My experience at planet fitness was great loving equipment. I like that they have new equipment in this facility that I have went to. I can upgrade a little more to the equipment. Little more free weights. Maybe some benches that's free. Weights not the Smith machines but other than that overall I give the planet fitness that I just left 100%. It was great except for a few things they can change but other than that no problems. No issue. Friendly staff. Very clean

We as members can't slam the weights or grunt when lifting right? But this location has the music so damn loud nobody would be able to hear anyone grunting or slamming weights. Really tired of the inconvenience of these websites. I just paid for the black card and of course, after money is taken from my account, suddenly I can’t log into my account, a confirmation email isn’t being sent to me even after the app says it is, and I have to come into the gym to fix this issue, since they’re incapable of helping over the phone. 01/02/2025 - One of my New Year’s resolution was to return to one of my passions of working out. I’m glad I joined this Planet Fitness because of the morning crew and staff. I have even ran into people that I have not seen in years from other gyms. The staff take pride in this gym from wiping equipment to restocking weights. Thank you. There is this aggressive new employee (

I absolutely love going to this location when I’m in the area for work. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Destiny goes above and beyond to assist guests when they come in and is always attentive. What I like about my Planet Fitness experience is that it’s a no-pressure environment where I can focus on my workouts without feeling judged. The gym is always clean, and I never have to wait too long for equipment. Plus, the convenience of having multiple locations makes it easy to fit workouts into my schedule. Idk who manages this place but the professionalism is horrible. Every clock in there is wrong. I've complained about that for more than 6 months. The floors and mirrors always look horrible. Dust bunnies and hair balls in every corner of the tanning bed rooms and dust so thick on the paper towel dispensers in the tanning rooms you can write your name in it... we won't even get started on the "up grade" machines all over the place but the flow is horrible. When I go in in the morning there are matts and weights laying around and very often a walkie talkie on the desk to use if you need an employee because they are somewhere in the back.... but definitely not out in the gym keeping things cleaned up. It's sad because this gym has the capability of being really nice. It's just ran really poorly.

Okay I’m back due to promotion on tv as to upgrades and more free weights, this location is somewhat still in transition, but it has 6 smith machines which is a plus but they are positioned appropriately. 4 in front of mirrors and offset and with 3 ft of mirror (safety concerns) the other 2 are a few feet behind and accessible. But there truly as usual machine placement issue as to use and clearance. Will stick it out for 30 days to see if adjustments are made. Also the stand for the attachments are gone they did have those before now they are all over floor (safety concerns) as someone could trip. I want this as my local regular gym again as I travel a lot between Whitehall and Ft. Lauderdale and it’s convenient

While yes I understand that a lot of people of fond of this location, I've come to believe that many of those high reviews - not all, but many of them, are from people who had that one visit where everything went right, and that in turn made them ecstatic about this location.

This location reminded me of why I came to loathe Planet Fitness, as a whole. Asking to speak to someone, only to be immediately shut down, and told I have to wait until the next day to speak to someone, that is very clearly there, and can make time to talk, is insulting. Being on the receiving end of staff members conducting themselves as if they don't want to be there, or are "above" others, is hypocritical of planet Fitness' "Judgement free zone" mentality.

There's so much more than can be said; state of the locker room, the bathroom, unclean tanning and hydro beds, among other things, but that would be beating a dead horse.

The ONLY reason why this is not a 1 star review, is because this location has a Fitness trainer. However, that is ruined by the fact that trying to speak with him is difficult, not because of his schedule, but rather because the staff don't even try to communicate to the trainer(I know this very well). It amazes that the owners of this organization care so much about money, that they'll turn a blind eye and ignore the very sad state of their locations(and I've been to other locations as well).

Thank you Planet Fitness, for making it financially more difficult to work out, as I will be looking for other places to go, and bite the financial bullet. Thank you for continuing to be a let down.

If fate has found you at this PF, i am SO sorry :( however, since you’re here you might as well make the most of it and i’d like to offer some advice to make it a slightly less awful experience :) first off, do your best to limit your liquid/protein intake while you’re here - why? Well you’re lucky if there’s ONE functioning toilet/urinal in the bathroom. Seriously, at one point NEITHER of the toilets in the men’s room were working and good luck if you’re disabled/handicapped bc that stall has been out of order for about a year. And for at least 6 months last year there was only one functioning urinal, yes BOTH the stalls were out of order - i’m pretty sure that’s illegal??? (Women’s restroom might be better, can’t say for sure)
Lucky for you though, limiting your intake of water won’t be difficult bc 9 times out of 10 the water fountain water bottle filter is out of order, and about 5 times out of 10 all of the water fountains are out of order :) , you MIGHT get really lucky though and they MIGHT have water bottles behind the desk but last time i went they were even out of that 😂😂😂.

Billing scam. I canceled my membership and because location staff who are barely available did not handle the matter correctly I was charged the annual fee after being a member less than 2 months. When I noticed a charge on my account and went back to confirm the cancelation I was told the form that should have been furnished was never completed. I have contacted representation to file a formal lawsuit. The location was filthy, you could smell urine outside the mens locker room. When a woman was rated inside the gym during operational hours it was the last straw for me. Not only could you not get any assistance from staff, but I can not have my fiancé work out there without me for fear of being rated. Horrible company and even more horrible location. Stay far away from this company.

I'm paying for the black membership so they're saying bad words to me and they don't provide the service, why which one pays? This location keeps changing the times that they are open. I work 2nd shift and would work out after. Then, all the sudden weeks ago, back to closing at 10 pm and forcing me to go to Gahanna. I've Had my membership since they first opened in Whitehall! They were better back than but now they are terrible. If I have to drive further I might as well cancel my membership! I have been coming to the Whitehall planet fitness since it opened in Whitehall, and was very happy that they were partially open 24 hours so I could come in early before work to get my workout in. For the last few years management has been playing around with the hours and it is now no longer partially 24 hours they open up at 5am now which sucks i have to rush to get my workout complete and now have to compete with other's using the machines i don't want to cancel my membership here because its literally 2 minutes from my house but im just a little tired of the games management is playing and they really need to get it together.

My only complaint is nobody is EVER at the front desk in the mornings. When you workout before work you are kind of in a rush and not even a rush, but not into the game of wasting time. This is the worst Planet fitness I have ever gone to. All the bathrooms in the men’s locker room have been out of order for 6 months. They told me they can’t afford to fix the. Their employees are constantly sitting in the locker room watching movies. The female employees are the only ones I ever see cleaning/working. This is a review for the owners and management in charge of this location. Both urinals and 1 toilet needs to be repaired in the bathroom.. The smell has becoming overwhelming and it is now a sanitary health issue. The professional sight staff have put in work orders that have not been processed for weeks.
