What is Pilates?
Pilates is an exercise routine that focuses on the core but also includes the arms and legs. No matter the body type, age or gender, anyone can do Pilates. Many clients seek out Pilates because they are looking for something low impact to help lengthen and strengthen their muscles. Some use it as their sole source of exercise, coming as often as 4 times a week. Others use it to supplement their running, heavy weight lifting and other routines to help prevent injury, increase flexibility and/or as a source of relaxation. At Pilates For Life, Pilates Reformers are primarily used. Class sizes are limited to 5-7 participants.

All the instructors are great! If you walk into class with a specific issue, they all seem to find just the right stretch or move to help. I could barely walk when I started classes a year ago due to plantar fasciitis. I am pain free most days now! I highly recommend them! My balance has also greatly improved! They are top-notch, cream of the crop!!

I have been doing Pilates here twice a week for four years. If I have to miss a session I can really tell the difference. It has helped my balance so much and my fibromyalgia. The instructors are all great! The best investment of time and money! I highly recommend everyone to try this!

Pilates for Life has made tremendous improvements for me mentally and physically. I started in Botkins approximately three years ago when I encountered issues with my bone density and the initial start of osteopenia. My last scan showed a 5% increase in bone density and this was the biggest life style change I made.
The instructors are warm, welcoming, and very helpful. The positive environment and instructor knowledge allows everyone to discover their own level of fitness and class comfort. As well as the instructors, other clients have always created an inviting and engaging atmosphere to newcomers at the studio.

I have been going to Pilates For Life for several years. I started in New Breman and switched to the Botkins location when it opened because it was closer to home. I am a Group Exercise instructor myself and one of the participants in one of my classes recommended Pilates for Life to me for a low back issue I have. It really has made a difference. I have been going twice a week ever since. Katie is a special person. Her PT background is so helpful. All of the instructors are top notch. They are always willing to work with you in a group session to accommodate individual needs. Thank you Pilates for Life! We are so lucky to have you in our area.

I have been going to Pilates for Life for a year now. I love the classes, and the instructors are great at explaining how to do the moves. They adjust them too if needed. I have had Sarah for most of the classes and recently have had Lisa for some of them. They are both wonderful!! You can tell they are passionate about teaching! I would highly recommend taking a class. I was never one to go anywhere to exercise, but going here is great, and they make it fun!!

My favorite part of the week is this! The noise of the world disappears as I focus on breathing and the exercises. Classes are small and the instructors are knowledgeable and friendly! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I no longer hurt in the middle of the night and I don’t feel like I just beat myself up after a workout. Thank you thank you thank you!

The instructors are all different and always seem to know what I need! Every time I go (and I have been going for over 2 years) I get a different workout! Each instructor is aware of my needs (bad knees) and are willing and able to modify specific exercises to fit me! My core is so much stronger and I can actually feel my stomach muscles activate after having a C-Section! Love this place and all the instructors that work here!

Pilates for Life is fantastic! I’ve been going weekly for 18 months. I’ve never felt stronger at a core level, and all the instructors I’ve had are friendly and knowledgeable. I started attending post physical therapy for an injury, and now I recommend it to friends and family who are dealing with similar issues. Katie and her team worked with my initial physical limitations and I’ve been able to recover way more functionality that I ever thought possible. Plus, it’s a fun way to work out!

I started going to Pilates for Life in Botkins in January of this year for rehab. I began with Private classes from Katie and have advanced to Modification classes. Katie was so good and patient with me. She’s very knowledgeable with helping people who have had Hip Replacements, Knee Replacements, etc. There are many things I can do now in my day to day life which I wasn’t able to do when I first started. Thank you Katie from the bottom of my heart!!

Pilates is a game changer. I am 54 years old and I have been attending classes for six months. My posture has improved, I’ve noticed decreased muscle and joint soreness and an increase in strength throughout my core and legs. The best thing though is how these improvements happen quickly and benefit you on a daily basis by giving you more energy and adding to your quality of life. Everything I do gardening, walking stairs, hiking and working have all become easier thanks to Pilates. The staff is wonderful and I’m so thankful that they do what they do. They are improving lives.
