silly building code regulations. Ah well.

Still, great place, you can't go wrong here and your kids will sleep well at night!!!!
