My first experience at Planet Fitness Finneytown was out of this world!
From the very beginning, John gave me my orientation walk-around, and it set the tone for the whole place—relaxed, non-intimidating, and welcoming. As he showed me around, members kept coming up to laugh and joke with him, which not only showed me the great atmosphere but also let me meet a few people along the way. It felt like a family. John was thorough, patient, and smiling the whole time—I never once felt rushed.
The gym itself? Super clean. And I mean super clean. The staff were quietly vacuuming and wiping down small spots the entire time, moving around members without disrupting anyone. It was almost stealth mode—you wouldn’t notice unless you looked, but you could tell their mission was to keep the gym spotless so we could focus on our workouts.
At the desk, I met a guy named Logan and woman named Joey, who were both incredibly friendly and helpful. They made it easy to figure out how to use the massage chair and HydroMassage bed—and wow, those spa amenities are absolutely worth it. After my workout, that recovery experience sealed the deal.
I’ve been in many gyms, but this one stands out. Between the atmosphere, the people, the cleanliness, and the recovery perks, I can honestly say: this is the best gym I’ve been to. Planet Fitness Finneytown has set the bar high, and I’m sold on this place!

Ive had a great experience at this planet fitness location, only a few hiccups. I normally go early in the morning and have a great experience with the morning staff. The trainer is great, everyone is super friendly, ALWAYS cleaning machines and the floors making sure things are clean. Overall a great experience in the mornings. On the off chance I go at night i have a much different experience. The employees are always distracted, on their phones, playing games, hitting eachother… just things you wouldnt want to see. They are rude dont say hello or goodbye. Evening shift needs lots of work.

On Sunday 1/12/24 the employee turned the lights out a half hour before they close at 7pm and lied and said the power went out and kicked everyone out the gym the workers were laughing about it. I don’t recommend going to this location very unprofessional.

Club received new equipment several months ago. One of the new cycling machines hasn't worked since it was acquired. Why even have the equipment, if you're not going to have it operable. 'Temperarly out of service' is quite a misnomer. Last time I used massage chair #1, the pulsating feature did not work, haven't used since. I'm not holding my breath on it functioning properly. Yes, I've informed employees. Love using the facility; just wish equipment would be repaired.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Two consecutive Mondays and NO ONE showed up to open at 5AM. PLUS, of the 6 stair steppers, only one of the TV works. I have brought this to the attention of staff numerous times, but they always give excuses. Also, how can you say you are open 24/5 when you don't open until 5AM on Monday. UGH.

Do you like starting your workout on time? Then skip this PF. Currently 615 with a 6 am open.
No one, not a soul here. Parking lot is full of customers. When the workers show up they’re pretty chill. It’s always a gamble when coming to Finnytown. Maybe you’ll get it in, maybe not.

Busy today. Love the Hydromassage beds. Did a full workout. Had to dodge around a few people, but there weren't any complete machine hogs like on Wednesday. Did the tanning too (Black Card Membership $20 a month). Has what I need for small bucks.

This review is for the Winton road location. My home gym is undergoing renovations so I came here for the first time. I found it to be very dark inside. My location has huge windows and the overhead fans are above the treadmills which is a huge relief when running. Maybe this location's storefront is harder to design around? I don't know I just wish the lighting was better.

It's a great gym for beginners but for more experienced or people looking to take the next step need to go to a real gym like epsorta or world gym or paramount fitness. Pf seems more for people on there phones and wanting to talk with no research done on how to work out and only have 75lb dumbbells. You can't grunt or drop weights or even have a gallon of water. Your not supposed to deadlift or use weights the right way so it depends on what level you are

I've been working out primarily at this location since it opened and still prefer it over the other PF's in the area. Staff has been great, club is always clean, and most of the members are serious about exercising. My only complaint is there is now only one decline/situp bench and it is often in use. There were three previously and all the other clubs in the area have three. Management promised me several times that another would be added, but we are all still waiting.

The fact that it’s no longer 24/7 is a major drawback for me bc I work second shift and like to go after work which automatically negates Friday and sat bc I’m not off until 9. I also don’t have a lot of free time on my off days to go nor do I like going on off days which basically only leaves me 3 days a week that I can go. Not being open 24/7 wouldn’t be as big of a deal If they were open till like 10 pm on Friday and Saturday. Another thing that’s extremely annoying was a couple Friday’s ago I was told at about 5 till 9, not 9:00 that they were closed and it was time to go. I work in customer service and we ARE NOT allowed to kick anyone out until we close which is 10, not 9:55.

Just joined this gym after years at Fitworks that sold the franchise in West Chester. Very excited to be here because it's much closer to home. Got the PF Black Card that gives me every amenity available. The staff especially the young lady who signed me was awesome. Great atmosphere, and a super clean facility. Looking forward to keeping my fitness going at my new digs PF Finneytown.

The staff was very friendly! I was greeted upon entry and exit. Super clean facilities!! I stopped by to use the showers while my home bathroom is being updated and the only thing I would have changed was the shower layout (you walk from the stall to the shower in an open area and there isn't a towel hook to keep your towel within reach and dry).
Overall, I'll be going again and highly recommend!

I little bother that this establishment did not bother to inform it's member that it resume taking out monthly two months after closing their doors due to the pandemic. No emails. I discover they were charging when I look at my bank statement in July of this year. When I inquire when they started to charge, they gave a vague answer but looking around the answer was simple, the fitness center had more staff behind the desk than members in the fitness center. This is a corporation that is only concern for the bottomline. If you think you are a former member, check your bank statement, they debit a year of member fees knowing that have not step foot in the fitness center in 15 months. Join somewhere else and contact the state's AG.
