Out of the four locations i've been to this is by far one of the better locations it's actually open 24/7! Great Acoustics in the bathroom for singing and is a great place to read a book. Staff is welcoming.

This location is isolated around the entire west side of Cincinnati, meaning it’s very busy. Normally a busy gym isn’t an issue, but this gym’s layout does not accommodate the crowd well, and that is where I think this location is at fault. There are only 6 Smith machines, which is way too little for the crowd this gym gets, especially from 5PM - 10PM after work. People also use these things for hours at a time, which I understand isn’t Planet Fitness’s fault, but only having a very limited amount of Smith machines will cause this to happen.

Also, the free weights area is a joke. Smallest of any planet fitness I’ve been to. Not enough weights and not enough benches for the crowd at pretty much any time throughout the day.

These issues can be fixed with removing the surplus of cardio machines which go mostly unused, especially upstairs. Remove the treadmills from upstairs and create another area for free weights/Smith machines, problem solved.

Would be a 1 star review but the 2nd star is for the friendly staff and the clean facility.

I went later in the night but there wasn’t one paper towel dispenser that had paper towels. I worked out in almost all the sections and none had towels to wipe down the machine which is ridiculous considering it’s 11pm and they aren’t busy so the staff would have time to fill them. I know it’s a gym but I have been to many other locations and they never smell. This location smelled so bad that I felt like I could still smell it on my drive home. It did look clean and the machines were well kept but the smell and lack of paper towels was enough for me to stay clear of this location. I felt gross not being able to wipe a machine down after someone else.

Nice location. It is larger than most planet fitness' I have been to. The main problem is if you go during popular times you may not find parking as the parking lot is very small.

People also tend to avoid wiping down their machines but that is a common issue in general with low cost gyms.

The gym has been closed for a few weeks and has charged me several times. What I’ve been told by staff for the yearly fees are on November 17th of every year and I’ll be charged the yearly fee September 1st and I haven’t been to the gym for two weeks because they’re closed.

I’m a new mom so decided to get back to the gym to feel better about myself!
I got charged the annual fee after paying for it, so I called and explained and I just wanted my refund of 52 dollars (I don’t have an extra 52 dollars) they are making me go through all these loops just to get a refund and my account is in the negative now! What a mess, you can clearly see it shows it was paid twice! Beyond upset and disappointed

The past few times I tried to get a massage chair the employees completely ignored me standing there waiting. One actually looked at me while I was in front of the computer then turned away to greet another customer, the other was staring off like a goldfish and the third employee there was sitting down, but also saw me waiting there. This planet fitness really needs to start training their employees. Also the machines are filthy, just hop on a treadmill and look at how much grime is built up in the crevices. It’s disgusting! If the employees have time to stand around and stare then they can pick up a toothbrush and deep clean the equipment. Not to mention most of the women who go here take up space at machines to stare at themselves in the mirror or look around to see if they are getting attention while wearing close to nothing… so gross and trashy!

Everyone has laying around in their pockets. I remember when I couldn't stand or walk without a walker.

So to have a clean place to actually build apon and improve your life is awesome.
That's what this place has provided for me and my wife.

One day you can't get the bike pedals to go around one time and then your doing 5 minutes.
I started out not able to lift 25 pounds with both legs. Now 125 pounds times two sets.
On two machines.
So it's still a house of pain , but the rewards are worth every scream and grunt.

I just visited on a Sunday afternoon with my teenage son. There were three people working the desk. One appeared to be a manager, no one spoke. The one who appeared to be a manager was assisting someone. However, I spoke…the other two associates said NOTHING. One of the associates was fixing her hair. This is very unprofessional and very unwelcoming to come into a gym and not be greeted. Coming to the gym is a battle in itself. I have had my membership for years. This was a location that I visited quite often over the years. But the customer service is AWFUL. Do better Planet Fitness.

Almost cancelled my membership about three times now, so this is it for me, I'm done with this place. So overcrowded you can't have any kind of routine. I even try to go at slow times, the traffic meter in the app is A complete LIE. I'm on a time crunch, so I can't wait around all day for an over packed gym, people lounging, chatting, or taking selfies. Any useful machines you have to wait for, and wait for... If you're lucky enough to not have someone jump at a machine on your way to it.
I asked an attendant if you would ever install another stretch rack, and she said probably not. Planet fitness' whole business is to get your membership money, everything else is an afterthought.
Plus, I'm reading your bad reviews, and the responses are the most lazy, no responsibility excuses I've ever read, Just more proof that your black card fees are the only importance here.

Edit regarding lack of cell phone enforcement mentioned below: NOTHING is being done and the situation has gotten out of control. Everyone is complaining about this! There have been a few minor spats between members wanting to use a machine and the rude, inconsiderate members that can't seen to go one microsecond without chattering away or texting.

Again, there are reminders for cleaning the machines, footwear, etc., there is a dire need to inform members not to monopolize the equipment and to use their phones elsewhere!!!

I've been here for a year now and absolutely love it! The staff is friendly and professional. Facility is extremely clean, staff is constantly scouring the machines and workout areas. Equipment is in good working condition and repairs are done quickly. Restrooms and shower areas are also pristine.

I do have to take one star away for an issue here that can be easily corrected: Members who are texting or blabbing on their cell phones while sitting on the equipment. It's gotten much worse with the free summer teen memberships. I'm there early and it's bad, I can only imagine what it's like during peak times.

There certainly has to be some way to educate, and if necessary, remind members to follow the rules, show some courtesy and not monopolize the machines while they go on a texting marathon. There's a "lunk alert" for dropping weights, perhaps staff members could also keep an eye out to remind offenders.

That being said, I still recommend this location and will gladly give a 5 star rating if this issue can be remedied.

Great place to work out at your own pace. But sadly, there is no restriction on how the women dress in sports bra and panties. They nolonger wear workout clothing. But the men do have a clothing restriction. My husband removes his glasses before we enter because he says they show to much body. Women have no modesty at all at Planet fitness 😥

This gym is very user friendly. The staffs attentiveness is most surprising. They are very helpful with any questions and have no problem showing you machines or giving a tour. The gym is clean and has absolutely no smell. The price is affordable with good amenities compared to other places. However I wish they would offer a package that did not include tanning. My husband would love the massage but would never go tanning. The building is easy to spot in traffic but can be hard to get in or out. The parking lot looks small but seems to have available spots even when busy. Another I would add besides a pool would be some free weights. Can't we use them without sounding a lunk alarm!

I have noticed specifically in the last 4 to 6 months that the quality of the facility has degraded tremendously. Nothing is ever clean except the parking lot. Equipment is more often broken than functional and even after notifying the staff politely about certain machines in disrepair the equipment never gets fixed or even a simple sign that it's inoperable; which is entirely unsafe, especially at a gym targeting all experience levels. The amount of times I will get on a machine only to realize that it's broken in some way is astounding. AND now it's not even open 24/7 which is the MAIN reason I have a membership at Planet Fitness in the first place. I can overlook a somewhat dirty gym for the sake of convenience so I can have 24 hour access and an excess of functional equipment but coming to the gym has now become the most frustrating part of my day. This is not a problem at other planet fitness locations I've been to in the area and across the country when I travel so I have no idea why this specific location is in such a state. I will happily drive an extra 20 minutes to go to any other location in the area before returning to this one.

The gym is great , the tanning beds seem like they never get cleaned. It's disappointing to see that it doesn't get swept and dusted regularly. The beds are usually clean, but sometimes there's residue where the cleaner missed a spot. I use the beds to get ready for Florida and wish they were cleaner. I just bring my own wipes

The gym itself is nice. However, it's way too crowded during the weekdays (Monday through Thursday) when most people go to the gym after work (4pm to 10pm). A typical hour lift will take you two hours due to waiting for machines. Parking lot is generally completely full during these times as well and parking in the adjacent lot by Panda Express is needed.
