This one is pretty good. It’s always clean and they have a wider variety of machines and free weight equipment than most of the other PF’s. Only downside is it does get busy in the evening starting around 4. Some of the more popular machines like smith press, leg extensions, cables and dumbbell area get pretty crowded and you’ll have to wait. Other than that it’s a pretty solid gym and the staff is always friendly.

Let me tell you — PF Oakley hits different. The moment you walk in, the space feels bright, fresh, and alive. Everything from the lighting to the layout gives that “let’s get it done” energy. The equipment? All in great shape — smooth, ready, and clearly cared for. You can tell this location takes pride in keeping things sharp, clean, and organized.

I’m visiting from NY and staying on the other side of town right now, so my go-to gym (PF Finneytown) — where I stay with family — is a bit of a drive. I figured I’d give Oakley a try since it’s just a few minutes away… and I’m so glad I did.

I actually stopped by on a Saturday night around 9:45 p.m. just to get a lay of the land before my first full workout the next morning. The young woman at the front desk didn’t just wave hello — she offered to give me a tour. She had such a positive spirit, high energy, and genuine kindness. She walked me through the whole place, upstairs and down, and made me feel completely welcomed before I even picked up a weight. That kind of energy leaves a lasting impression.

And honestly, that’s what makes PF Oakley stand out — the vibe. A few team members really go above and beyond to make people feel seen and supported. There’s a great foundation here — the energy of the space itself, the layout, the music, the atmosphere — it all just works. You come in ready to lift and leave lifted.

Finneytown will always be my OG home base — that’s where my fitness journey started, and it’s got that raw, family-style gym soul I crave every time I’m back in Cincinnati (and even when I’m in NY). But Oakley? Oakley is another chapter — vibrant, modern, and full of the kind of energy that makes you want to push a little harder, hold a rep a little longer, and walk out saying, “Yeah… I did that.”

WORST PF I’ve ever visited. They condone stealing, I had a Lululemon fanny pack stored in a locker. Not even 30min after my workout I go to my locker and it was gone. I brought it to the attention of “management” (man in glasses) he was rude and dismissive. Did not offer to view cameras or even investigate. All other team members never speak or greet any of the items if frequented before the theft incident. Wouldn’t recommend, go anywhere else.

The lights was off on 09/23 even though there was staff outside they watch me out on gym shoes get water and clearly I’m in work out clothes. They didn’t say anything about being clothes until I got up on the door. On 9/24 I called to make sure they was open at 0600 was open…. No Anwser’s when I arrived to the gym… I was looking for a trash can I had empty water bottles… they said I could use the trash can once I scanned in…. My hands was full like? Is it that serious. First time here in almost a year (but I swear I was still working out! 😁). They have all new cardio equipment, and I mean EVERYTHING! Treadmills, bikes, ellipticals and more have all been replaced. They have new weight machines, including a hip thrust and a few more I haven't been able to figure out how to use. I'm not in love with the arrangement but I'll get used to it.

Why is there only 1 treadmill here that you’re easily able to do interval running on? (Easy jump to inclines and speeds). Trying to jump from an all out pace to a walk using those damn arrows is dangerous when I’m trying to run at 9+ mph. I don’t want to walk!! With how busy this place always is, I would think you’d have more of a tread selection. Please get more. :(

*Updated* Now that planet fitness has updated all their machines workouts have been amazing!! All treads are easily adjustable for incline and speed! The only sad part is people don’t respect the equipment as you’d hope. It’s only been a few months and one of the new rowing machines is already broken 🫠 Alas, the new machines, increase in weights, dumbbells, and available options are fantastic and I’m loving the cryo massage chair. 4 stars is for how busy and loud this place can get, as well as some staff aren’t always the most approachable but it’s getting better 😊

Edit: My original review was written in winter. It hasn't been as busy when I have gone in the summer. They have also updated a lot of their machines so treadmills are easier to use and they have more options like barbells. Giving it 4 instead of 3.

I don't have any genuine issues with this location except that it's too busy. I have yet to be at a location consistently this busy. It's at the point I don't even want to go because it's so crowded and hard to find space and machines and weights. I know it's the cheap option, I just really hope they build another location nearby soon to lessen the crowd. It's not dirty but it's not as clean as other locations.

I just started working out in order to lose some weight. I try to average coming around 2-3 times a week and I love this location. Somebody is always going around and cleaning and making sure it looks nice. I've never had any issues with the staff or even the other people working out. I was a bit hesitant at first because I am a bigger person and was scared that I would be judged. I feel comfortable and confident coming to this location and will continue to do so in the future.

I come to this PF about every single day. At 5am. Everyday I come in, someone is cleaning. All staff members are friendly and accommodating. Very clean. I feel like it truly is a judgment free zone. Great job by the staff. It is the only PF that I like to go to. Thank you!

Update: I still feel the same way about first shift. Today is the 1st time I visited at 8pm on a Monday evening. I use the massage chairs and the other spa club equipment. SADLY the staff don't clean in between clients. I seen a lady with an extremely bad rash use the equipment then the next person got on the chair. I had to clean my own chair. The staff is just standing around chatting. When I asked if they cleaned in between people they just looked at me like I interrupted them. It took them almost 8 minutes to even acknowledge me standing there.... I must say 1st shift is NOT like this but I'd be wrong not to update this information.... Again I guess I'll speak to manager next time I'm here. Jason is awesome and I know he will address this....

the gym was large, lots of variety for the machines, but the reason i am giving a one star is because they allow a woman to bring a backpack with THREE dogs crammed in it into the gym. today was my first time ever visiting this location, and as i was wrapping up my workout i noticed a woman with a backpack that had a dog in it. i respectfully went to the desk and voiced my concerns that the dog looked uncomfortable and as though it was panting. they informed me that it was not one dog, but THREE, and that she has emotional support animal paperwork so there is nothing they can do, despite the fact that they regularly receive complaints about this woman. ESAs do not have “paperwork” (they get letters from actual doctors), and even if they did, ESAs are for housing and airplane travel, NOT a license to take animals into stores, restaurants, gyms, etc. i work in a hotel and we don’t even accept ESA letters. the fact that they allow this woman to mistreat her animals by having them crammed into a small backpack while she does a workout is insanity, let alone the risk to other patrons if said dogs were to get out of the backpack. please train your staff on the regulations and laws regarding SERVICE animals for physical disabilities vs emotional support animals. you will not get sued for standing your ground that a gym is no place for an emotional support animal. i will absolutely be calling corporate about this when they open on monday, please do what is RIGHT and make her keep the dogs at home

you guys are the worst , within 3 months subscriptions i got charged 150 dollars for that and ur staff couldn't give me any clarification about that. i went to the front office multiple times and they don't know what's going on. one says it's the late fees, the other said it's normal, on the phone they says i can't get informations about that. i downgraded my subscription to the basic card to reduce the damage because i liked the place in there but no collaboration from ur side. then i did unsubscribed two months ago. and till now I'm getting charged monthly fees. i want refund for that

Sick of this place advertising as a 24/7 gym when it’s just simply not (see attached photo). The better hours are the only advantage they had, but they got rid of it so now it’s just worse equipment with the same hours for the same price. Amazing and large facility with so many options and never packed. I go between 3 to 4 pm on weekdays, and 99% of the time dont have to wait for a machine. Staff are always walking around cleaning and maintaining areas, and the change rooms are very large and clean! Especially when the weather is getting really hot, it’s great to workout indoors in a cool facility to add. Staff are also very friendly and willing to help with questions about machines, especially for someone who is new to them. 100% recommend!

Two front desk girls -Snobby, Rude, Disrespectful, No customer service skills, upon entering gave my daughter and I very dirty mean looks before even saying anything . Nasty attitudes. That won’t stop me coming back to workout there in the near future because I like that gym it’s always clean never had an issue . Been going to this gym for 3 years. I'm generally impressed with the quality for the money. Lots of machines, most of the time I can get in the work I need to do without having to wait around. The facility is pretty clean, and the staff is visibly out cleaning most mornings. Most days, they greet you at the door and say goodbye as you leave. I miss the energy of the team a couple years back. Seems like some turnover happened, and some of the friendly faces have moved on, and the vibe isn't quit as upbeat. Maybe it will improve again with time?

Great place to work out. The staff is friendly and helpful, a lot of variety of exercise equipment in a positive, spacious environment; clean and not too crowded. The Black Card area is super helpful for chronic pain, and the total body enhancement machine seems the most helpful for pain. I take my 13 year old grandson a couple times a week as a guest and think this is a tremendous value for the low price. Just love it really!

This is one of the cleanest gyms I’ve been apart of,…and it’s large, two levels! I give Miss Kristie 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because she’s always pleasant when I speak to her, she almost never stops moving, so if you need anything during night shift she’s close by, she’s constantly vacuuming, filling the spray bottles, helping customers, refilling the towel rolls, mopping, lowering the benches, raising the bars, pulling the trash, restock the beverages, she even mops the men’s bathroom! Just Wow! This gym doesn’t have a indoor track, no pool, no basketball court and it’s only 24 hours Monday-Thursday (except major holidays) and Friday-Saturday-Sunday 7am-9pm but it does have a large variety of assistive machines, treadmills, and exercise bikes, and exceptional hard workers like Miss Kristie!
