I was absolutely blown away with the size and variety of equipment. As always in all the Planet Fitness locations, it was very clean. But going back to my earlier statement, the variety of equipment was impressive. There were a few that I hadn’t seen before. It was a very positive experience. Also, there is plenty of parking for semi-trucks.

I went to planet fitness this morning at 630am whatever shift is there does not clean the floor; or the bathrooms. They are very rude for the older women that was here around 630am this morning on 10/18/25. I've been coming to this location for over 5 years. I've been a member of planet for over 10 years. I went today as I usually do and asked a question at the front desk and the manager Chris was so disrespectful for absolutely know reason. It truly makes me wanna cancel my membership. I literally almost lost it on him that's how disrespectful he was. I'm so glad I caught myself and instead of loosing it made this review. Planet fitness you truly need to get his attitude in check.

I've been coming here for over a year now and I love this location! Morning gym time is where it's at, it's not too crowded unless they happen to close early for a holiday. I see a lot of the same people, so that's a good sign, others enjoy being here as well. The facility is always clean or being cleaned by the staff when I'm there. I am always greeted when I come in and bid farewell when I leave. The manager (Austin) is very professional, approachable and is always happy to assist with whatever is needed. The rest of the staff are great as well. I've been to other locations, both in and out of town, and even though some of them may be newer, the staff isn't up to par as far as guest services. I'm not quite a gym bro yet, but I will continue to come here!

This isn’t a bad location for Planet Purple. I’ve been to some of the other locations around the area and this one has the more up to date equipment. It’s weird, you’d think that new PF by the Liberty Center where all the rich people live would have better equipment, but no. This location does. Good job Fairfield PF. I haven’t had a bad experience here, minus the shower situation someone else mentioned. There’s a lack of storage space or anything you can put a bag or toiletries on in the shower. There was a random chair in there once that I could set my stuff on but it’s not there anymore. The showers also had a noticeable sewage odor.

All in all, it’s not a bad place. Everything else in the gym is clean and the staff was helpful.

This location is often dirty and the locker room smells. On one of the massage chairs the leg portion is crooked and actually hurts to use. I wish they would take better care of the equipment and clean the locker room and restrooms routinely and thoroughly. Maybe get some air fresheners.

Some of the men here including the bald gentleman who is a manager of some sort, are pretty rude towards me as a Black women. One guy literally turned away from scanning me in.. A white man scanned in before me, and when it was my turn the employee turned away from me. Thankfully another employee scanned me in.

I came in today to create membership and I had help from Bethany, I am hard of hearing and she was very patient she sat with me and help me figure everything out from getting the bank information to showing me around the gym and explaining tanning. I had a very welcoming experience for my first time she also told me about the training they do here and how it can help with my recovery from my knee replacement. Very helpful girl I'm excited to see her again, very enjoyable and I feel confident for the future gym experience after talking to her.

The manager responded very calmly and attempted to work through it with her but she continued to be very abrasive and demanding. I had a very negative experience here June 2 at 11:45PM. First, when I approached the man at the counter he was very abrasive; I asked how I could sign up for a membership and he said “I have nothing to do with that.” When I asked for clarification, he said “you use your phone, I don’t help you.” I noticed he was very frustrated so I said “Maybe we aren’t on the same question, do I need to use a debit card for this or can I use a credit card?” He responded with “It’s not me asking, you put it in the app. Do I come in here and tell you how to put on your shoes?” I said “We’re done here.” After sitting in the car a minute, I walked back in for a second chance. I asked “Do you know the next closest location?” He responded with “Don’t you have a phone?” And followed up with “Go to Liberty, maybe you find what you want there.”

I have never experienced customer service like this.

This looks to be a new facility it’s got an enormous amount of exercise equipment to cater to their clients. But it takes more than equipment to make a facility prosper when you first walk into the gym the welcome you get pretty much makes you think about whether you should be here or not almost like you’re an inconvenience not the first hello or anything all they do is stare at you. People skills need to be developed. The cleanliness of the showers need some attention. The availability of hooks inside the shower stalls is limited to one almost reminds you of a third world shower stall. I don’t wanna sound too critical, but the overall atmosphere could be developed to make a more pleasant experience for your workout.

The machine options are great, however this location is lacking in their customer service. While in the midst of a workout I’ve been stopped by multiple times by the same employee throwing every other “rule” at me. Stopping my workout and getting visibly frustrated when I cannot hear her due to me having headphones in at the time. Then frustrated when I asked her to repeat herself. Again, Ive only had an issue with this specific location and only this employee coincidentally. This location, from my experience and others I’ve witnessed in reviews this has been a known issue with staff and their attitudes. Otherwise, the gym is great!

I’m not big on giving negative reviews (look through my history), but if I was looking into this place I would want to know. I was a planet fitness member down in Hyde Park for a while then when I moved up to Fairfield I joined up here. When I originally started going it was good, clean, and available.

Last year they did a deal with teenagers coming in for free or discounted. It become super congested and couldn’t get access to weights (cardio mostly sat empty).

I decided to cancel my membership. They have continued to charge me for a year. I called last month and they had proof in their system that I canceled and then kept charging me.

They said they would give me a refund for all of it. That was a month ago. I’ve been trying to call the last 2 weeks and finally got a hold of a manager today. He said they declined my refund so he resubmitted it today got 3 months plus the yearly fees (apparently they are just going to keep the other 9 months they charged me after I cancelled). Along with telling me it will be another 10 days to process.

When I asked for the corporate number they told me to Google it. The owner was not apologetic at all and came off as I was annoying him. I feel like I was being respectful and thought my request for a refund was fair (maybe I’m being a Karen, I’ll let you guys decide).

Edited: I emailed the place the owner wanted me to email below and they basically said they can’t help it is up to him. 🤣 Avoid this place

I started going to this location about a year ago. It started off well. They have a very clean facility. The front desk staff are always helpful and welcoming. It is very spacious, you have no difficulty finding machines to use.

However, over the past 3 months, the showers have been unbearable. The water is constantly cold or freezing and you can't seem to find a good warm temperature to take a shower after your workout. The staff had chalked it up to the hot water heaters failing. 🤞 fingers crossed they replace them asap.

The blow dryers were stolen. They still have not been replaced. I have been bringing in my personal hair dryer. Hopefully this gets fixed soon and they purchase new hair dryers attached to the wall permanently.

For the FIRST time in my life I was treated super poorly as a customer.. I went to tan after my workout for the first time as it was only my 2nd time today using my membership at the Fairfield location which I was hoping to make my home gym.. I just purchased my membership last week.. The lady did not walk me back to show me how to work the bed or tell me anything about the beds buttons/controls soooo of course I could not get the bed to power on.. I then had to get up out of the bed and call the front desk for help.. She came back and watched me press the power button and the bed still didn't power on.. She then proceeded to tell me it was showing up in their system that I had indeed tanned in that bed for the full 12 minutes.. It was VERY clear that the bed had NOT been laid in by anybody for 12 minutes recently because it was VERY COLD on the acrylic!! The lady then went back to the desk and scanned her own barcode and came back to the room I was in and she got the bed to power on right away!! She then told me that since SOMEHOW it was showing up on their computer that I tanned in that bed for 12 minutes I was NOT allowed to try and power the bed back on and tan. I expressed to both ladies working that I in fact NEVER got the bed to power on and they continued to make me feel like a LIAR because their system was showing false information somehow which I didn't know could even happen! They told me I was back in the room for a while and they continued to make me feel super uncomfortable and that I was just trying to get a 2nd session back to back in the tanning bed or something crazy! It was absolutely UNFAIR and I felt like they DID NOT care about my satisfaction or first experience AT ALL! 😔😔 I then called a DIFFERENT location nearby and informed them of the situation I had just gone through and the individual was very polite and offered to have me come to their location and they said they would manually set a 12 minute timer in one of their tanning beds for me so that I could tan today which is LITERALLY so nice and it actually showed me that these individuals cared about their customers experiences. I WILL NOT return to the Fairfield Planet Fitness.

I will never go this location again and I won’t recommend anyone to go this location. I’m one of the Black card member and I scanned my membership bar code but one of the staff stopped my wife. She said I need to scanned one more time for her. I tried to know why is that. Because when I registered there was other staff she never mentioned to scane for my wife too. I was trying to explain those things but one staff came up with aggressive and told me to cancel and go? Still I was trying to explain him I have been there many times but no one told me to scane but was getting more aggressive.I had no choice and I cancelled my membership. Very disrespectful stuff 👎🏾

Seems they only have sports and news channels and then a couple other channels no one cares to watch. And if they do, they lost reception or the sound doesn't work on that channel

It's a gym and it's cheap. Besides that there's nothing good here. The staff will police how you dress. I've been told a few times on lunch breaks from work that I can't work out in jeans, boots, or wear cut off shirts, which is very hypocritical because they would never say the same to any underdressed girls. If you actually care about fitness, this probably isn't a good place to go.

and who are the rules for? because apart from the fact that I did not have that information when I registered, they have to know what employees they have because it is disrespectful to be talking to that employee and she responds in a mocking way and with laughter in my face where I am paying my money and where I have seen how they have been with other people who do not even scan their passes because she told them that it would happen in our face. That has happened. When you want to enforce your laws, make sure that it is for everyone, not for one or two, because that is called racism and we no longer live in those times. If you have your rules and want to give good customer service you should be nice because entry is not free and as far as there are free services for anything you give a very friendly service unlike you, I see many complaints and you do nothing, the duty of that young woman is to inform the rules in a friendly manner without using mockery in her face and much less call the police for something that does not make sense to create a problem of that magnitude and cancel membership to a person who had been visiting Planet Fitness for 7 years and paying them a monthly fee then they cancel my membership and the possibility of going somewhere else just because you have an uneducated and disrespectful employee.

The worst gym is this one in Fairfield, very bad customer service today I had a bad experience, I have a black card and I share it with my husband and I can hardly go to the gym because of my job and he can only go on Saturdays and Sundays and we can't go together because we have no one to leave the children with, they have no childcare, so how do they expect me to have to go with my husband for him to be able to enter, it doesn't make sense, they are disrespectful, one paying their money and they even called the police and prevented my husband from entering but they did not return the 67 that he paid and yet I was able to see how that employee told a girl to go through without putting her ID in the scanner, that is not done, the worst service, they are not friendly or understand others 👎🏼

I compare all locations to my home gym in Colerain. This was just as nice. It was clean and well lit, has so many treadmills! including on the upper level in front of the windows and right below fans, which I like. Austin the general manager addressed my concern with care and welcomed me back to the gym. I took him up on his offer and had a good time. This location has really taken a turn in the worst way. I went to tan and once I got a room and fully undressed I realized that there was a gross milky film from the previous person all over the bed. I had to get dressed and go out to ask the three employees if I can just clean it myself. The manager then had asked how I was doing after he had heard if I can clean my own bed and said not a word about it. I will not be returning to this location. On top of my poor experience, my sister who came with me didn’t even get to tan because I guess they forgot that she was standing there waiting for a bed, she said they were to busy people watching to do their job. She ended up walking out still without anyone noticing or saying a word. I may not know how to run a gym but I’m positive this isn’t the way. I’m very disappointed, use to be my favorite location.

If I could leave no stars, I would.
I have been coming to this location for 10+ years yet my past two experiences have been horrible. Not only do the 12 employees standing at the desk no longer greet you, there has been no paper towels/solution at stations to wipe off your equipment before/after use. The last time I went, I attempted to use a tanning bed, after getting undressed and into the tanning bed, the tanning bed never turned on so I was unable to tan. Then today, after my workout, I attempted to tan again, the staff didn’t say a single word to me as I stood there waiting for an OPEN bed for 10 minutes. I watched multiple people walk out of the tanning beds & the 5 employees standing there gossiping about the people inside of the gym & their frustration with people not answering calls when they try to contact them calling people “stupid”. After standing there for 10 minutes with zero acknowledgment, I walked out, not a word said to me.
My sister was accompanying me & was able to tan but after getting into her room and undressing, she realized the tanning bed was disgusting, had milky residue left all over it, including no towel/goggles inside the room and no bottle on bed indicating it had been cleaned. She then re-dressed and came out to ask if she could clean the bed because it hadn’t been cleaned.
This location used to be my absolute FAVORITE but it has went down hill in the worst way. I will not be returning to this location and was really close to canceling my membership after this second AWFUL visit. I know this is NOT the planet fitness standard.

I've gone for 3 years, have visited every hour of the day. Always clean and workers are helpful, you get what ya pay for. Black card is worth it for the hydro lounge alone, still half the price of LA fitness or similar!

They’ve been scamming me out of money for over 6 months. I went in on several occasions to cancel my membership and they’re still charging me. The lady who answered the phone was dismissive and rude and the manager then also proceeded to yell at me and hang up on me.

It sucks not this particular location but planet fitness as a whole people need to sue them and they will be soon . The contract is 24/7 now on the weekend they close by 7pm Friday Saturday and Sunday what about these people who only have the weekend to train or want to go late . People need to sign a petition . It's a false advertisement. And they need to be held responsible

AN INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE. I was in Fairfield for a month and found this Planet Fitness to be the best fitness gym. The facility is extremely clean, equipment operable, and management staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Idk what’s devron’s problem is but it’s not mine. First time at this location. But the manager definitely helped improve my “first timer” experience. Overall the gym is a great size, and not too packed w/good equipment.

Clean but very busy unless you only want a treadmill. Crowd meter scale is ridiculous. 2 out of 10 is busy. 3 means only treadmills available without waiting for others to finish.

I mostly come to this location at night, and the bathrooms are always dirty, and I've seen the same clump of hair in one of the showers for over a week now. It's also very difficult to use any of the Black Card Spa machines because there is never anyone at the front desk, and there is no way to contact/ alert a staff member. I think it's worth the extra couple of minutes to travel to a different location.

The Fairfield Planet Fitness location has been the best one by far that I have visited. I am not a member of this location technically, but I do visit it because it's close to my work. Every time I walk in, the staff is professional and polite and very personable. They ask how your day is going, and they make sure that you leave happy. They are attentive and don't sit on their butts on the counters and eat food like other locations. I have seen five stars to you guys, and I keep up the great work.
