Not so welcoming at all. I am new to the area and this is my 2nd or 3rd orangetheory I have visited. I'm just trying to find the right one to contuine to go to. This one here the two women at the front desk didn't speak until I said something to them. I walked in and they didn't even say hi or anything. But ive learned to deal with ppl like that. I had to tell them I'm new to this location and I had to instruct her to take my card to leave on file (doing her Job) She then said welcome and told me to pick a spot. Then once others started to walk in they all were greeted with a hi. But that's ok because this is giving me more of a reason to let this membership go because the orangetheorys this way are not worth my coins. The orangetheorys in the South, which is where I was before coming this way were amazing no matter which on I walked into. Overall, the coach that did the class was great and I loved her music. Hope, to see her again at another location if she travels between any other Orangetheorys.

This is one of many options for people looking to be more fit, and while it works for me it may not be for everyone. I have always been an athlete, and I love exercise. On the upside, I get a good workout twice a week for a reasonably priced package, and can add more workouts. You don't have to sign a lengthy contract because they bill month by month. The workouts are always different, and the instructors are very good at leading the classes through the three stations: treadmill, rowing machines, and floor/weight/TRX exercises. I find the heart rate monitoring and the display of previous workouts in the app to be very motivating. I also like that I can push myself as hard as I want, or work at a lower rate if I want a recovery / fat burning session. The instructors are very helpful in correcting my form, but don't try to get me to push harder than I want. So this may not be the right place for you if you need someone to motivate you through every workout.

The facility is always clean and well organized, the staff helpful and friendly, and the other members are a great crowd of people to exercise with.

On the downside, they play really loud uptempo music that can make it hard to hear the instructors. The heart rate monitors are expensive unless you happen to sign up during a promotion. The app works fine on my Android phone, but the app won't show my friend's workouts on her iPhone, and technical support hasn't been helpful. Finally, some of the workouts seem unnecessarily complicated and it can be difficult to establish a tempo because of constant switching between exercises and the three stations.

Overall, I love the workouts, and find it a good value. I am stronger and more fit and have certainly upped my aerobic capacity. Orangetheory would work great with a yoga practice because the strength and aerobic capacity complement the balance, focus, and flexibility of yoga.

Took my first 2G workout class at Oakley and overall it was positive and a great way to begin a Saturday morning. McKenna and Kate are both friendly and helpful with your fitness goals. The workout keeps you focused and includes speed and incline intervals on the tread along with strength training which is what I was looking for to incorporate into my running routine. Coach Kate is encouraging and knowledgeable. She does a great job keeping you motivated and advising on proper form and strategies on the exercises. I would recommend especially if you are looking to workout alongside a group

I have worked out at several OTF studios and I can say that I love Oakley as my home studio. They cheer me on and help me with alternative exercises when I can’t do the exercise (due to an elbow injury). I HIGHLY recommend this studio if you’re in the Cincinnati area!

ALRIGHT - Lets be real, who likes working out?l wouldn’t be the first person to raise my hand, however I would highly recommend OTF Oakley. First, the studio manager, Shaun, is absolutely amazing. I have been to many Orangetheory locations over the years and Oakley by far takes the hat. Between the staff, amazing instructors, and community - I finally feel the love for the gym.

I couldn’t run a mile (or wanted to) when I signed up about three months ago.. and now, I can say a mile is easy. I have lost some of the COVID 20 (lol) AND my body continues to improve with these workouts. 10/10 just try it out.

I have been member of Orangetheory fitness at this location since November 2018. I really like the classes and the coaches. However, this location has terrible management/customer service. In April this year, after attending one of the classes I asked the person at the front desk to change my membership from unlimited classes to 8-classes per month starting May. She looked up my account and said you are all set. In beginning of June, I realized I was charged for the unlimited classes and reached out to the front desk via phone and told them what had happened. The person said the manager will reach out to me in next couple of days. After a week or so the manager reached out to see why I wasn’t attending classes but not to update me about the extra charges. After explaining the whole situation, he said he can't find the paper trail so he can't do anything and instead offered that he can change my contract to basic (4-classes per month) for July month and then my contract can be terminated. If they can't find a paper trail then how is that my fault. How can they hold their customer responsible when its their own employee’s fault! I have never experienced such a horrible customer service before. Instead of offering refund for the extra charges he literally agreed to cancel my membership. I was their member for over 3 three years and this is how they treated me. This isn't the only situation, they charge you for missing any class even if you have an emergency. One time I was about to head out for my class when my dog started throwing up and I had to take him to the emergency. I called Orangetheory and told them about the situation and that I won't be able to attend. They refused to give me a free pass and charged me anyway. I even sent them a picture from Grady's hospital to show I wasn't lying. I have attended classes at other location as well (Springfield, IL) and I have to say I never encountered any issues in cancelling a class less than 8 hours before (you can cancel class 8 hours before for no cost) if you have health issue or an emergency.

Arrived about 15 minutes early Tuesday for the 7:30pm class with a friend. I was a new guest, wanted to take the class and I figured I would need to do some paperwork. As soon as I walked in, the folks at the front desk, who didn’t bother to greet us - immediately told us that they aren’t checking people in for 5 more minutes. So I waited 5minutes walked back in to check in. Upon checking in I was told I should have been there earlier to go over safety. I wasn’t able to take the class - which I felt insulted because I was actually there early and told to leave. The lady at the front desk didn’t even acknowledge her mistake.

DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP WITH THIS LOCATION!

Echoing what a previous reviewer said this location’s rules for cancelling during a pandemic are preposterous. I have an immune compromised family member and therefore not comfortable using public workout spaces. In order to cancel though, I have to pay for an entire month.

Friends and family that had OTF memberships in other locations did not have this problem at all.

AVOID THIS LOCATION LIKE THE PLAGUE (literally)

I started at OTF back in March and did enjoy my time working out. The HR band is cool, the coaches were nice and I came almost every day (I had the Premier membership) until they were forced to shut down about mid-month due to Covid-19. No one really knew what was going on and so I agreed to the 90 day freeze.

The freeze was about to end, and I still was not comfortable coming back seeing as infection rates were at an all time high and they literally just had a case of Covid-19 in the studio according to their Facebook page. I have an immune compromised parent and my fiancΓ© is in the medical field - something about working out in a tight room filled with strangers (probably not wearing masks, or not wearing them correctly) didn't seem very responsible.

I let the manager know my situation and that I unfortunately would need to cancel with full intentions of coming back once things were back to normal. I was told that I would still be charged an additional 30 days after canceling since that is their policy (keep in mind I didn't even get to use half of my first month, and already accepted that loss) These memberships are expensive, about $150 a month, for something that I cannot even use. We went back and forth and although they say they "understand" they showed little regard for my situation and didn't even attempt to put my concerns at ease - probably because they know the safety precautions they have in place such as wiping equipment are bull when the virus is airborne. The manager just expected me to willfully pay them another month of membership without providing a service. I truly believe that this isn't right and if they are doing this to me, there are probably others forced to squander that money or put the lives of the ones they love at risk.

I really don't like giving bad reviews, especially now when so many businesses are struggling. I basically pleaded with OTF over email and on the phone, and so I don't know what else to do. Maybe this review will save you from making the same mistake I did. There are so many other ways to stay healthy or get in shape without spending so much and risking the health of you or the ones you love.

I have been an OTF member for several months now, and have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences at every studio..... except this one.

My fiance and I were visiting family in the area, so we were planning to have 3 family members join us for a Saturday morning workout at this location. However, when we showed up 20 minutes early, my family was rudely told that they could not be admitted to class because they were not 30 minutes early. Yes, it was SUGGESTED that they show up 30 minutes early ("if they can") to meet the coach, see the facilities and sign some paperwork; however, it was certainly not required. Then we were told that my fiance and I could still join (as if I would ditch my own family.)

In the 3 instances where I've been to a studio with new attendees (including myself), 20 minutes is MORE than enough time to do all of those things. For example, the coach we would meet was still leading the class before us and would not be done for at least 10 more minutes.

Note to the studio: if it's REQUIRED to show up at least 30 minutes, you need to make that clear, especially if you will not be admitted to class. It was a huge disappointment to my family and me. It's a shame, as we had been talking up how much we liked OTF and the community it fosters.

My family, having just moved into a new house nearby, was looking for a new place to exercise, so they were quite excited for OTF. However, after this experience, OTF certainly lost their business.

Very rude with out of town & new members. We were trying to recruit family members. The email explicitly stated "try to arrive 30 minutes early", since we have a 1 & 2 year old it took us a bit to get going this morning and we arrived 20 minutes early. We were turned away. They needed time to sign paperwork, tour the studio & meet the coach. There was a class before that ended 5 minutes before our class would start so they essentially had 15 minutes to sign paperwork... We are loyal orangetheory members at our the studio , have been talking up OTF, and just very disappointed by how it turned out. Our family members won't he trying OTF, especially this studio.

I'm not usually a treadmill-er, but the cardio pushes were awesome. The coach made them manageable by cuing us to how much time was left - so your brain's like, "Just 15 more sec? Okay, I can crush this for 15 seconds." Rowing machine / weight intervals were fun (intense is fun), too. The OT workout was a great way to mix things up and get my heart rate going.

I was a member of this particular Orangetheory for about a year, before my eventual move to St. Louis. Having worked out in numerous other OTF locations I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the Oakley facility is about as close to perfect as you can get. The coaches are probably the best I have experienced and took an interest in every client.

Every class is a great workout. The variety of workouts prevents you from getting bored. The only constructive comments I have are: a lot of classes that are supposed to be 2G are turned into 3G without letting people know in advance, and there was a corporate discount I was eligible for that they didn’t tell me about. It was 1.5 years before I found out I could have been getting the discount every month and when I finally mentioned it they screwed it up for another month. Also, right now they’re running a special for the summer but they’re making it really hard for premiere members to get the discount. One more thing I do like is the different challenges they do every month. They cap these off at how many people can participate but if you are able to participate they keep you motivated.

One of the best and most engaging group fitness workouts I have tried! Because it was my first time I was given a full tour and rundown of how the class worked so I felt extremely prepared for when I stepped inside. The instructor was bubbly, motivating and also kept a close eye on the new people in the class to make sure we were doing okay.

Fantastic workout and I definitely sweated my ass off! Loved the heart rate monitors and the heart rate zones- definitely helped me to focus on my own workout and how I was feeling rather than feeling I needed to keep up with other people's pace.
I will be purchasing a membership here ASAP as they can be used at ANY OT location in the US!
