Its been 6 months and I feel I am now able to give a more honest review.
My 5 STAR review has now gone down 2 STARS YIKES! I come to this gym 5 days a week and observe as to how this gym operates while working out which is NOT good. It's apparent they are hurting for GOOD employees! I complained to the GM Manager and she advised she was going to work on getting my concerns addressedas soon as possible. There's never anyone at the front desk (mornings). People have had to wait for 10-15 mins to get signed in for either tanning, and whatever other machines needing signed in. I know she hasn't addressed anything because there has NOT been any improvement at all! There has been times I have gotten off of my treadmill or elliptical to go in the back to advise there were people out in the lobby waiting. It's gotten so bad my husband cancelled his membership as he Tans as well as workout. I told the GM about this she gave me this Fake concerned look as well as a fake apology. I'm not buying any of this! I felt she just wanted me out of her face. Unfortunately I feel I am going to cancel my membership as well. SMH!

I come here everyday. Everyone working is usually outstanding. The guy working today around 1pm was telling patrons to wait repeatedly while he messed around on the phone and computer. There were 13 people deep trying to purchase drinks and ask questions / purchase memberships and this guy walks away to clean the bathrooms. Totally unacceptable.

Horrible hours of operation. Many clubs do 24 hour, this one doesn’t which is ok, but then don’t change 3 different days hours because of Memorial Day. People have to work on days that aren’t Memorial Day, why do I have to miss 3 days of consecutive workouts because hours on THREE SEPARATE DAYS are completely arbitrarily changed around Memorial Day. Memorial Day is ONE DAY. Why would that ever, for any reason cause a later opening time the two days surrounding it? Completely idiotic by whoever runs these hours seriously.

Every time i come here, I remember why I hate coming here. Ridiculously hot no matter the time of year. Always stinks lile sweat, dirty, overcrowded. Staff is not friendly or remotely helpful. If you work a typical day shift job and workout after work, this place is so busy it's almost impossible to get anything done. If you're lucky enough to not have a 15+ minute (past your sign up time) wait to tan, the tanning beds are dirty over half the time. I've been to a lot of planet fitness locations (a lot of them also not great), but this one comes in near last for me.

I had a good experience till one day I seen extra charge on my account I went there and tge said I was late on my payment although I had agreement with them using auto pay and withdrawal from my account each months but then suddenly they said there wasn't any signature on the agreement so why you didn't follow up with me then? and waited till it's time to charging me late fee.
When I went there and spoke with one of the staff she said no worries I am not going to charge you late fee just sign the paperwork and will charge you only your monthly and I look at my account and I see that there was that extra charge that they said they will not charge me.
It may not be a big amount but it's the idea of someone lying at you

Not "5" because I just started, only been there 4 times now, and so I will need more input. I've been working out in gyms around the world for fifty some years now and many are what I call "CLICK Stations". Praying this is not like that, but again, still need more info.
At this point, most of the "crowd" so to speak, predictably fall into the standard categories. I for one will help only when asked and am there because I enjoy the challenge, but I will not put up with bullies or punks making fun of others, as apparently is policy here. Those that I have meet are friendly and seem to be of like mind. However, if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place, go to a library and/or bring a non-distracting ear peace. And for those thumb exercisers, GET OFF OF THE EQUIPMENT, and work them out some where else.
The staff is young but seem to be trying. The facilities are fairly still new, plentiful, and well maintained. At this point, I hope to be here awhile, if you see me there (fairly easy to spot) and have a question and/or comment, come on over, most call me Sarge.

This is the first location near me that has a hybrid tanning/red light therapy booth. I can't wait to try it, but I didn't notice until after I had already used the original booths. I'll update later when I try it.

I really enjoy this Planet Fitness location—great atmosphere, brand-new equipment, and I’m a HUGE fan of the new hack squat machine. The gym itself is clean, spacious, and well-maintained, making for an overall great workout experience.

That being said, the weekend staff needs serious improvement. We went during the afternoon and were initially greeted by a friendly employee, but after that, it felt like the staff was more focused on socializing than actually doing their jobs. One employee, who should have been refilling spray bottles, was instead sitting on the floor chatting with members. Later, when we went to use the hydro massage chairs, we were "helped" by the same employee—this time eating a marshmallow and chewing away while another staff member signed us in. To make matters worse, they were openly complaining about another member right in front of us.

We had to go to the desk THREE separate times just to get our massages turned on, and even then, only one turned on so we decided to leave. When we were leaving, there wasn’t even anyone at the front desk—one employee had left the building for break, and the other was busy cleaning the tanning beds.

I find this kind of customer service incredibly frustrating, especially since the gym itself is so nice. I’ll keep coming back because I like the location and equipment, but I really hope the weekday staff is more professional and attentive.

Well I love all the reviews of it being a great club. It is a very nice Club, and the staff that shows up to work in the morning, to open the club are nice. But Many occasions they aren't open at 5am like today 2/14/2025. This is not the first time. Many people were pissed because this is an on going sporadic issue. Maybe have some reliable moring staff to open the gym or if they are sick someone on call. With a 4hr. Call off window so this doesn't happen.

They created an additional account under my name and when I tried calling them to get my money back and to speak to a manager. The employees made a joke, laughing etc about the whole situation . I was told they didn’t have a manager and to call on Monday. I called again and an employee said the manager was in a meeting, then said they didn’t have a manager on duty when I asked to speak to them. Like why lie about that. They are rude and will try all their best to avoid you, thus playing hide and seek with incompetent employees. Find a different gym if you don’t want to be robbed. It is not worth the headache or making business with rude, arrogant and disrespectful people. This place needs serious work. The only employee that was helpful and respectful was Brad give him a raise!

Kaitlyn at the front desk was very very unprofessional and rude. My husband and I have always used the guest pass. I pay my membership fee monthly in order to get this guest pass, we work on different schedules so we work out for about 15 minutes together and then i leave and he stays to finish his work out. upon arrival today when he scanned his QR code to workout she had stopped him and told him he can not workout here using a guest past. He asked about starting up his own membership and she was again completely unprofessional, didn’t offer to sign him up, no details on how to buy a membership or why he couldn’t workout today with his pass that again i pay for monthly. she said “you are a guest and don’t actually have an account so you have to leave right now” my boyfriend then asked about getting his own membership if this was a issue she proceeded to say “i said right now which means now, get out” safe to say my money will be going else where. i called after the encounter and asked why it was this way, after she couldn’t give me answers i asked to talk to someone else, she told me no and then hung up on me. the “perks” for paying DOUBLE a normal membership aren’t worth this hassle. you can’t use the guest pass, the tanning beds are always dirty, unprofessional staff, equipment is always broken or down. a gym who claims to be a judgement free zone, where you expect nice staff and a comfortable place to work on yourself, this is not that. if i could give stars for the staff it would be negative.

I like Planet Fitness, it's a decent gym for low cost. It's reasonably clean and has more than enough equipment/weights for my recent levels of activity.

Issue here is:
The hours... closes at 10 Mon-Thurs, Friday- Sunday they close early. My schedule works best for going about 9-10/11 which means I mostly can't go Fri-Sun.

While economically Plant Fitness is hard to beat, it's only fair to point out it's shortcomings. Mainly if something breaks it stays "out of order" for some time, I'm talking months (at least in Grove City). For instance, one of the massage chairs does not provide arm & leg massage, squeaks & hydraulics pop. When staff is questioned the response is always: a work order has been placed. Unfortunately there are only 2 so 50% are not functioning properly, a situation that has continued months. TV's are frequently out (a situation blamed on the cable company), broken soap dispensers etc. Fortunately there's a ton of cardio equipment, a selection of free weights & machines so there are plenty of options to work out. Overall a good place to exercise.

Updated Review. Water fountain is not working and Today i forgot to bring my own water to the gym. The guy on the counter couldn't charge my card. After working out need water a .75 cents of water they can't give you because of their water is not available at the gym. The problem is if someone knows that you worked out you need water There is no humanity left even if you are dieingfor water no one give a damn. the gym can't afford that 0.75 cents of water bottle. Even though I told the guy I will pay it later and it was not my fault that he couldn't get charge my card. I am very disappointed with this act. Facility is clean and large, but the staff is not friendly and there is always a problem when I try to sign in for any of the booths or amenities that the machine didn't schedule even though it scheduled when I initially signed up they have no record of me scheduling an hour in advance for a tanning bed or booth and I end up having to wait an extended period of time. I tried to ask for assistance several times but the staff gives the cold shoulder without any compassion.

I give this location 2 stars because its clean, well maintained, and the staff are friendly. But the staff being friendly is also part of the problem. One thing I like about planet fitness is the 30 minute circuit. 20 exercises in 30 minutes, follwing a green (do your set) and red cycle (wipe down the equipment and move to next station). The instructions are clear. Written out, stations are numbered, and there is a colored light system. In my year of coming to this gym, I have only ever seen 1 person using this area as intended other than myself. No matter the time of day. 5am, noon, 8pm, there will always be prople in there doing whatever they feel like doing, who then stare at you like you're the jerk when you are waiting for the person on your next machine to get off, still doing reps during the "STOP" cyle. There is a sign that says this area is exclusively for the 30 minute circuit and that is is regularly monitored by staff. It is not. The only time I have seen a staff member even remotely near that area to replace paper towel or to give a tour, standing right there watching as anywhere between 2 - 8 people just do whatever they want, despite there being either 1 or 2 identical machines out on the main floor. So obviously, this impacts my own workout because I find myself still waiting for machines when it should be a cycle. I like it because its mindless, i dont have to think about my workout, and i can get a full body exercise in 30 minutes and be satified even i didnt really want to go to the gym that day. But dealing with people who are not following the rules of the area, either because they cant read, tell color, count, or just think they are the main character, is a constant struggle if you want to just go in and workout with limited time in the day. When I ask the manager about getting the area more frequently montiored, they told me "that they can go over there, but they cant actually enforce it". So they can revoke your membership for being a "lunk", rude to other customers, and multiple other offenses, but they cant enforce the rules of their actual workout areas. Coming back to my point of the friendly staff, they will not confront people. I have seen people be asked to remove gym bags from the floor, but never once seen them try to enforce the gym in any other manner. So that is why i cancelled my membership. If Im going to have to still wait to use equipment, I am going to a gym that offers more machines in total and enforces their circuit training area. If you want to use treadmills or elipitcals, there are plenty and this is a great place for it. But Ive paid for the gym with a black card membership and cant even use the basic amenities as intended and cant do the workout I want to do because of the other customers at this location.

So I came here after working a 12 hour shift and then decided to do a nice hour workout. Tanned and then 2 hours later realized my arm felt empty! My apply watch ultra 2 was missing! Considering how new the gym is there are always a considerable amount of machines out of order. Out of the four stair-masters, there has been one out of order for at least two months and just yesterday there was another one out of order. Management needs to do better at repairing the machines in a timely manner.
The gym is huge and there is plenty of space to workout, even if you want to grab weights and hide in a corner. Staff is always friendly.

I received a message that I could upgrade to the Black Card free for a month, offer ending 2/16. I went on 2/13 and was told rudely by Katelin that I would have to come back after the 17th because they can’t upgrade between the 10th-16th because of billing, which made absolutely no sense, considering the offer was only valid 2/10-2/16. She had no customer service skills and treated me like an annoyance for trying to understand their policy. I can’t imagine treating anyone as poorly as she treated me. She was also extremely rude to the lady in front of me, who walked out mad telling her she needs to find a new job. I couldn’t agree more. Why would you allow someone like that to represent your franchise!? Reading through these reviews, proves this wasn’t a one time thing. Get rid of her!

Canceled my membership due to the girl with the black hair behind the desk. I don’t think I have ever seen a more rude staff. Like come on I got kicked out for having a gym bag with me. I was bothering no one and I only had it because they did not have locks. Membership canceled and now I’m at a better gym.

Quit this gym solely because of the staff. Joined and quit after 3 days because of terrible interactions with them. I also find it ironic also that their slogan is judgement free area while having a big sign and a siren labeling a “Lunk” as someone with a tank top carrying a gallon jug of water 🧐. It Sounds like you are allowed to be judgmental to some degree lol

Super clean and great equipment. The staff when I had visited was inattentive, on their phones and gossiping. I scheduled a tan and then the girl walked away. I went to ask again to see if there was an update and another girl was glued to her phone. I just walked out.

Staff is rude, specifically Kaitlyn with the long brown hair. Right off the rip when I signed up for a membership she was rude with me & my niece. And made sure to talk to me on multiple occasions (just from the front counter to the locker room to the leg machines with her nose in the air & the snobby look on her face.
go anywhere but here.

Nice gym though, equipment looks nice idk if it works got kicked out before I started my workout.

This is my favorite planet fitness! Although it has the same problem that every other PF has... Smith machines ALWAYS full! Treadmills are NEVER full, please get rid of some treadmills to make room for more smith machines! Always waiting for a machine along with the line of others waiting.

Terrible place, last time I went they kicked me out for no reason. One of the workers grabbed me by the throat and threw me on the ground and curbed stomped me. He was bald and had an accent so please be wary of him. Please fire that guy.

Joined again figured I would give it another chance. Every time I go I can't use a single machine I need. Everyone uses the bench press. Why do you only have 5? 50 people there all wanting the same machine. Ok I'll tan 1st. Oh 40min wait. Every time I go in its the same story. Maybe on a Saturday morning I can get lucky Wyeth the bench. Not with it. I work a 9-5 I can't go in early. I have a child can't go in later. They need to figure away to accommodate people. A time limit. No using the bench as a place to do curls or talk on your phone. They see people doing this and don't say a word. I really want a discount to be honest. I'm about to cancel.

Very rude staff. Half the time you sit forever waiting for them to even help and when they do they don’t seem very happy to help. Let’s not mention the fact a lot of people go there for tanning only and you can never tan because the tanning beds are always shut down! There has been problems with those beds for weeks and yet still nothing being done about it!! I will be calling corporate myself to see when that issue will be resolved because honestly it’s ridiculous.

The girl with the dark brown hair and septum piercing has no customer service skills. Anytime I visit planet fitness she looks as if she is completely miserable and doesn’t want to be at work(who really wants to be at work anyway?)she can at least be pleasant when spoken to, she comes off as annoyed any time I speak to her and I am tired of it. I work at a leasing office and yes, I deal with irrational people 24/7 but I still treat them with respect and show a smile. The tanning beds have been down and that’s totally understandable, there have been signs on the door to advise of the situation. Tonight how ever(9/11), I showed up to go tanning around 6:45pm and there was a sign on the door stating tanning would open up back up at 8 pm. I go inside to speak with someone to make sure what I was seeing on the sign was correct and a very sweet worker helped me(I believe her name is Ally, she has long blonde hair and glasses) and said to come back around 7:50pm-8pm as tanning would only be up for 30 minutes. I come back at 7:50 and I barley even get through the door and the girl with the dark hair and septum is immediately telling me tanning is down and completely clueless to the fact there is a sign on the door that says it will be open at 8pm. At least let me get to the counter girl. The reason I am giving planet fitness a 1 star is purely due to customer service. Ally and the older woman with dirty blonde hair are the only two workers who are enjoyable to speak with. I truly dread when I get to the counter and see the girl with dark hair bc I know she’s going have such snarky attitude to deal with. And a handful of the other workers are the same exact way. Don’t like your job? Find another profession, and stop being ugly to your customers who PAY to enjoy the services your company provides.

Very clean facility and nice equipment. I'm here on business and was impressed but my negative experience was the staff. Very rude when you are even polite to them. Thought they were just having a bad day but I have been here for a week now and they must be having a bad week I assume

Really nice PF. Spacious, modern equipment, clean. The Black Card amenities are beautiful with several rooms. The showers are large, bright, well lit with changing stalls! Grove City rocks!
