We were really happy with our membership, but today a male employee followed my daughter around insisting she didn’t have an appropriate membership. I was with her and when confronted by the staff member, his only explanation was he couldn’t “see the parent waver on the computer” and implied that I lied and never signed one. We ended up canceling our memberships completely and the more I think about how my daughter was targeted the more upset it get. I am certain he didn’t realize I was there and felt he could bully her to purchase a different membership. He followed her around the gym and insisted that she come to the front desk immediately. As a parent, I’m horrified my child was targeted like this. This is completely unacceptable and honestly really disturbing. I’m reaching out to leadership to escalate this.

Took my very pregnant daughter in for the massage chairs and the man allowed her extra spot. They weren’t busy at all, but the employee didn’t have to do that. She is due in four days and it helped her a lot. The place is clean and I thank you so much for helping us out!!

I was disappointed to find that Planet Fitness, which promotes a "No Judgment" environment, seems to limit its TV programming to news channels with a specific political slant. When I asked staff to include more neutral or diverse options like Bloomberg or Fox News International, they were unhelpful and dismissive. While local channels like Fox are sometimes shown, they focus on local news and rarely cover international politics. Displaying channels like CNN, MSNBC, NPR, and Washington Post without balancing perspectives feels inconsistent with the gym’s inclusive ethos. As a member, I’d appreciate a broader range of news options to ensure everyone feels respected, regardless of their political beliefs, while working out.

Staff here are always really nice and greet you when you walk in. Very chill gym. With that being said - it's probably the most dirty PF I have ever been in. It's very dusty and paper towel dispensers are always empty. One time I had to go to 5 different dispensers to find paper towels.

Coming from out of town and staying at the hotel across the street, I decided to go across the street to your W.Va location and I wasn't impressed with the new technology convenience you put into this location. The dispensers didn't work the initial rep was no help, the other rep besides him saw the situation ( he was a taller huskier gentleman) tried to see if there was a key that would at least allow me to get a sports drink to quench my thirst all to no avail. A word of advice, have a service line you can reach out to that will allow you to troubleshoot or a service person to come out to remedy this situation. The facility was clean and surprisingly larger than my normal Planet fitness in Dublin OH. Also I am a Black Card Member.

This is hands down the best Planet Fitness I’ve been to — not just in Columbus, but anywhere in the U.S. I travel frequently for work and visit gyms across the country, and this location stands out as the cleanest by far. The facility is spacious, well-organized, and packed with plenty of cardio machines. On top of that, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. It’s clear they take pride in maintaining a top-notch gym experience. Very busy at peek hours though.

I’m happy to see that the owner is putting up new purple paint today. Certainly more important than replacing tanning bed bulbs (well over a year since), replacing soap trays in the showers (broken since I’ve been a member, years!), cleaning the ac return air vents in the ceiling (moldy and thus, dangerous!), replacing worn out, cracked padding on machines, …. I could keep going, Corporate, but you get the idea, do t you ?!?

This gym has potential but is way too busy. There are too many unused cardio machines and not enough weight training equipment that is constantly in use so you have to wait around for your turn. Doesn’t sound like they are going to get the newly advertised equipment for 10 years if ever.

Showers don’t consistently have hot water. They’ll go cold randomly during your shower. Broken knobs and soap holders.

It would be nice if they switched back to 24/7 rather than the limited hours as well.

Fairly clean and staff seem helpful on the bright side.

Out of towner here, was looking for a place I could keep doing my training during the holidays, which is based mostly with kettlebells. Showed up to that location, and wasn’t expecting much, but gave it a try. Explained my case, they were nice with me and took the time to give me some options to accomodate my quick stay here. I then asked if they had a set of kettlebells and they said yes, but we keep them behind, cause supposedly people leave with them…. I didn’t think much about it, behind meaning behind the gym or somewhere far from the exit door. Fine.

I decide to just take the day pass which is 20$, and once I’m ready to start my training, I asked them where are the KB, and they open a small door behind the desk with a 10lbs, 15lbs and a 30lbs… I was like where the whole set, and she says that’s the set. Well it won’t work for me, I thought you had a full set, and she is starting to suggest me to stack kettlebells together to make it heavier. Long story short, she had no clue what she was talking about, and I asked a refund, and she said no. Everything was fine til that moment, which is really bad customer service. I should have just trusted my gut, but was optimistically hoping a gym of that scale would have at least an understanding of what kettlebells training is. No more Planet Fitness for me.

This location will lock you into contracts, lie about rules and terms of membership, anything to get you signed up. Furthermore, they will nullify your membership if you contest anything without refund. My review is based off the tanning beds. The beds at this location are considered level 1 beds at another location and not strong at all. All the lay down beds at this location are the same. If you tan at this location, I would suggest using the stand up tanning. Another review stated the beds were dirty. The bed I used had debris under the glass and yes they need to be cleaned. With that being said, I wonder when the last time was they changed the bulbs? I got nothing out of this bed yesterday but from the facial bulbs.

Easy going gym. Crowded at peak hours but otherwise pretty clean and spacious gym with all the basics you need. You see ppl of all fitness levels, so it's nice for those who may not be gym rats! They recently updated the equipment and renovated the inside, so everything is nice and new! My only complaint is that right around rush hour, there are lots of young teens that don't know gym etiquette and lack some spatial awareness and sharing gym equipment. But otherwise, I recommend that those who don't want to break the bank want an easy casual gym vibe.

It's a really good sized PF. The staff is insanely nice but there are so many people who bounce around, hog equipment for enormous periods of time because they're on their phone and there's SO MANY people who don't clean after they use an area. This Planet Fitness on Indianola is the worst. Which is sad, because it didn't used to be.
I have to go to it sometimes because it is closest to home and I am on a schedule crunch. The floors are dirty. There are serious dust piles around the machines. There are too many machines in the ab and stretching room.
There is NO room for people to use the mats. The women's locker room toilet area is still nasty. The soap dispensers are still broke. I don't think there is any soap even in them. Something was said to the front desk multiple times. Each time, I get an apology and a promise it will get fixed. It's still not fixed. The tanning beds don't feel like they have been cleaned in a long time. Underneath the glass doesn't look like it's EVER been cleaned. The owner has really let this place get run down. It is always busy when I try to get there at a decent time. It needs expanded or moved to a bigger place. Next time i leave a review, I will have pics to show what I am talking about. Which should also timestamp from now and if anything got fixed by them.

I’ve been coming to the this location off and on since 8/2019. I recently rejoined with my now husband and we love it! The staff are still friendly, kind, and helpful just like before the pandemic. My husband loves the massage chairs and hydro massage bed. There’s tons of machines for everyone including treadmills, ellipticals, step machines, weight machines, etc. I miss them being open later on the weekends. However, they probably close at 7 pm due to a lack of staff on the weekends. We enjoy coming and welcome others to join this wonderful location!

Quality of this location has really declined over the last half year.
Showers have broken soap/body wash holders, water fluctuates semi-randomly except for 1 of the showers (can only speak to the men's side, though...).
Shower setup is poor versus some of the other regions - no significant place to hold anything you bring in.
Worst change is the poor quality & service of the newer staff.
I barely recommend this location - perhaps pick a different one if you're able to drive an extra 5 minutes for a better overall experience.

I am 62 years old and have belonged to many gyms in my lifetime. This one in my opinion is the best. When i enter through the doors I get a warm welcome with big smiles from Tony and Dylan. Clean and big gym even when it's busy there is room. The free weights section is always busy. But most machines can be accessed. The tanning beds and massage chairs are a nice perk. It's not a meat market and most people keep to themselves which is nice in an atmosphere where everyone is focused on sweating it out.

The staff here is more interested in setting off the "lunk alarm" then checking anyone in or maintenance of the gym itself. Pretty annoyed with this location. I wasn’t allowed in without a mask. As I was working out I noticed several people walking around without masks and even watched other people walk in without one. The Sawmill location is bigger and a bit nicer. A lot of these other reviews of people complaining about fees are dumb. They charge you monthly and theres one annual fee and that’s how it’s been for years. Not bad, everyone is real nice, the people there that works out keep to themselfs and never judge. Went there and a number of their treadmills was down but they have plenty of them. To view on one of their TVs is the food network which is an odd choice. It's a judgment free zone but they have a lunk alarm they will go off. For people that wear body building tank tops, and those who drink out of a water jug. Which makes Planet Fitness hypocrites because they are judging people on what they wear and how they consume water. Also, they don't have scales because of the judgment free zone. If you're going to the gym for running or something like that. They have plenty of that kind of equipment. Weight lifting like free weights your going to be waiting a while just to lift weights. So plan out multiple works outs to do ahead of time to do as substitute while you are waiting. Or use Google maps to check for the slowest time to go. Which is before 6am or after 9pm, so good luck. They should for sure open a lot more gyms. I went at 7:15 am on bethel and it's not crazy crowded but lifting free weights or cable weights isn't really going to happen.

I'm a new member at planet fitness bethel road, Columbus ohio .

I've been really enjoying my workout until today , the woman who was in charge of the shift / customer service didn't let us enter without wearing a mask noting that all the time we do wear a mask and we are always respectful and understanding to the rules and regulations.

I requested a mask to enter because I dropped mine on the floor and I didn't have one , I saw a box full of masks in the drawer and she kept telling us we gave you one the 1st time we can't give you another one . How is that acceptable ? Letting a customer go and be unmotivated because of a mask noting that masks are available to her and we are paying for every single service we are accessing as black members who entered and refer friends . Especially that we didn't mind wearing one in the first place , we are and will always be very cooperative

The colleague was as well next to her wanted to give us a mask and sounded very nice but she looked like she was the one blocking the initiative and insisting on making a scene

Noting that all the members are maskless in the arena , and they are few steps away from the door where it's requested

Sorry but this is not a way to deal with customers especially that I've seen members entering without a mask with no single complaint .

Friendly staff and cheap membership prices. Sometimes it can be a bit busy, but thats expected. If you're looking for barbells, you won't find them here. Definitely not a gym for power lifters, but you can still get a good general workout in with the dumbells, Smith machines, cardio, and other machines. Great for starting your fitness journey, or if you're looking to stay fit on a budget.

I've been waiting over 2 years for them to get some 45-pound plates so I don't have to go to half a dozen workout stations to get enough plates to do the leg press.
