planet fitness in Canal Winchester, it’s not safe to workout there. I’ve been there on my first day and I left my bag in their locker. Since it’s my first day, I didn’t bring my lock so there’s this guy who works in the front desk and he said “just put your bag in that locker” so I trusted him since he works there. After working out, I went to walmart to buy some things , when I looked at my wallet, my cards were gone‼️. He swipe it in MACYS and other transactions. I already did some POLICE report and it’s in further investigation. Please be aware, it’s not safe to workout there because of the people. Gym equipment is good but the people? You can’t trust them. It will be my lesson and I hope to future customer to be aware of the surroundings.

If you shower. And the water is cold at ant location. Tell them to shut off the water in the utility room they use for mop water. The hot handle goes left and cold goes to the right and wow u have hot water in the showers. They do this I feel on purpose to keep from extra water being used. Which is a joke if we pay for it.

I am a new member. I canceled my Curves membership to come here because of convenience and location. I was looking forward to the 30 minute circuit. Upon arriving at the location for my first workout, I was told the 30 minute circuit was gone. While they kept the machines. Every time I go those machines are not available and I have to constantly wait. I don’t have hours to spend in the gym. I have to be in and out in 30 minutes. I have yet to feel like I’ve gotten a decent workout. I’m very disappointed.

Not my preferred location, especially since I've started going to the Grove City location. Small and feels like they just shoved as much as they could into the space. Only real positive is the price, location, and the now have actual squat racks and not just the machines

I'm from North Carolina, and have been a member for years, I'm here in Ohio because I drive trucks, I was about to go workout around 630pm ,I waited to avoid traffic , but they close at 7pm, I've never experienced a planet fitness that wasn't 24hrs

Dimitri works at the desk at Canal Winchester gym gave me a hard time because he couldn't find my information in the system. Basically called me a liar and was very rude. Instead of calling my home gym Athens and confirming my information and helping a customer out he said sorry i cant help u. So i couldn't even work out. I mean what happened to good customer service these day. I been a member with Planet Fitness for years, i wont go back to that gym again. I'll stick with Pickerington gym, they trust me with respect and i never have any issues.

I wished they had the Arch Trainers like other Planet Fitness gyms. This is the first PF without the Trainers; they feel more natural than the ellipticals there. Despite this, it's a nice gym.

I have been with the Planet Fitness location in Canal Winchester, OH for over a year now and my experience has been AWESOME. The staff is super friendly and helpful (shoutout to Kaylynn (?)) and I always leave feeling accomplished thanks to my training sessions with Kasey. With his help I've stayed consistent with my workouts for an entire year and I'm eager to continue that journey. I love my Planet Fitness and can't see myself going anywhere else.

Planet Fitness Policies clearly states on their website under General Etiquette, "...if you are resting between sets, allow other members to use the equipment." Many patrons refuse to comply with this policy and front desk personnel are unwilling to enforce it. I even asked to have the manager call me the next day and I got crickets. I've tried several times to diplomatically explain the policy to non-compliant members and the resistance has been so strong at time that I've felt threatened that a fight might ensue. My girlfriend refuses to workout with me anymore because she's fearful of a fight breaking out. The membership has been a disaster and I'm cancelling and going to request a refund. I'm amazed at how few people know weight room etiquette.

Yhis is my 1st time at this location. The facility was fine but I didn't like the fact most of the time I was on treadmill a man 2 machines down talked very loudly on his ph through ear pods using foul language & nothing was said to him. I thought that was something Planet Fitness bragged about not having to deal with. And I know the two guys at the front heard him because each of them walked past us at some point. They were courteous with people coming & going but seemed more interested in laughing with each other than handling things like that. I think I will stick to my regular location.

This using to be a gym I loved coming too. But the cleanliness has gone downhill. Tanning bed Bulbs have been out even one telling staff they remain out. And dirty as well as the floors have hair and dust on them which you don’t think it’s a big deal but if you’re going tanning and you leave with it on your socks or your bare feet. Showering have pink Mold in them. Means pointless telling staff. Sanitizing stations have either been removed or empty. New equipment has packed the gym so you’re not really able to move or have any spaces for free weights. Disappointing and do not Recommend. If you have the ability to go to another location, I would suggest to do so.

The Canal location needs to be more sanitary. The Men's locker room is always dirty. The sinks and mirrors are never clean. The toilets are nasty. The shower doors are not cleaned. Out of the 14 central Ohio locations...this one is at the bottom. Gym area is fine...the locker room...AVIOD.

This is a nice planet fitness to get your workout on. The only thing that I don't like is the people who come and hog the machines in the circuit area. It is rude and shows a lack of gym etiquette.
I would love if the area was monitored during busy times, so those who use the circuit area the right way can get our workout in without interpretation.

This is my main gym. Been coming here instead of Lancaster for months. The men’s restroom has gone downhill. It’s always nasty. The urinal never works. Also the hand sanitizer stations in the gym never work. You have a ton of employees that work this location so I’m curious what is going on. No sense in replying that I need to contact the manager since the owner should be reading these reviews and making necessary changes.

everytime the tanning beds are dirty when I go I clean my bed before I get in they clean them so quickly I've worked at 3 Tanning Salons in my life and they are not cleaning them correctly do they even get certified! Because at every tanning place I've worked at I had to. I think they haven't learned the proper way to clean beds or the room door handles are supposed to be wiped the chairs yet never see them do that they wipe the part you lay on that's it I've personally seen the workers clean them it's awful!

It advertises its self as a 24 hour gym despite the fact it’s not open 24 hours a single day out of the week . I’m sure it’s difficult finding people that want to work those late shifts , but we should have a discount on our membership fees, outside of that, it’s always very clean and the staff are great .

Machines are new and staff is pleasant. The only problem I have experianced is that the audio(earphones) will not sync with the television. Channel 10(CBS), has video, no sound. Channel 4(NBC), sound, no video. Channel 6(ABC) has video, but not always sound. I brought to staff attention, he made an excuse. Will check again tomorrow.

This is supposed to be a gym for beginners, they even have posters on the wall banning big dudes in tank tops, with big gallon water jugs who slam weights around. Yet, it’s always packed with exactly those types of people. They camp out on the equipment for literally hours and there is not enough variety to try and work around them. The app will say it’s not busy, but it will still be packed. The 30 minute area is never available to do for the same reasons, even though there is signs that it’s only for that specific routine. Guys will camp out on 1-2 machines in there and the staff does absolutely nothing about it. Horrible place to workout unless you just want to use a tread or elliptical

If I could give no stars I would. This location has been fraudulently charging my bank account literally for years. Somehow created a duplicate account and has been charging me double. I’ve gone into the location and was told it’s canceled and STILL was being charged. I spoke with a manager yesterday that assured me that she would cancel and would send me email confirmation and here we are today and I NEVER received the email. Called back again and a young lady just told me she would try to cancel and send an email at some
Point but she can’t do it at the moment because there a line and she’s busy. I can’t even believe the level of customer service. So extremely unprofessional and GHETTO! I would not recommend. Gym is normally clean and members are seen doing their part cleaning after themselves. Crew is always nice and talk with me while checking in. People work out and head out, never any issues I see while there.
HUGE negative points for not being 24 hour or even opening at 5 am like other branches. Was told it’s because of staffing, it’s 1 hour earlier, not going to buy that one. Really need to make that change because most other comments are for the same issue. I have had daughter with short hair and a small chest who has been harassed multiple times about “being in the wrong rooms”. I get it but damn, don’t have to make a loud scene about it at the entrance. So much for judgement free zone.

If you are going to be advertised as open then be open the hours you advertise. I went in for a 9 pm work out and at shortly after 9:30 they shut off the TV's and would not allow tanning. That is B.S and poor customer service it takes about 2 seconds to turn off the TV's do it at closing time and it you are not going to honor your hours for tanning then post it!

I'd love to know who owns this location. They need to re-evaluate a few extremely rude managers who cut you off, and get defensive before you can finish your sentence. Eye rolling and sighing when you first walk in and make a request, and the saying something back to you while smirking and then making a scene when you get irritated at how they're speaking to you. Not great management skills, no de-escalation, and didn't want to hear anything customers have to say about their experience with this location, just cuts you off, gets snarky and defensive, and was trying to calmly and nonchalantly take digs at you thinking she's being clever.
