This is the first ever planet fitness that had kicked me out because they had a problem with me wearing crocs. I'd be more understanding if there wasn't another patron sitting right next to me that was fully barefoot. Not gonna be a Karen today lol. This is the most welcoming gym community I’ve ever been with. I’ve lost 32lbs so far and have been going for a little over 3 months. It’s not only a great place for becoming the best version of yourself, but it’s also a great way to meet new people who are doing the same! As John Cena would say, never give up!

I know a lot of people will clown on Planet Fitness, but this gym has truly become a second home for me. The staff is incredibly friendly and personable, a lot of guests are regulars who love to give free tips and are incredibly welcoming, and the equipment since the remodel is honestly top notch. The facility is always clean, and people are quite respectful here. For $20-$25 a month, you can get a black card membership where you can go to any and all Planet Fitnesses in the United States… that’s a really good deal! I am an elite level gym user at this point, and the equipment is quite comparable to most “advanced” gyms around here, for a fraction of the cost. I’m moving to Texas and I’m going to miss all the little interactions I have with the members and staff most. I’ve made a lot of friends here from all different walks of life, with one shared goal in mind… to become better than we were yesterday.

Won’t let me cancel my membership. I have mailed them, went in person as that didn’t work, then called because they charged me again. He said it would cancel, and now 3 months later they charge me a random 52.19. They have told me there is no cancellation fee or period, so I don’t understand how they can just keep charging me. I haven’t steeped foot in their door in almost a year except to cancel with a girl at the front desk.

The "trainers" arnt very good. They do NOT walk around and make sure that everyone's using the machines safely and accurately.i asked the guy at the desk if he was able to help me and he told me to wait for the trainer to get there at 12pm....The trainer that came in at 12pm had what looks like a beer belly... I wouldn't take any advise he gives me ... all they do is stand at the desk and bs the entire time ... was there dismorning and watched a young female very skinny using the ab machine completely wrong and with way too much weight . That was my observation. The trainers are there to help people. When I asked for help there really wasn't much help that they gave. Anyone can tell someone else how many reps to do that doesn't make u a trainer .. they should be showing someone who is new how to use a machine and how to position that machine properly to their body. Someone is going to get seriously hurt. Im kinda really upset im paying for the black card and not able to have anyone's help.. I dont wanna bother people and their workouts in order to start.

This Planet Fitness allows people to act as rude as possible while hogging the dip machine. It’s ridiculous to see someone with their freeweights around it for 40 minutes straight, acting rude to those that come and politely ask if it is available soon, and then they use it without wiping it down after. The employees don’t care, the location doesn’t care, and it’s obnoxious to have to pay for a membership and see all this investment into freeweights when half of them are ever even used anyways.

If it was even being used that entire time, I wouldn’t have a problem, but no, you have these same people that decide to keep their stuff at the dip machine while they switch over to the mirror to do their reps with MORE freeweights there too! To everyone reading this that believe a public gym is your personal gym, I genuinely hope you wake up one day manifesting an inner voice that can finally tell you how stupid you are and at least wipe the machine down if you’re going to hog it like some greedy pig.

I'm not an everyday gym goer as I weight train at home, so I can't speak to that, but, I do come here for a change in scenery for my weekend runs (mornings) - it does the job. There's never a wait for a treadmill or Stairmaster, which I appreciate, but I do see people waiting for machines occasionally. The bathrooms aren't the cleanest, so I do try to avoid them. Most of my complaints are with other gym goers, so I suggest wiping your machine down before and after your use. Staff seem friendly and I see them cleaning machines and sweeping the gym floor every time I'm here. I'm not bothered by anyone and can usually get in and out in under 90 minutes without issues. The membership is helpful for when I go out of town and can still get a workout in wherever I am.

This gym is not for professionals or for someone who is really going to train, the environment is quite tense to train, any minimal situation like you are training you are at fault and release a weight and or you make some sound by mistake with a machine or weight and they catch your attention immediately. Reception people are more aware of those who break the rules than to give a good service, such as providing good advice before entering the gym, advising someone when they are doing a bad exercise.

Apparently you can’t use a jump rope at this location but they let people drop weights without consequence. The staff here are busy bodies with nothing better to do than be to be judgmental and snarky. Also how do you employ a “trainer” that’s in worst shape than the patrons? I don’t understand that.

It’s so crowded and the meter on the app says 3/10, I think the fire marshal would be here if it ever hit 5/10. Lasers pointed in my eyes whenever I walk in, there’s not enough weight lifting machines and after visiting PFs in Wooster and Akron it feels like ours is just forgotten. It’s like people just dropped in machinery wherever they wanted, like they turned an airplane hangar into a gym. The atmosphere is pretty bad and I’d prefer if they were open longer on weekends, especially because some people can’t get a workout in until late that night. The locker rooms and staff is super nice though and it’s clean. Water dispenser is broken tho 💀

The Whipple Avenue location in Belden Village was very helpful in helping me get my membership reactivated. The app is so helpful to scan in quickly and even give an estimation on peak volume times so members with varying schedules can plan their workouts better. This is a great location with the premium membership of a whopping 27 a month for all the services. If your diet slips you'll spend 27 bucks in a week at fast food places.

6I like the variety of equipment, which is more than adequate at my location. I like that, with the black card, I can use any location and have been to 4 or 5 locations in 3 city areas. I also like the amenities, particularly the massage chair and how full-body it is. The hydro bed is also wonderful on my lower back, where I have Degenerative Disk Disease and sciatic area damage. Also, the gym is always clean and the staff is friendly and helpful, always saying "hello" and "have a good day" on my way in and out.

For the last four years this place has had air conditioning issues every summer. This year however it’s especially bad. Like total massive irresponsible suck. It’s been a month and a half in record setting summer heat and STILL, we have to endure a very hot and very stuffy gym, and then work out in it. I’m pretty sure some competent outfit could have fixed this by now. What are these guys doing? Mining ore to smelt into metal to make a part to fix the persistently breaking AC?
