This Planet Fitness location is one of the poorer ones I've been to. 3 of the 4 Smith machines have bars that rub badly and aren't smooth at all. There's only one good smith machine and everyone knows which one it is, and it's always taken. They don't have a side lateral machine for shoulders like most other locations, and they are one of the last PF locations that STILL don't have the new plate loaded chest press, hack squat, calf raise, and preacher curl equipment that most other locations have. I'd go elsewhere.

the asian guy at front desk , i donโ€™t know if heโ€™s the manger or not but he is extremely rude and racist , him and his employees been letting me work out with my black card membership and never asked for id, but today when i brought my brother with me he rudely said show his ID which he did and as we were walking away he told us I also need to show my ID for no reason , he is extremely rude and very disrespectful. He needs to get fired i have talked to other guests at the planet fitness and they all say he is a rude and racist guy. As me and my brother were leaving the building he said if i donโ€™t bring my ID back in 10 mins he will cancel my membership and i was driving home and i received a notification that he cancelled my membership. I was a black card member for over 3 years and he thinks he owns the planet fitness and has authority to make such decision and ultimatum. This experience truly ruined my day and made me sign up for another gym the same day, Planet fitness please talk to this employee or fire him because he is the reason for all these bad reviews, again he is and was very disrespectful and racist towards me and my brother. If this issue is not addressed i will be taking this up with higher ups.

03/20/2025 - First time visiting this Planet Fitness and it is busy. The staff were friendly and the members are focused on their workouts. A lot of equipment at this PF, and it is clean. The tanning beds are amazing. Because of its popularity, there may be a small wait to use an equipment. Available parking out front.

The staff is unhelpful and respond negatively when you try to talk to them. Upon joining the location told me to just use the app. When I cancelled my membership after years, the person I called to cancel said the only way to cancel is in person, which I did. Terrible customer service and in empowered employees.

I walked into this location to cancel my membership, since I was told over the phone very rudely that "That's the policy. It's what you signed when you signed up". So yesterday, I finally had time and I was close to a PF, so that's what I did. As I'm cancelling, I brought up the fact that I disagree with this policy to Kirsten K. which she decided to ignore and act like I didn't ask her a question. So I asked again, doesn't this policy seem odd? She gave me the same robot answer about the policy that I got over the phone. So I asked, "hey, I'm not mad at you and I know the policy now, I wasn't asking about the details ... that's why I'm here. I'm just wondering, do you know of any subscription or membership that you can sign up for online or over the phone but you can't cancel online or over the phone? A subscription that requires you to cancel in person." I tried to encourage her to have a more human to human interaction but she seemed stuck and angry. When I asked if I could get a copy of the sheet I signed she yelled "ARE YOU DONE?" very rudely. I even repeated sorry multiple times while stating that my purpose here was not to get her upset or flustered, I just thought hey, I'm here in my local city talking to a real human who has a life outside of work, and I'm asking an honest question as a concerned customer. I walked away so disappointed. I feel terrible that in her eyes, I probably seem like an angry person when in reality I really just wanted her to have a conversation .... empathize with my frustration ... encourage me to continue my membership... ANYTHING but what she did and how she treated me. I think she might be a manager or something and I'm leaving this comment because she is failing herself, the company, and other employees who are learning poor behaviors because of her actions as a "leader". As I said to Kirsten, I hope that she learns something from this experience. It's should be okay to share your opinion respectfully and to engage in conflicting conversations without it being emotionally fueled. I believe Kirsten is better fit at a call center where her interactions are virtual and scripted. I will NEVER step foot in a Planet Fitness again because of this.

Side note: I googled the question that I asked Kirsten K and her colleague, and I'm almost certain that Planet Fitness is violating the FTC's "Click to Cancel" Rule. My experience needs to be shared beyond google, and I will make sure of it.

Desk staff allows people to sit on equipment 5-10 between sets & allows people to have cell phone calls on speaker. Also was there when a woman was on the leg press machine barefoot-a staff member walked right on by. Another time a little boy was playing on the treadmill with no shoes on (dad was next to him & not paying attention). The desk staff could see this & yet saod nothing.

Stopped in today to work out. Nathan was the man at the counter. He didn't say hello or anything, I received a blank stare. I asked to scan my key barcode to work out. After scanning the barcode he tells me i'm not in the system. After calling the location I signed up with they changed my barcode to my phone number. I then tried again with Nathan to enter my number. He now informs me " I owe money"!! I said "no" I do not my account is paid to date. He tells me to call the other location. Liv at the Delaware PF was absolutely polite and informed me my account was paid in full. Nathan then insists he is right I'm wrong and tells me I CAN NOT WORK OUT THERE! He is so rude and argumentative. I called him after leaving to let him know my account is paid...he then tells me he must have looked at the wrong " profile"! NEVER offered an apology.....he continued to be rude. I'm very disappointed this man is the customer service for the face of Planet Fitness. I have loved the Delaware, Ohio location for years. I have moved near this location. I'm probably going to cancel my membership because of such rude customer service at this location.
6-11-2024 UPDATE.. After leaving a message for Lucas/Manager to please call me in regards to his rude employee I decided to cancel my membership. Doesn't seem like this Franchise owner is concerned about the customer service problems.

My experience with the staff, management, and billing system at this location has been frustrating and unnecessarily costly. Despite providing two valid forms of payment โ€“ a credit card and a checking account โ€“ and signing up for auto-pay, I've consistently been hit with late fees.

When I raised this concern with the staff, they promptly shifted the blame onto ABC Financial, washing their hands of any responsibility. It's irritating to see the lack of accountability from the gym's management, especially when this issue seems to be widespread. A quick glance at Google Maps reviews shows more than a dozen complaints from other members facing similar unwarranted and unauthorized charges.

To anyone considering joining this gym, I would caution against it. It seems that issues with billing and customer service are systemic, and there are far better options available. It's particularly frustrating that the staff feign powerless and unwilling to address these concerns until a regional manager intervenes. However, the regional managers are elusive, rarely on-site and impossible to reach by phone.

Marred by unreliable and unethical billing practices, lack of accountability, and unhelpful customer service. Save yourself the headache and explore other gym options in the area!

Update: The PF Social team asked me to email them. After 9 emails their team also passed the buck to the regional manager. They "decline" to give me direct contact info or help in any other way.

My bank account was charged for two memberships for 6 years and I only recently discovered this. When I contacted my branch in Chillicothe they did a great job searching into it. However when I called this branch after finding out they have been charging me for 6 years I was met with horrible customer service. Nathan informed me that I had not been there since 2019 and my card was being charged for two memberships. He then told me I would need to either come into the branch or write a letter in order to cancel. Then he told me there was no way I could get a refund for the 6 years ($1710 just in monthly fees) of double charging. Iโ€™m deeply disappointed in Planet Fitness and their customer service practices.

This location has a young manager named Ashton who does not know how to handle himself. We switched my sonโ€™s account from a high school account to a Classic account. I had to come to the store when we did this and sign a waiver. Now after 2 months of my son working out they say that I do not have a waiver on file and they told my son he couldnโ€™t work out. When i called Ashton he did not know what happened to the signed copy that i already signed so they said he could workout without me coming back to the facility. He is too young to be a manager and has no sense of customer service.

This location is absolutely disgusting. Dirty equipment, restrooms and floors. I wouldnโ€™t dare use the hydro beds here. The employees are extremely rude. I have the black card and happened to stop here after work one night and was so disgusted with the atmosphere I had to leave after 20 minutes. Upon walking in, the two workers glare at you and donโ€™t say a word. I generally rate this gym 3 or 4 stars but after a few negative experiences with manager Kevin I have to lower my opinion.

Without bringing up previous incidents, today I decided to push back because enough is enough. Kevin chewed me out about my shoes telling me that after today he is going to tell everyone about me and that I need to find another pair of shoes.

He explained to me that they have a policy and slip on shoes aren't okay. I attempt to shoes him that my shoes are in fact shoes. They are secure around my foot, have a running sole, and are considered all-purpose shoes according to the manufacturer. But Kevin only repeated himself. I asked Kevin for his supervisors contact information and name. To my surprise, Kevin didn't know this information. I promised him that I would find these things out for him.

I get home and look up the policy and guess what? It mentioned "opened toed shoe's and "sandals." The shoes I wore this day I have used for hiking, biking, lifting, pretty much about everything as the manufacturer states; all purpose.

I am so sick of people like this picking on others. There's no reason to be a mean to others Mr. Kevin.

First time going to this location, wanted to use the massage bed but donโ€™t know where it is. The girl was super helpful and thatโ€™s the reason I did not give one star. However , she had to take an urgent customer phone call so I was standing there waiting for her to show me the massage bed. Then, the guy next to her came to me and asked why I was standing there.The way he asked was definitely not trying to help but more like questioning. I told him I was waiting for the massage bed and then he used an extremely rude tone asking me โ€œwhy you just stand there if you need the massage bed? Why donโ€™t you just go use the bed ?โ€ The girl got off the phone at that moment and then he complained to the girl that he doesnโ€™t understand what Iโ€™m waiting on, like I annoyed him so much by just standing there. The girl immediately told him because I donโ€™t know where the bed is and she then apologized to me.

Maybe he had a bad day that day but Iโ€™m definitely not going back to this location ever again. Not a pleasant experience for sure .

Planet fitness it self is a good facility that provides people with affordable membership and the cheapest one in the nation. However people brake in your car in the parking lot and Planet fitness is so cheap they do not even have cameras in their parking lots to show it to the police for the report to apprehend the criminals. Planet fitness is inexpensive and gets the job done for your basic fitness needs. My only issue is the hours. Dillmont is closest location to me and I donโ€™t advise joining there without the black card. They reduced hours with the pandemic and never opened the extended hours like before. Currently they close at 7pm on weekends and 10pm on weekdays. Itโ€™s busy weekday evenings even close to closing. They only have 4 smith machines for bench press/squats. Itโ€™s hard to get one. Other location near me are open till midnight or 24 hours on the weekdays. This allow more availability to go on off peak times, but I personally feel like if Iโ€™m going to drive to a different location I might a well spend the extra money on a gym that has extra amenities.

I've been going here for probably 5 years, as it is cheap, clean, has good machines, and used to be open 24 hours. It has for the past few months become too busy and too often a machine you want to use has someone already sitting on it while looking at their phone. I used to go there 3 times per week, but now it's maybe once and only to do cardio. I'll keep my membership for now, but if it still remains too busy and the hours are still truncated (closes at 10PM weekdays, 7 PM weekends), I'll probably go somewhere else.

They billed me TWICE IN ONE MONTH FOR 10.75. I have proof on my phone of them doing that and I moved further away so I wanted to cancel and canโ€™t do it over the phone. I donโ€™t have time to go all the way out there and cancel. Billing me twice is not okay at all.

Some nice equipment here, policy throws me off quite a bit. Said you have to wear a mask while walking around gym. A lot of governors are even taking away mask policy due to no benefits. Hopefully they will here too. Lastly staff here said they are not responsible for what channels the tv's are on. If the owner or manager or whoever does it Fox News has been on a tv in planet fitness every time I go to one. This is the only club out of 100 or 200 I haven't seen that channel. World events are important to a lot of people and it would be much appreciated to watch that channel.
I just got out of the shower, I cannot grasp this is one day of filth. Looks like a problem

You're looking for a quick workout with a low monthly membership this is the place. You can do about everything here. It is pretty crowded now since more people have signed up for the new year. You do have to wear your mask in and out but you can have it off the rest of the time, which just doesn't make sense. We are also in Delaware county, the most vaccinated in Ohio and with the fewest cases.

I just resumed gym again today. One of the staff kept unterripting my workout. I always carry a small bag where I put my keys and phone and I hang it on the machine where I'm working out. He told me I can't hang anything on the equipment. I took the bag off and kept it on the floor...I continued working out. There he comes again and said I can't have it on the floor either. I'm like...since when? I've been going to the gym all these years, no one has ever told me such a thing. I was so upset as he kept interrupting my workout. So I left

I went to this location recently due to being in the area for business. My home location is Marion and I often use the Delaware location a lot as well.

While i did find this location to be bigger and had more equipment- I definitely noticed that marion and delaware are significantly cleaner. I wouldnโ€™t say this location is bad. In fact, itโ€™s probably closer to โ€œaverageโ€ cleanliness levels. However, Delaware and ESPECIALLY the Marion location constantly have their workers dusting and cleaning every aspect of every piece of equipment. They get all that hair and nasty stuff that builds up on the equipment in weird places that looks unsightly. This location could really benefit from that attention-to-detail.

All in all though, the staff was friendly and it wasnโ€™t bad by any means. Planet Fitnesses, in general, seem to be well run and this one is no exception.

I attended this gym a few years ago and than had ot cancel my membership. Starting last July '20, I started getting billed again. No one can give a clear answer to why and no word on if I can be refunded. I am struggling financially and to reach any customer service is non-existent online.

The manager Rhonica would not let me work out because my picture was not on file on my account. This is after I have been going to this club for the past couple of weeks. This was very discouraging especially when a person is on a weight lose and healthy living journey any little thing can be discouraging. I will contact cooperate and transfer my membership to a different location. She could of handle it different and let me work out and said the next time I most bring photo ID. She lost my business

If I could give a negative -100 stars I would. Aparently they had the incorrect bank account associated with my daughters account. They indicated they sent several notices, emails and texts, but I only see a few emails and within two weeks we were hit with two late fees. Now who cares about the amount its the principle. My daughter came in and they said she needed to pay her account which she did for $25.75, but they did'nt tell her there was more due (an annual fee and another late fee) and that a late fee was included in that payment). She thought the account was paid in full. I came into complain and asked if the late fees could be waived. They said I could fill out a request and the manager would call me back the next morning. Nearly 4 days later no call. I called and spoke to the Manager and she listened to my complaint the said, well there have been multiple notices, texts and email (no there have not) and the account is now deactivated. I said that's fine we will pay the balance in full including the late fees, but we will never walk through the doors of a Planet Fitness every again. This was too fast, too unforgiving and predatory. Be warned if you visit this location.

I have been a member at this gym for years, and it seems that annual or bi-annual maintenance is non-existent. There is always at least one machine that is broken or out of service, and it takes another 2 months for it to be fixed. The owner does not seem to be very proactive in keeping up with maintenance in order to prevent machines from breaking and rather waits for things to break before addressing the issue. I feel bad for the employees who have to deal with the member complaints when they have no control over this issue.
