Checked out all the new equipment they installed this week. Only thing that didn't change was some of the cardio equipment (treadmills, etc). Great to see the reinvestment in the gym. Wish they would have kept a couple of the limited equipment that was still serviceable. (Some ab and still only one assisted pull up) but overall its a definite improvement

First off I want to start off by saying it’s a Clean & Beautiful facility, Lots of machines, equipment, space etc. . I travel for work/construction 6 months at a time in & out , travel from state to state & try to stay fit. This location is in a beautiful shopping center, lots of space lighting and parking as well as shopping all on this strip. Out of the 1,000’s I’ve visited this “PF” Location is 1 that I would mark on the map that I like. Don’t know why I like it I just do. With that being said, although it’s 4 out of 5 stars , I took out half a point because the shower curtain wasn’t bad but it could use a washing, so I’m not going to count that point, but what I will count it is although everything was excellent in good standing, I spend a hour and 45 on a “HARD GREAT WORKOUT” shower freshen up relax for a sec, and as I’m leaving I grab a muscle milk. The young fella at the register had me scan my phone (standard) but then a lady stepped in and said being that is not my home gym (HOUSTON) this is (COLUMBUS, OHIO) we cannot use the card on file. “SHE STATES, “THERE’S 10 INDIVIDUALLY FRANCHISED PF’S IN THIS AREA THATS INDEPENDENTLY OWNED AND I CAN WORK OUT I JUST CANT BUY NO GATORADE “”. I was like damn I was feeling good 2. But questioned out of all the 3,000 I’ve been to it’s just odd this is the 1, I can’t even get a drink from. With all honesty I usually don’t get drinks after a workout but out of 3-5 years I buy them here and there & this is the location that stands out… Luckily Kroger’s was next door so it wasn’t no problem, through my bag in the truck & walked on over….. This location 4 out of 5 stars , I will be returning…

Too many campers. I get it, there's a rest period between reps, but spending 20 minutes checking your phone and doing two sets of 10? At least let someone work in. But the staff does nothing about it. They're too busy talking to each other or friends to care. The high school is also nearby, so it acts like an after school program for developing lunks. There is usually one machine of a kind that everyone wants to use, and four teen boys huddled around it goofing off, or leaning all over other closer machines so you can't get to them, and they are there for like 45 minutes. Again the staff does nothing. The gym etiquette for people there is almost non existent. So many people not wiping down machines. Bare naked people on the benches in the locker room and not wiping down after. A lot of the machines are broken and not marked, like a machine for your legs, but the bar is bent so your left leg has to do more, torn materials in the pads, hand grips that are ripped and barely hanging on... It's like PF puts nothing into maintaining the place. One of the worst PF's I've ever been to.

Stopped on for a day pass and the staff was friendly. Large space with a ton of treadmills which is what I needed. I also did their 12in and machines and showered there. Only issue I had was the shower. I had to put my glasses and toiletries on the floor because of not bench or shelf. But definitely was nice, clean (they were in there cleaning while i was there and it was clean before but even cleaner after), and roomey with plenty of lockers. Went at 5:30-6 am for about an hour. They were busy but not packed and had lots more room for more people to lift and use the cardio machines.

Just had the best experience daven I believe that is his name I hope I didn't say wrong went above and beyond to help move a treadmill because my dumbass lost my earbuds so I'm very appreciated of him. The Gahanna location is horrible. You see mold in the bathrooms, and the short lady named Charity is always profiling the young African American teens who come in. The club manager has been heard saying questionable things to fit in with the African American members. The gym is also always dirty and dusty. When you ask questions, the response is always 'I don't know.' The morning crew is friendly, but the late-night staff smell like weed all the time. Additionally, the short, dark-skinned girl with long braids doesn't even greet guest when they come in. This is definitely not a great experience..

Well my brother had a membership here and passed away in February. They want me to either drive from Cleveland to Columbus to tell them in person or hand write and mail a signed letter. Ridiculous what they’ll do to keep accounts open in situations like these.

The PF in Michigan said that’s their policy but given the circumstances, they’d help me out and just cancel it. Kudos to them for doing the right thing…

Two stars because Michigan did something nice and because the rep at Gahanna at least offered his condolences.

I love this planet fitness and have been coming here for years. Recently in the last about year I have seen a significant decline in cleanliness in the men’s locker room. It is almost to the point I don’t even want to go in there. When I say the cleanliness used to be 5 stars now it has fallen to 1. The stall walls look like they haven’t been cleaned in a VERY LONG time. The showers look like they have been cleaned by a toddler. There is wet tissue on the floor around the toilets that have been there for days if not weeks. I hope to see an improvement in cleanliness ASAP or I will be canceling my membership going to another gym. I don’t want to cause I have always loved this gym and location. Can someone in charge please help get the cleanliness back up to par PLEASE!

"Beware if you have asthma, hay fever the gym can definitely bring on asthma and allergies attacks if you can't be around dust and dirt⚠️ the workout conditions are dirty and unacceptable all at the same time!!" This gym floor is covered in dust and dirt on the gym floors under the equipment and on the equipment I have pictures. The bathroom gym floors and locker rooms floor have not been vacuumed, mopped, disinfectanted in months. Obviously it smells dirty in this gym!!! The new manager Alexis needs help this gym is beyond her control!! The Gym staff at the desk you have to take empty disinfectant bottles to the desk so they can fill them up to put backweekly The cleaning stations are always empty cleaning stations. Any one with breathing conditions beware!!⚠️ To the Owner All gym members said Enough is Enough!! Fix the problems

I love coming here, it's convenient, plenty of equipment and other things. My biggest complaint, there are paper towel dispensers meant to clean equipment when you're done. They can have up to four team members at a time standing talking and playing on their phones meanwhile I have to talk to three different dispensers because two of them are empty.. Pretty ridiculous in my opinion. This isn't the first time, it's regular. I hope whoever owns this place and pays these people can fix this issue.

I will admit the only thing that's hard is the yearly payment for the membership on July 1st, which is like $60 bucks on top of your monthly, which is $24 for full access, or $10 for the gym only. The yearly + the monthly is really hard with all the other expenses in life. You have to decide if those dues are worth it for your life...

HORRIBLE! ALL THE WAY WRONG! This was very disappointing for a Planet Fitness Member. Was on this side of town taking care of business. Decided to go to this location to work out for the day! I was told by the Manager (Chris) at Gahanna location. I wasn't able to work out for the day because I didn't purchase the membership at that location. Chris said, "if, you upgrade you will be able to work out at this location. But, since you didn't get your membership here at the Gahanna location you won't be able to work out here". Now, remember ladies and gentlemen. Planet Fitness prices changes every day on the website. Just because I caught a special deal on time, that's the only reason why I wasn't able to work out for the day. Chris the manager wanted me to upgrade to be able to work out at that location. Because I didn't do so, Chris the Manager said, I couldn't work out for the day! I didn't ask to use any other additional equipment as far as massage chairs or tanning beds. Now, then he would be able to say, "that's not allowed because of your membership only covers using fitness equipment and not the massage chairs and tanning beds". But, you can use other equipment that's what's in your plan.

Absolute SCAM! They recently took money out of my bank account for the month which was literally a few days ago. I get an email saying that payment didn’t go through. I check my bank account and they did indeed took that money out and the payment went through. I looked on my app and it said that my next payment was due on January 17th. My workout place is what I posted back in March, however recently I tried to call to see if I can make arrangements to get my account current, they're absolutely unwilling, I mean without going into detail, you may not understand everyone's financial situation and may have had hardships before you come off like so non-chalant like oh well you still be billed off an old account btw, when what you could've said was" hmm, I understand ok let's see if we can make a payment plan ,and keep you as a customer I see you were paying monthly up until whatever happened, then you kinda make a threat, like I'll never be able to work out at a planet fitness again? Dear owners, you really need to step your game up on the cleanliness of this location. It is always so dirty. I saw a guy moping the other day and didn't not vacuum 1st. Dust everywhere! The tanning beds are NEVER cleaned . If they are not going clean them after every use, at least leave cleaning spray in the rooms

Great gym and usually pretty busy. I wish they had more free weights but I can’t complain too much for what I pay. I do, however, find it a little annoying that the weight rack is empty because our fellow members cannot put them back. I love this gym. I frequent it weekly. The only con I have with this gym is that sometimes the paper towel dispensers are empty! Haha, but it’s not a big deal I always walk around to the other dispensers anyway. Everything is always cleaned and machines are repaired if they are broken.

If you want to use a bench I highly recommend going at night(which is Tuesday-Thursday) after midnight when nobody is there. They are always open! I’ve had problems getting benches going any other time of day, and this was my fix for my needs!

I moved out of state and have been trying to cancel for 6 months and they have continued to charge me and won’t give me a refund. I went in person, called and emailed and sent a letter after I had moved never got any rectification until I called the 800 number which the manager is still trying to charge me for two more months. My only complaint is; Don’t advertise as a 24/7 gym if you’re going to be 7A to 7P on the weekends. LOTS of people work outside of a 9-to-5 job M-F, and even some work on weekends. If you find yourself not being able to sleep and wanting to blow some steam off don’t count on this place at 2-3 am in the morning. You’ll arrive at their gym with all of the lights/tvs on with signs that state, “we’re open”, “come on in” but the doors will be locked and no one will be there… again, other than that, wonderful place.

I have not gone to the gym since before COVID but have continued to pay membership.
Went in yesterday no problem. Today I am approved by staff stating that I had not made payment on 4 occasions. On not one of these occasions was I notified by mail or a call of this situation. ( two in 2018, one in 2019, and one in 2021)
No judgement free is not approaching someone in front of others and for the first time notifying someone of this situation.
So never since Nov 2021 do I get notified. I do not get a bill to cover bounced check fee.
Well you have my payments through COVID but no more. I have suspended my membership.

Walked up to the gym yesterday, got there at 6:00am as I have plenty of times before. Pulled in the door to find it was locked and a sign that said they changed hours and would open at 7:00am. Didn't want to hang around for an hour like a creep so I went back home. Here is why I'm frustrated, I'm a black card member, have been going to this gym since they opened there doors. I just showed up for a workout at my normal time only to find them closed, with a sign on their door showing their hours to have been dramatically cut (since yesterday) "temporarily" due to staffing shortages. The website still says it's 24/7, the big sign in the window still says "we're open", and no email was sent to members informing them of this change. Staffing shortages are unfortunate, but this was not handled well. I wasted my time, didn't get a workout, and the new hours are terrible. Hopefully this will be resolved quickly.
