Ive been and played at alot of courses and figured we would try this one. What a mistake. They book way more people then can play at a normal pace. You wait at a tee box for 2 groups to hit before you. The greens are horrible and fairways suck.
I would not recommend coming here if you want to enjoy golfing like it should be done. They should invest more into the golf course instead of booking a cedar point crowd to make money

This course is inexpensive, but the reality is you get about what you’re paying for. Needs a lot of work. It appears that it was let go for many years. Hopefully the new ownership can make it a little better. Would be a nice layout if it was in good shape. Looks like the new bar/restaurant is ready to open in the clubhouse, it’s a nice remodel. Fairways were covered in crabgrass, and a few just need to be completely reseeded. I think it was 15 that was especially bad, half the fairway was dirt/mud. Lots of tree maintenance is needed. Course needs to pay someone over the winter to trim branches and clean up properly. A lot of the place is just over grown and going wild. Poison ivy is all over the place on this course, so be careful if you hit one in the trees and go looking for it. Cart paths are in terrible shape for the most part, except for a handful of holes where attempts have been made to improve. There are a couple real nice holes, the course definitely has potential. I really like #9 and #17. Good place to go if you’re looking for an inexpensive round.

Starting out the older pro shop employee was extremely rude. The course conditions were barely playable, not all holes are labeled so if you have never been here finding your next hole can take a minute. The pro shop drink cooler could have been colder for the drinks they had and could have provided more food options than a Milky Way candy bar. Also carts were not in great shape . Would not recommend for the price .

This course has one thing going for it: It's cheap. If you just want to get out onto a piece of land where you can hit golf balls and it resembles a course, this is your place. The conditions aren't exactly good, I'm fairly certain they don't have an irrigation system of any kind, most tee boxes and fairways are absolute rock.

The layout actually isn't bad and could make for a decent course, but it's going to need a lot of work. They just updated the club house and looks like they're wrapping up that work now. Unfortunately it needs far more than a clubhouse renovation to make this course anywhere I'd like to return to. I genuinely want to like it, but the conditions are just bad.

Unfortunately we haven't had a ton a rain recently. Hey was my first time ever playing here and I really really hope this is not how it typically is.soooo there was no carts available and was told just to wait for a cart to come in. Granted there was. 3 to 4 groups also waiting on carts and we were all back up on first tee, when I arrived right at my tee time. Cart didn't free up for at least 20 min. Why even have tee times? . And then we were backed up on multiple holes for more then 10 to 15 min. This course is serious potential if they can get it together and put some money into it. But anyway
Course conditions were terrible. Fairways were not good at all, literally all dirt and crab grass. Greens weren't very nice also. But definitely the only some what decent part of whole course. The tee boxes unfortunately were absolutely terrible, most of them were rock hard dirt that you couldn't even get a Tee in the ground. Tee times were all backed up. Doesn't make sense to have so many open tee times when course is packed solid with no carts to use. And I'm not a picky golfer either but this was just bad experience for me. I really hope they get it together there and make it nice instead of putting all their money in the clubhouse put the money into the golf course it's self. Thats the reason why we're there is to play golf. Please make it nice so I can come back to play.

Just got done playing here and will NEVER be back ! Had a foursome and we were followed hole to hole by a worker who stared at us the whole time and even told us to “pick up the pace” after the fifth hole . A group of 2 were behind us and teed off properly 5 minutes after us of coarse they are going to catch up to a group of 4 ! Don’t understand why you would let a foursome book a tee time if you are just going to follow them around the whole time and rush them. Super unprofessional and rude! Also we golf a lot the 4 of us finished in 2 hours we weren’t moving slow to be followed like that.

HORRIBLE golf experience today. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. Tee off at 4:30 with a group of 4, play 2 man scrambles. After being told “if your ball is on the green, stay on the cart path” when our ball wasn’t even on the green (slowed down our pace of play due to walking to the ball), we were then followed each and every hole afterwards and there wasn’t even anyone teeing off after us for a solid 20 minutes. Once a 2 sum finally caught us, he then wagged his finger and told us to pick up the pace and the 2 sum wasn’t even done with the hole they were on. If you are that adamant about pace of play, maybe you should fix your cart paths so we don’t have to dodge craters to not blow a tire out. ZERO STARS ⭐️

Today was my birthday and my friends and I went to Pine Brook to experience such rude behavior. We were rushed and told by a worker, “you guys need to play faster”. The worker also watched us on every hole, which was uncomfortable. One of my friends was from out of town and it was just embarrassing and it sucked we all had to go through that. I played here tonight and have never encountered such a poorly ran and managed golf course. After waiting 20 minutes per hole, we drove up and found 13 players on the same hole.

We engaged with the group and told them they were holding up the entire course. They said they do it all the time and it’s not a big deal. We called the clubhouse and the 15 year old kids said there is nothing they can do about it.

We talked to the older ranger in the St. Ignatius high school polo and he proceeded to lie right to our face and state that the group is playing as 3 separate 4 somes. The starter was watching them right in front of us and lied. He stated there isn’t anything he can do and drove away.

If you allow 11-13 people in one group, that’s fine but let the course know that is happening. There is no need to lie and state there is nothing you can do when your only job is to enforce the rules.

Just finished golfing tonight, what a circus. 30 minute wait, each of the first 3 holes. We decided to call it a night and leave only to see a group of 10-12 golfers on the same hole a few holes ahead of us arguing with several groups all stuck behind them.

The best part…. The ranger was sitting and watching and defending the group with double digit golfers on the same hole. The ranger was within twenty feet of the huge group but trying to say they were not playing together.

Pretty sure multiple people and groups were videoing taping the whole ordeal. Been golfing for years and never seen a golf course managed and run worse. They probably lost 10-20 golfers for life over that nonsense.

**in fairness, if you’re looking to go golfing with 10-15 of your best friends on the same hole for 10 hours…. This place is 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️

Decent track, we booked a Tee time via the course last week, first group out, the gentleman in the clubhouse mentioned they were having a outing at 9am (we started at 6:20am) so to just keep the pace up so we didn’t interfere with the outing. Very reasonable and we were on our way. We are in the fairway on 14, and the starter (Power trip Bob will call him) drives up to us extremely rude and says we have 10 min to LEAVE the course, so that the outing can start. Mind you it was 8:15 when he approached us. Starter needs to retire or get talked to from
Management. Also block out slots if you don’t want people to go out before an outing.

I went to Holy love of ministries going there is peaceful, and to talk with God and let him know how you feel, this place is where the sighing of Jesus Christ and Mary his mom. Plus you can get the holy water out of the spring well where it has been blessed. This is my 3rd time going and you have to believe and have faith in him and if you do your world will change and when I tell you it's an amazing place they have a lot of testimonies. I thank my friend for taking me the first time and her family. No matter what religion you are we all serve the same God.

Let me start by saying if I could rate this a negative number I would. This is absolutely the worst course I’ve ever played, and without a doubt the worst course in Cleveland. We booked 18 holes, and left after 9, eating the cost of the back 9. It took us 3 HOURS TO GET THRU 9 HOLES because they overbooked. At one point there were 6 tee times waiting on a par 5 hole (no exaggeration) because it was so backed up. We politely asked for our money back on the back 9 explaining that we could not afford the time that another 9 would take, and were met with the rudest person we’ve ever met, as he responded “nope” before I could finish my sentence. I again went to explain our stance and again, interrupted by a “nope”. This went on for 3 more turns until I had to walk out to save myself (truly, him) from myself. We walk out to try and get our moneys worth and just finish the 9, as there are 4 groups ahead of us waiting to tee off, and I make a comment to the ranger asking if they overbooked today, and he also rudely responded that they booked one group every 7 minutes (admitting that they in fact did overbook?). I responded explaining that 7 minutes per time is an overbook and he interrupted me by saying “hey!”, pointing his finger at me, and raising his voice to me. At this point we left the carts where they stood, and left. I wouldn’t come back to this course if I was paid to come back. Truly awful.

This isn't an overly fancy course, and for the cost, people shouldn't compare it to some of the higher end courses that they've played. It's an enjoyable, no frills, good old rural Ohio vibe course. Sure the rough isn't perfectly cut, tee boxes are so-so, and the fairways aren't perfect, but it's still very enjoyable if you can keep the ball straight and near the fairway. The greens on the other hand, were in excellent shape. Lots of wooded areas, a handful of water hazards, and some sand bunkers, makes this course tough enough the average golfer to consider challenging. I went after a few days of heavy rain, and everything was nice and dry, so no soft areas to restrict the carts from driving on.
If you play from the blue tips it changes things up and increases the difficulty on several of the holes. In my opinion for what it costs to play here, it's worth it and I'll definitely go back.

First time golfing here today. This course has tons of potential. Great layouts and very fun holes. The upkeep on the greens and fairways were decent but the rough and all surrounding areas were atrocious. If we didn't hit the fairway, it was next to impossible to find our ball. I think they focused more on these areas, it would be a great course to play. Price a little high at 37.00 for the condition but I'd definitely be willing to pay if they made the necessary improvements

Not the easiest course to shoot on, not the best quality and not the cheapest. I loved it when it was $30 to play but it's $37 now because it's included in the Fairways Membership thing. It's mild on difficulty and seema to play a little long. Some holes seem repetitive and the path is best to be avoided, in places. I suggest viewing the parking lot before booking a tee time there as it's sometimes packed. They have leagues there and I've seen high schools practicing there.

A countryfied golf course in the middle of Lorain county. It is reasonably well maintained except for the following areas; The tee boxes are pretty pocked marked with divots. You can see where they are trying to fill the holes but they need lots more sand to get the job done.

The cart oaths are like negotiating a mine field with bumps, pot holes and raised root areas. There has to be several hundred dead pine trees that are an eyesore and should be removed. The fairways are a long distance from the tees on the par 4 and 5s even for our longest hitters

The bright spot on this layout is the greens. They are very well maintained, roll true and very consistent. Kudos to them for the greens.

The good; wasn't overly busy, greens are in nice condition, and the course has some challenging terrain with slope.
The bad; green are small and the course has some very tight shoots. The rough is long and there is currently some standing water (not hazards). Cart paths are in rough condition..where they exist.

My experience with people who think they know what they are talking about is what I will speak to here. Maintaining a golf facility is difficult. There are budget constraints (because no one wants to pay anything to play anymore) , weather factors that are not favorable (It's April in Northeast Ohio people) and last, but not least, customers with COMPLETELY UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS. I was in the business for well over 20 years. This place is great for the money. It isn't, nor do they try to be, Augusta National. Nice place to play golf and enjoy yourself.

My guess, and I know I am right, is these people putting one star reviews haven't got a CLUE as to what they are even talking about and wouldn't know a "fare way" from a FAIRWAY (IDIOT) if it jumped up and bit them in the butt. Learn to enjoy the game and enjoy life people.
