This is a bit long, but if you were considering getting a membership, pls read this. If i could give this place 0 stars i would. I had to cancel my membership about 2 months back, and I was unsure of the cancellation options so I called up and spoke to a worker and she had told me I can cancel on the website. I put the information in, got a big “canceled” screen telling me how long i had my benefits for now, and went on abt my day thinking i didn’t have to worry about it. Until the next month i get charged $27. So i called up explained the situation thinking it would be an easy fix. but no. I got told that they would take my name and number down to leave a note for the manager to contact me when she was in. never got a call. a few weeks later, i try to call again. the manager wasn’t there. again, they said they said they’ll have a manager call me. surprise surprise, never got a call. Up until abt last week, when the $50 fee was taken out of my canceled account. so then, i called again. still no manager in sight, although this is about the 5th or 4th call i had made and i was calling all different times n all different days (the manager, kaitlyn i believe must enjoy only working an hour a week). someone picked up, and had told me that they can’t do anything but the manager will be there monday at 9. i called yet again for the assistant manager Laureano to pick up. To tell me that he can only refund me the $50 because the $27 can’t be refunded BECAUSE ITS BEEN A MONTH. you know why it’s been so long? bc you and your management don’t know how to contact someone back, even with me calling back. so i’m out of $30 because you have a manager that’s either never there or js not answering phones? not to mention the fact that i canceled my account. No money should be taken out. i called again a SIXTH time today and finally spoke to kaitlyn for her to js tell me the same thing. the fact that im working full time nights to sit here n spend my days calling you guys for months on end just to find a resolution for your guys wrong doing and what should’ve been a simple fix the first 3 calls i made is absolutely ridiculous. fix the website or take the option down to cancel on the website, and get better management. i will be contacting corporate.

Planet Fitness prides itself on being a "Judgment Free Zone," but unfortunately, the reality at this location is the complete opposite. My experience has shown me that this motto is not upheld by the staff, whose behavior makes members feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. It costs nothing to be kind, but the employees here seem to have forgotten that simple truth. Instead of focusing on their jobs, a specific group of staff members, especially a white male with glasses, consistently gossip about gym members. This behavior is unprofessional and creates an incredibly negative atmosphere. A gym should be a place for business a place to work out and go home not a social club for employees to congregate and pass judgment on the very people who pay their salaries. The staff's behavior is disrespectful and directly contradicts the core values Planet Fitness claims to have. Everyone has their own personal battles and reasons for being in the gym. They deserve to enter and exit without feeling like they are the subject of gossip. The unprofessional conduct of these employees speaks for itself and is a direct violation of the judgment free environment that is promised to all members. There's no need to email management; they're the problem. The owner should consider cleaning house with management. I urge management and the gym owners to review the surveillance footage. The cameras will confirm the constant loitering and gossiping at the front desk. This behavior needs to be addressed immediately to ensure that this gym can truly live up to its "Judgment Free Zone" promise.

I have been a black member 3 years and to facilities in 3 Ohio counties. The people who work here are nice and helpful. The equipment area looks pretty clean but the locker rooms in this place are filthy. I am aso convinced I contracted a Staph or Cellulitis rash here. The changing rooms had white residue that someone obviously spit onto the wall and I noticed chewed white tobacco pouches in the shower stall and toilets. I use the facility late at night and have never seen anyone cleaning the shower. The lady working out in Wayne cleaned them at 1AM on a nightly schedule. The rash is unbelievably painful. Its put me into down mode 4 days at this point and destroyed whatever productivity that would have come along with the time. While the rash isn’t shaped like a PF logo it’s likely the only place I would have picked it up, because it’s the only place I’ve gone. I live alone (cat) and you literally could eat off my bathroom floor. I tend to be ridiculously clean. Before you even ask yes I wiped the equipment off before and after I used it. Whatever pink cleaner is in that bottle smells like it is for glass and doesn’t kill bacteria. The changing areas and showers looked so disgusting I quit using them weeks ago. The spit has been in that stall the entire time. The showers smelled like burnt hair too.

Awesome club, I am a fan of this location! Positive atmosphere, clean, well maintained, staff is friendly and helpful, equipment is new and there is a wide variety for everyone to use so no waiting, music is not intrusively loud, other members seem courteous, locker room is beautiful. I walked in at 446 am tuesday morning March 11th and not a staff member in sight. No big deal as it's early and they may be doing something. BUT to not see a staff member for 16 minutes as I waited to get a tan in before work is absurd. And there are 2 people working!!

Love this gym it’s big and the stretch area is great love the stretch bars they have. Love the massage chairs and how they are in the back not in front like other places where everyone looks at you while walking in. These are in a room of their own and you feel very relaxed. If you are just starting working out this is an affordable place with good selection of equipment. Only thing I wish they had is a sauna id pay more for that and I’d never leave PF for any other gym. Maybe one day they’ll add that to the mix.

I go at 4 am, the club is clean and tidy. The members are always there to put a smile on my face and cheer me on every-time they see me. The equipment is very sturdy, clean and always open for use. The staff have a smile on their faces and make it feel very welcoming. 10/10 recommend planet fitness for your fitness goals.

To be allowed to bring my bike in so no one steals it 9/10 times is cool. But the worst thing is riding your bike in freezing temperates snow smacking your glasses. Miserable 4 mile bike ride. .. all for that 1/10th time to ruin it for you! No where to put my bike so if it gets stolen now what? Joke!

A few years ago, I was a member of Planet Fitness at the Brook Park location. Due to a medical condition, my account was placed on hold by an employee since it could not be canceled at the time due to my 12-month contract. I was informed that once my contract expired, I could cancel my account. Additionally, I was told that my account would remain frozen for 36 months and that I could return anytime to reactivate it.

However, after a year had passed, I noticed my account was charged an annual fee, despite my extended absence from the club. I attempted to resolve this issue by contacting the club but was unable to reach the manager. During one of my calls, I encountered a night-shift employee who was extremely rude, unhelpful, and authoritarian in demeanor.

Despite my persistence, I still could not get in touch with the manager until today when I finally spoke with Tom Wood. Unfortunately, this interaction was no better. Tom Wood was dismissive, unprofessional, and exhibited behavior that I found discriminatory. I politely requested a refund for charges I never authorized, but he outright refused to address my concerns or engage in a constructive conversation.

Thankfully, I remembered his name—Tom Wood—and I want to make it clear that this matter is far from over. I will escalate my complaint to Planet Fitness’ corporate office to ensure his unprofessional and disrespectful behavior is addressed appropriately.

I only come to this location because my normal location is under construction(that was only supposed to be a week and has now been two months) . It has been horrible so far. Half the people in the gym just sit on equipment on their phones not doing a single actual workout and the staff does not says a word to them, I wait 20+ minutes to use equipment that is just being used as a couch. The staff will send you into tanning beds but not start the bed so after you've gotten ready and go to get in you have to get dressed and go back out and ask them again to start it. And half the time there is no one around to even set you up in a bed. Today the only employee that was visible in the whole gym spent around 15 minutes on a phone call while a whole line of people were waiting for tanning beds. I understand you have to take calls but either have more than one employee working or tell the person you need to put them on hold for a minute. No one has time to stand there waiting all day and we pay for a membership to use this equipment. Would not recommend planet Fitness to anyone at all but especially not this location or the Parma location. The only good location I've been to is over an hour away.

Been working out at this gym pretty much every day for the past 6 months. I saw another gym user turning the step up boxes for a better angle to perform their workout. When I did the same thing, I was confronted by two gym employees (why was necessary for two employees to confront me, I'm not sure, but it felt rather intimidating) who, instead of simply asking me not to do that, proceeded to pull up camera footage of me turning the boxes and inform me in a very aggressive manner that "this ain't my own personal gym". If they had simply asked me not to do that, I would've apologized and not done it. Instead, I think I'll find somewhere else to work out at where the workers don't get in my face if I do something against the gym rules without realizing it.

Reported station #2 Chest Press Machine in the 30 Minute room is wobbly, literally waved away, going on 4 months, still wobbly, not fixed.

Clean, not usually crowded and has most of what I ise for a workout. Could use the coded lockers instead of meking you bring a lock. A lock is required unless you want to carry your cell phone with you throughout your workout. Unfortunately, a cell phone is required to gain access to the club each time. They don't issue key chain tags. This results in lots of folks sitting on machines scrolling through their cell phones.

Great place for a workout, with plenty of cardio machines. I've only been there early morning peak hours where you were still able to use the machines and weights without having to wait...my kind of facility. The customer service was good too.

I’ve been a member at a few different PFs in the 216 over the years and this one is pretty great. Not the biggest, but the location is excellent and it’s always very clean.

It can definitely get crowded at the obvious times, but usually only an issue when the teens are hogging machines while facetiming. Staff is attentive, and machines are repaired relatively quickly.

My only idea for improvement would be to remove a few pieces of equipment from the stretching area because there is only room for a couple people to put mats down with the current cramped layout.

Love the gym but there is the SUPER BO. The most offensive discusting individual with a hooded grey sweat shirt with no sleeves thinks he is on stage as a heavy metal drummer/guitarist flailing his arms while wafting tremendous BO. I transferred to this location and am so pleased I did! The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable of the various equipment. The facility is clean and easy to navigate and if I couldnt find a piece of equipment the staff seemed pleased to help.
