I hesitate giving this gym a 5 stars because I don’t want it to become Grove City II but whoever put this planet fitness together and the staff that works here really deserve it. As long as they keep it clean, machines working and innovative (bringing new machines) and the staff is friendly I’ll be taking the 15min extra drive.

Let me start by saying I have been to every planet fitness is Columbus and other parts! This one is by my favorite one Brittany the assistant manager is the best she is always friendly respectful and prefessional every time I come here. I’m here 6 days a week she is either vacuuming, emptying trash cleaning the bathrooms and so are the other employees here. It stays clean she even wipes down all the treadmills she’s on her hands and knees! Saniya and Imya is by the far the nicest employees I’ve ever met. This one is better than canal and grove city! I have recommended this one to everyone I know! This is home to me! I come because of staff!

I actually like this planet even though it’s on the small side. They have 3 barbell squat racks and it’s in a room away from other areas and equipment. Most of the staff are nice and they tend to go around the gym to clean a bit and stock up on the paper towels and cleaning solution. 2 things I don’t like is that there is only 1 hip abductor machine. The other is that sometimes the women’s locker room seems a bit musty and it has that sweaty smell every time.

Showers are back to the same problems... only the first one of 4 gets hot water, the other showers are all cold. I just don't get it. Why is having hot water in the showers such a hard thing to accomplish?

Showers have hot water finally, but only 2 are working. Seems like the doors keep falling off and no one knows how to put them back on.

The handicap shower hasn't been fixed in many months, probably close to a year now! Another shower is also broken with the door off now. I wonder if they will even bother to attempt to fix it.

The water here (if even on) is almost always cold or luke warm at best. I am not sure what exactly the problem is with this place and having working hot showers, but it is almost impossible to shower here.

For the last six months or so, this place has continually gone downhill. The handicap shower hasn't had a hose in many months, just a 'temporary closed' sign that sits in front of it. It is a simple purchase and quick no talent install. It is just lazy and cheap of management.

The cleaning could definitely be picked up a notch as it has also taken a step back from where it was a few months ago. Not sure if there is a new manager about 6-8 months ago that isn't as good as the previous one, but not a good direction to be going.

OVERJOYED to have found out that the atrocity of a woman, I believe her name was Nalea.. is no longer employed at planet fitness.. I could never get a clear name from her. She was the epitome of RUDE. Spoke down and was very condescending when asked about anything ..her STANK attitude was disgusting. Hopefully she gets a job NOT DEALING WITH THE PUBLIC. I always tried to go in as early as possible so I didn't have to deal with her. 😈

I love this gym actually.. But this girl I think she is a girl I'm not sure tho but she got dreads an comes in about 2 p.m. or after I'm not sure . But she is so rude always looking at me with and attitude, an when you ask her something she's so mean an nasty.. idk why they would even have her working there, cause I feel a gym should be good vibes only 💪🏽. Over all really nice place, could use a little help on layout. Have equipment together that works certain muscle groups. Cleanliness over all is ok could use 30 min. rotations on checks. Friendly staff greeting and say good bye. I travel and use planet fitness because they're all over and scale from 1-10 a good 7.

Really nice place with plenty of space. I’m a truck driver, so I’m glad they allow truck parking, it makes it easy for me to stop by almost every day for a workout. One of the employees name Kristy, is always working hard. Every time I see her, she’s either cleaning the equipment or making sure everything’s stocked. She really keeps the place looking great.

Just lost out on over $50 because yearly fees are charged 25 days after the membership starts? I wanted to try

The location is convenient and the staff is AMAZING; however, there are definitely some issues. The tvs never work and the women's locker/bathroom is always gross. Some of the black card lounge items could do with an upgrade. Example: massage chair 1 has buttons missing and constantly sounds like it is about to die. It's a decent location but with a few fixes could be a great location. As is, the best thing about the gym is the staff.

This has been my home gym for 11 years and I’ve loved it, but I’ll be changing my home gym to the west broad or stringtown locations due to recent equipment changes among other concerns. This is not convenient for me and adds 20 minutes drive time round trip. For some reason this location decided to eliminate all but 2 stationary bikes which is the cardio route I have to go these days due to a back issue. There were previously 7 bikes but they only kept 2 and 1 of them doesn’t work. They have road bike style stationary bikes with a rock hard seat and big TV screen that lets you ride virtual “courses”. Tried it and it’s a no-go. I ride road bikes and have for years, but these are very uncomfortable and don’t put you in natural body position to ride… i’ve almost never seen anyone using them, yet for some reason with this equipment change management decided to add a couple more of those while taking away the majority of the bikes that everyone actually uses. (even though they were the inferior Matrix bikes and all other PF locations now carry the lifestyle fitness bikes which are far superior) The staff here has always been friendly and the place is kept clean, but the TVs never work, leaky ceilings and inferior equipment options are forcing me to leave. I hope this location can get it together and if they do, I will be back because it is certainly the most convenient for me.

I’m a truck driver so parking is the first concern and this place has a couple signs but I was told planet fitness won’t call for the tow but don’t sell in front of the storage place. Mostly just machines, so if you are used to free weights or barbells, it can be an adjustment. The big advantage is being able to travel and still go to the gym.

They try to promote a safe, beginner friendly, judgment free culture. But I think that in creating this space, they accidentally are sometimes judgmental toward typical gym folk/culture. Not something I have personally experienced, but the "don't be a lunk" posters seem kinda judgmental.

Very upsetting to hear the overnight staff was let go due to conduct on their end. I’ve never heard of a business needing a sign to not “hook up” in their bathrooms. The gym in the last week has gone totally downhill. Equipment everywhere, puddles galore, employees sitting and sleeping. I for one witnessed a couple giving full foot massages (tie sucking involved) behind the treadmills last week. I get having to reprimand staff- but this is a total loss. Do better!

2 financial accounts are required for membership but if the primary account doesn't have sufficient funds you will be charged a late fee.
What's the purpose of having a backup account listed as BACKUP ACCOUNT if Planet Fitness purposely intends to charge a late fee anyways?
The manager J explained to me that this location does things different than the other PF franchises highlighting No Refunds? But it's not a refund... It's a bill. They're billing members who have the impression that they have a backup account which will be used if the primary account doesn't have sufficient funds.

I travel a lot and I go to several planet fitness with 500 miles of Toledo and I go to my home planet fitness in to Toledo and it's very clean and the people are awesome! But oh baby this one here in Columbus oh is horrible not saying the people are but the planet fit is self the bathrooms are disgusting and small and over crowded! It looks like the building use to be Kmart and they split it in two and made one side pf and the other half of the building a storage place but I will never go back to that oh don't think about taking a shower I just know for the men's bathroom they actually have shower doors but they are broken or just missing my pf in Toledo we just have shower curtains which is a lot easier than doors! 0 stars if I could frfr

This location is a really great location! The staff is really friendly, happy to help you when you need it, and do a great job keeping this location looking great, clean and and tidy.

As far as what you get, as a black card member I enjoy all the extra amenities such as the hydro and massage chairs immensely! The tanning is also a benefit that is available but I do not use it actively, nevertheless they have the latest and greatest!

Whatever your goals are, there are more than enough machines, specific workout zones and free weights for a large group of people without feeling like the place is crowded!

Parking is great as there is a full lot and plenty of space! If you come in the evening or at night, the parking lot is well lit and there are security cameras to ensure security and safety within the lot.

And don't forget there are lots of protein drinks and energy drinks and different things that you might need while you are working out. And if you have the Black Card membership, don't forget to take advantage of those discounts!

Main gym on the south side.. need some work. The Female bathroom, all stalls don’t properly lock/latch. Out of three sinks only one sink has proper water pressure. Plenty of CARDIO machines, all equipment stays functioning and dusted off by workers. Morning crew is helpful and has a workout trainer or two. The parking lot could use A LOT of TLC.

The women's bathroom is still in the same condition. The overall gym is bringing in maybe 5 new pieces of equipment while the others/older machines are still failing. But hey they have cool headphones to purchase now!

After searching for almost a month, I finally found this Planet Fitness location and was amazed! The facility is amazing for the money you pay. The equipment is great and feels new. The entire gym and locker rooms are always kept clean. The staff are also really nice and help whenever you need it. Their slogan of PF being a "no judgment zone" is true because that's exactly how it feels. As a beginner, I feel very comfortable, and the people who go to my location are super nice and are at all different stages of their fitness journey!

Lol this place never changes 🤣 I have been a black card member for 2-3 years now myself and my husband, every time we bring one of our guests there's trouble, the staff always finds something wrong with our visit! I had no idea there's a dress code here? Also the whole reason we have paid so much over the years for the black card is so we can bring our kids in with us, you know start teaching our kids early about working out and our health how important it is, considering that we are the fattest country I believe this is important.

Very irresponsible manager!!! asked the cashier for room temperature water instead of cold so as not to go anywhere, said there is only water in the refrigerator, they gave cold water! The leg extention has been broken since July. Most of the tvs were out from July through October. The tvs finally were working but today 5 of the 20 tvs are out again. My cost stays the same even with fewer amenities. No one at the front desk knows how to contact the franchise owner to file a complaint, which seems odd. I just tanned, they gym is nice and clean. The tanning beds need replaced or fixed. The AC doesn't work on any of them but 1, one bed has 5 bulbs blown out and most of the functions do not work properly on any of the beds. Time to upgrade planet fitness!

I highly recommend Cam Fuller as a personal trainer. I’ve been searching for a gym and trainer for a while now, haven’t felt comfortable anywhere and I felt at ease right away with Cam. He takes his time showing you every piece of equipment. He’s very patient and professional. I signed up on my first day pass due to the experience I had with Cameron and at 47 years old this is my first gym membership!

I just left this la fitness and I gotta be most sincere the gentleman that goes by name Corey was one of the best people I have meet in fitness gyms that deserves highest praise and upmost position in this company. And as over 15 years of gym experience I know what I’m talking about.
Not only did he was so nice helpful knowledgeable he literally did not stop cleaning the place and he was BY HIMSELF. Vacuuming, mopping, moving weights back racking things and all over the place. I don’t know who to recommend this to have him as general manager or promoter or some really good position. And all that he did with pleasant smile and attitude.

This is a convenient location and the staff at the front desk could have been a little more assistance. Along with more knowledge of the request of the customers and providing accurate information as other locations provided that this location was unable to confirm or provided with incorrect information.

So this one has plenty of space and decent (tho somewhat older) equipment. The South High St club kinda fits the neighborhood. (See my photos) There was mold in the shower, and no hot water. When I told the desk the hot water in showers wasn't working, he said, "Yeah, it's been an ongoing problem."

This is one of the most neglected halls of P.F. how is this possible?! The faucet with drinking water does not work well, only the toilet cubicle works, the shower for the disabled also does not work! General cleanliness is ok, but could be better, friendly staff.

Always clean, any location that I have gone too, friendly staff, great equipment, and I absolutely love the aqua therapy massage chair
