Surprisingly spacious vs. How it looks walking in. Staff is one of the worst I've seen. The only one with worse employees is the Airway/East Dayton one. Example being, today we walked in and there were 3 girls at the desk, one leaning on her hand, sitting at the desk on her phone. The other 2 were caught up in their own conversation and I promise you, only looked up to side eye my wife and I. Was on a cable machine and another girl, with no acknowledgement I was there crowded against me to dust. If you're in a human's personal bubble, please communicate, especially at your job. It's always very cold at the front of the building, rendering a large portion unbearable to use.

Plenty of equipment, decent free weight area. The staff was very friendly & courteous. There's plenty of parking as it's the anchor of a small strip mall. Can get crowded and a few of the cardio machines were out of order. They do offer day passes and the first visit was free. There are TVs in the cardio area and you can apparently pick your channel and run the audio through your machine's headphone jack. Also was a dedicated waterbottle refill on the water fountain and the usual cleaning station with spray and wipes. A spa area exists for their Black Card members. Overall a good gym.

I never thought I'd see the day where I was turned away from a YMCA. I have been to around 140 of them all over the country. Dayton Y's must have forgotten what the "C" stands for! Nobody from another state is allowed in them without a local member and a membership from another area. Wow.

However, was I in luck! This place, Planet Fitness, was warm, inviting, clean and had tons of great equipment. I'll be honest, I have been a little intimidated to go into a Planet Fitness. I didn't want to be thrown out for lifting too much weight! It wasn't like that at all! There were quite a few people lifting heavy weight... just not "powerlifters." This place is filled with people of all sizes, ages, colors, etc wanting to get/stay in shape. I loved it! I have to add as well, the staff was really great.

I've been coming here for about a year and a half, about 4 to 5 days a week, and with all the new renovations they did, the new cardio machines, and how well kept it is in general, I'm happy to call it my home gym. The staff seem nice and I see them cleaning fairly often as well. Machines are generally well upkept.

I've only been in the massage area a few times, but those rare times, it's been nice and clean, ready to go, and easy to use.

Overall, it's a nice place compared to a few other PFs I've seen.

And I absolutely love the extras (hydromassage, massage chairs, full body shaky thingie)!! NO COMMERCIAL TRUCK PARKING. I called ahead twice and was told overnight truck parking was allowed. As soon as I pulled in a see a massive sign that says “no commercial parking”. I walked to grab subway and on my walk back to the truck I was approached by the local Police Department and asked to leave. They also made 3-4 other trucks leave as well. Can’t really speak on the gym itself since I didn’t even have a chance to go inside. I understand some PF locations don’t allow trucks, but the staff members should be made aware of the parking policies. I’m very happy the local PD politely asked me to leave instead of towing my truck or putting a boot on it. I’m slightly aggravated I drove 20 minutes out of route after being told I could park there though.

Hi I'm a disabled person with back issues. I usually set 2 appointment for message chair/bed due to not enough minutes. 250 pound girl behind the counter explaining me she can't set second appointment unless I come up. I have used message many time and other employees look out for me. Either u change the rules or set more time on the equipment. It's hard to get out of the bed when u have back issues and I do need aleast 20 mins therepy. It sucks when u have to get up after 10 min then go back for another 10 .ins. Just looking for better customer service

Very surprised by this place; I was visiting family in the area and have the Black Card so I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon in summer. I was worried it would be packed but the place was pretty empty and I was able to get on every bench or machine I wanted. Place was clean and towels well stocked. Someone was always walking around cleaning when I was there.

They don’t enforce any of the planet fitness rules (clothing expectations, machine use, phone use, areas being used as intended). People are disrespectful with the use of the equipment. It’s especially bad in the 30-minute circuit which is intended for people who need a quick workout, yet some spend 30 minutes chatting on their phone while sitting on a machine. Club rules require “proper workout attire” including a shirt, yet half the women in there show up wearing a stringy sports bra and many men wear a rag and call it a shirt.

It’s obvious that the employees are underpaid and therefore don’t make enough to care, especially since it’s like a revolving door of employees in there. I swear it’s like every week there are new employees. Management obviously doesn’t care to maintain a gym up to the Planet Fitness standards.

For $10-25 a month you get what you pay for. The staff is nice enough. The paper towels are gone a lot. Not the cleanest. But luckily there are lots of machines and options. I like using the total body enhancement and being able to bring a friend. Wish I could see class offerings online or on the app.

Business is good it’s the management and owner and district management that are terrible. I canceled my membership in
May due to having back surgery in July and they kept billing my card. Now I have a big bill I have called and the manager has never called back left numerous messages I have left emails never have gotten anything in return if this how they run their business I don’t see how this location stays open. I’ve heard that this location is terrible for this and the manager is just as bad. Next step is my lawyer and I’ll be turning it over to news center 7 it’s a shame that I had to cancel my card so they stop charging my card. Learn how to do business and stopped ripping off customers.

So I was just refused a hydrobed that was empty because the one that they put me on had a lady still on it.. As Chevelle put it " the lady has 20 more seconds, go stand over there and wait!" Then the girl turned her back on me...What was the big deal about putting me on the empty one.. I had another appointment somewhere and was just trying to sneak in a massage..So both young kids working there said "well have a nice day then." When i told them im not waiting when there is an empty one..I left...Rude people should not be working in a place that deals with people on a regular basis.

So I've been to 3 Planet Fitness locations since moving from Columbus, and this has to be the best one. I mean sure, they have most of the same equipment, but this location has the 360°. That's the cherry on top and any location that has that, has my attention. Apparently hard up for money canceling a membership is a nightmare. My daughter and I both went in to cancel membership five months ago when she started college away and they’re still with drawing monthly fees. Emailed Home Office to cancel, went to the actual gym a second time to cancel still charging fees, not a good sign, pretty desperate for money when a company is reduced to flat out theft to stay open!

Planet Fitness just have to say a big warm thank you! I am a long haul truck driver and I stop at many PF locations throughout the USA and it is always the cleanest, spacious, friendly members, and I can rely on the same machines over and over since I know exactly how much weight and reps I did last time. Thanks to you guys I have a decent physique and a passion for fitness. My only complaint is I wish you guys had saunas and brought back pizza mondays for my refeeds but overall PF you guys get 5 out of 5 from me.

I love working out here!!! Everytime I walk through the doors I greeted with the biggest welcome and when I leave they always give me a farewell. They have plenty of equipment that is always available to workout on. The atmosphere is perfect for working out!!! The gym is always clean... very clean, including the restroom!!! I appreciate the fact that you have to schedule a Black Card Spa Perk because I can see the availability! I just wish that they were open 24 hours 7 days a week instead of 24/5 but it is what it is. Overall the equipment is in good working order. Front desk staff are friendly. However, the men’s locker room is typically dirty. There is the same mess of powder on the floor and gross sinks that was there one week ago today. Does anyone round to see how dirty the locker rooms are? What is the frequency that the locker room and showers are being cleaned? Been very disappointed lately in the cleanliness of this Englewood facility.

Listening to me clearly. Do not get a membership here or ANY planet fitness, I had a subscription that I completely forgot about because I’ve gotten a new phone. And they these taking money out of my account. From april 17,2022- may17,2023 the last usage time was april 7,2022 i cancelled and asked ask if I could get a refund for all those time I haven’t use the subscription. And they told me unfortunately there is nothing they can do. I didn’t have the app on my phone to even remember to use it, I completed forget about it. They do not care that’s how they get your money to stay open. DO NOT DO IT this business don’t deserve nobody money might as well keep it in your pocket.

From my various 5am workouts to those later in the mornings, I haven't has a bad experience clanging and banging at this location. The staff for the most part (newbies trying to figure out things and people as well) are great! The gym has always been clean and the equipment is in great shape.

When people tell me.. "You can't get a good workout in at Planet Fitness!!" I laugh at them and say... " A workout is about adaptability, intensity and the effort put in!"

At this location I can load up all the 45's on heavy days and go to work or take the 5's and do it all damn day. Sometimes I wish that they had more 45's..
The cardio machines are great as well!

Take it from this guy who works out for hours, the the people training may change, the staff may change, but at the end of the day.. it's your perception before you walk in that makes or breaks the opinion.

Not sure if I am wearing an invisible cloak when I’m at the englewood planet fitness or if the employees are racist or just don’t care, but I’ve been ignored at the register several times with employees standing right there in my face. I waited 6 minutes (to see if someone would address/help me) and I had to disrupt the giggles and conversation so I could get the chair number for the hydro lounge. I stood at the register another time for a few minutes and two gentlemen walked in and got helped before me (took forever and someone else had to come help me and still ignored me until I said something AGAIN) and all I wanted to do was purchase water during my workout. I can give several more examples of the times I’ve been ignored with a full staff of 2+ employees standing at the register.(not helping anyone) The only kind person is the African American employee, not once have I ever been ignored. It’s annoying and upsetting.
I don’t want some generic response from Planet Fitness. Fix your staff’s attitude and make them complete a course on customer service skills. It’s already hard enough coming to the gym and making an effort towards better health, I don’t need to be ignored while doing it and paying to be ignored.
