I've moved out of the area and after visiting the Kent location I will continue to visit this location. Please keep up on your equipment better than that location. I keep my membership specifically for the massage chairs and hydro beds! And the massage chairs at the other location Do not work properly same chairs Don't give even half the pressure yours do or massage.

The staff here is extremely unprofessional. One employee approached me while I had my headphones on, touched me to get my attention, and stood uncomfortably close to my face because I didn't wipe down a machine. Although I wasn't the only person present, he chose to single me out.

For a gym that doesn’t tolerate discrimination…. They discriminate against a lot of people. Save your money and go elsewhere. The price isn’t competitive and the rules are worthless for any person whose been to a gym

So I was two days late on my payment and I have a separate bank account that all the bills come out of that I put money in once a month to pay all the bills well Atlas apparently the manager would not let me work out because I was two days late. I’ve been a member of planet fitness for over a year. She turned me away and wouldn’t let me get a workout in. If you ask me good dependable customers are hard to come by. I won’t be making my payment. And I’m going to find another gym and I know I’m just one customer but let’s say she does that too. I don’t know five customers a year. I’m very disappointed. I’ve never had a problem with planet fitness and I’ve been a black card member for over a year so because of Atlas, you just lost a customer forever.

Between the start up charges, yearly fees, and cancellation charges Planet fitness gave me a very expensive lesson that you cant be a casual member of this gym

I honestly am afraid to leave a review lol only because I don’t want everybody flocking to this location! Honestly, I have been to many Planet Fitness locations around the country. Definitely pretty much all of them in the Akron and Cleveland area. This has to be one of the best! Not only is the facility spotless, but they have new ample and updated equipment, and the staff is absolutely fantastic. Always friendly, always helpful and always with a smile who would’ve thought that a gym in Lakemore would be so amazing? If you know, Lakemore, you’d understand what I’m saying lol it is never too crowded to find a machine and their tanning and massage area is top-notch! I also love that they do not have large locker rooms. Rather, they have individual changing rooms as well as individual shower rooms. I would recommend this location to pretty much anybody. But please, keep it clean and don’t abuse it. I love it here!

I was at the one in Lakemore Plaza and one of the young men, Tim really helped me with how to work a machine for my needs.
Atlas, J'Lyn & IMere were all so helpful.as well with questions, good group of young adults, willing to help and they seemed to get along among themselves. I had to add.. all the employees that I have come in contact with, and who helped me have been great... again good group of young people 👏

I’ve been coming to this Planet Fitness five days a week for a little over two months now, and overall, I really like it. For the price, it’s hard to beat, and I’ll probably keep my membership.

However, there’s one issue that happens at least twice a week: Staff will clean right as I’m using a machine or stand awkwardly close behind me, waiting for me to finish. A few times, they’ve even moved my water bottle without asking just to wipe down the area. It’s bizarre and makes the whole experience uncomfortable like they’re subtly pressuring me to hurry up. The worst is when I’m on the treadmill, trying to focus on my run, and someone starts dusting or wiping it down around me. I get that cleaning is necessary, but there has to be a better way to handle it. Maybe wait until machines are actually free? I checked online to see if others had the same complaint, and it seems like it’s a common issue.

Still, for the price, it’s a solid gym just wish the cleaning crew had a little more awareness.

Two of the most unpleasant people at the front desk both male and the female. Clueless, unfriendly and just a strange presence. Women locker room uncleaned and black spa area unkempt. I have since removed the high rating originally given. Other staff persons were working previously so the experience was pleasant. Today a 2 star rating is well deserved for those 2.

The best set up Planet Fitness in America. I frequently travel across America and I've been to many Planet Fitness centers. This gym has an adequate number of benches, dumbbells, areas, that mostly eliminate wait time. It's not the biggest Planet Fitness, but very effectively planned out. Thanks.

I like the tanning beds at this location but a lot of the staff are not very nice especially the one trainer. I would never go to this location if it weren't for the tanning beds. Equipment is nice and it is very clean unfortunately staff can make or break you. The Tallmadge location staff is AMAZING Tim and Ireland rock honestly if I knew all of their names I would put them down tanning needs some help. I would give this location 4.5 🌟

Myself I love coming to this gym most of the coworkers are always friendly while one on the other hand just seems some kind of rude. Everything is clean . I wish there was a way to get a tour without having to go through the hoops of registering at a kiosk with emails, phone numbers, links to the app, etc...I just wanted someone to show me around to see what the facility is like. I know they do this to streamline the sign up process but I wasn't signing up, I just wanted someone to show me around for now. The staff member said they make them do it for liability. Honestly ridiculous, I just left.

Place stared out nice... But they're "occupancy meter" always reads low like two bars and I cannot find many machines that are NOT being used. 1 treadmill was open...

Place is full of humidity so the windows are foggy. Can't bring a jump rope inside or outside equipment.

Water fountain only squirts about an inch high so you cannot drink out of it...

And they have transgender friendly bathrooms. Sorry this place is worth maybe $10 a month... But what is the point if you can't get your workout in.

Hopefully they can fix some of these things before I renew my membership. :(

I love the Lakemore Location. Private changing rooms and showers. 3 separate free weight areas. Great equipment options. Tanning & Massage chairs work fantastic.

But mostly is has great staff. They're always nice and helpful. Everytime I've been into Lakemore they're deep cleaning something. Literally the trash cans were being deep cleaned when I was in there today. I hope the staff gets praise for doing so well. They deserve it.

I love the new PF! It's a very warm and inviting environment. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. And of course no judgement ever. I've been on a health and wellness journey since October of 24 and am down 35lbs in 3 months and planet fitness has been a huge part of my journey! Here are some progress photos. Hopefully they will inspire someone else to want to better themselves too. I'm so glad I made the decision to join my local planet fitness. Not to mention, it's a brand new club with all new equipment! They have every piece of equipment, cables and Smith machines you need to help you reach your goals. With all the added Perks of being a black card memeber, ie tanning, red-light therapy, massage chairs, hydro beds, apparel, and so much more!
