They have a lot of equipment. Lately though, some of the equipment has been down for extended periods of time. They have a statement on the wall about not judging other people, but then they have another statement that bashes people who dress a certain way and drink water out of gallon jugs. You just have to ignore the liberal double-speak I guess.

Very well equipped gym with an exceptionally helpful staff. All the machines and equipment are clean and in good condition. The overall vibe is perfect for getting in a great workout with no “meatheads” dropping weights or being disruptive.

Only used the tanning bed and massage chair, was my first time going to this location and the staff member was accommodating as far as informing me where everything that I needed was at. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because they did not have all of the amenities that my home gym does. They were missing one of the chairs that laskey has and on the screen log where you select what time slot and activity you want to do, the names of the chairs were different which threw me off a bit. Other than that it was clean, again staff was helpful and it appeared that the gym equipment was up to par and clean as well.

This is from a while back but seeing as a friend of mine had a negative encounter with this individual recently I felt the need to post. A while back I was minding my own business and hopped on a cable machine (I did not know it was being used since the individual was using a different machine) he walks up and pulls the pin to the cable allowing the weight to drop. I politely asked what his problem was and he went on a tangent about how I'm a bully for taking his weights and he would kick my ass. Mind you I'm a rather large individual and this was a tiny man. Napoleon energy if you catch my drift. So I go up to the desk and inform the manager Adam of the incident, then the small man is still in a rage asking if there's a problem while continuing to yell and curse at me. Adam seeing as he doesn't handle confrontation well thought it wise to tell us that we both needed to leave. It is important to note the small man claimed he was super setting which may have been true, but there were definitely other ways he could have went about it. I was told he was given a warning, but just be aware if you happen to come across a planet fitness member who is confrontational... management will handle poorly. Be friendly with the other gym members in case eye witness accounts are needed. It is alao important to note that after they reviewed camera footage, they "didn't really see what was going on."

On an early Sunday, morning in a mostly empty gym, I brought a complaint about people ignoring the rules in the 30 minute workout area, and making it impossible to properly utilize that area properly, to one of the 2 young workers who were idle at the desk
She informed me of the following:
1. "yeah, a lot of people complain about that."
2. They usually tell the customer to talk to the people about it themselves.
3. They have no way of knowing who is or is not following the rules.
and 4. There is nothing they can do about it.
They did say they would bring the matter up to management, so I guess customer service is not completely dead.

First of all, I've been a long-time member of Planet Fitness, and I absolutely love the place. It has helped me shed weight and, along with medical science, kept me alive. I started at the Southland location, then switched to the Holland location shortly after it opened because it's closer to my home in Swanton than Southland.

My complaints about PF are few, but a big one has just recently cropped up. We just recently got new treadmills and since the new treadmills have arrived, the overhead fans are simply spinning too darn fast. I joke among other members that the fans at PF have 4 settings: slow, medium, fast, and helicopter. Right now, they are spinning at the "helicopter" setting. I spend 10 minutes stretching my old bones and in one minute, the fan has me all tightened back up.

I know from speaking to other members, young and old, that they, too, aren't crazy about the speed of the fans. Other PF locations I've been to(roughly 10 or so) all have fans and none of them have the fans spinning at the supersonic speed. Because of the speed of the fans, I have had to switch my near daily walk on the treadmill to the Maumee location where I was happy to discover that the fans are set at the lowest setting on one and the medium setting at the other, just enough to move the air, but not so forceful that hurricane warnings need to be posted.

Anyway, long post about my gripe. I'm not sure it'll change things, but I hope it does. I already miss my favorite location and it's only been a little over a week. There's an old saying that states "the squeaky wheel gets the grease". Well, squeak squeak, squeak.

Just got kicked off a machine because someone wanted to use it and I kindly told the guy who wanted the machine I'll get off when I finish my sets. The male Karen then proceeds to tell the front desk I wouldn't be a slave to his demand and the the worker with short blonde hair made me get up. This has never happened so I am HIGHLY upset. So just warning you guys this location caters to Karen's who don't have patience to WAIT for a machine you JUST got on. I cancelled my membership due to not feeling safe, the discomfort and discrimination.

they did call twice to what I assume to try and rectify things. Appreciate the efforts but what's done is done. May consider coming back in the future but as of now I'm fine working out in the comfort of my own home.

I enjoy going to this gym. It's pretty chill and although I never talk to anyone they seem cool. I'm sure I do a lot of things wrong but I never feel judged and that's nice. Majority of the equipment has instructions on how to use it and the staff is always willing to help should you have any questions. Avoid this one of you can. This is one of these Toledo areas that won't let black card members from "other franchises" in the gym without putting all your personal info on a clipboard they have sitting on the counter. They want you to put way too much info on there. There really should be some kind of warning before driving here. This is ridiculous, they say I'd have to make one of these gyms my home location to be allowed in without filling out the clipboard.
That's outrageous. If I was going to switch, why would I switch to a franchise who doesn't care about members privacy?

The locker rooms and gym space are always super clean and I never have issues with equipment being broken. Adequate numbers of machines - even at peak times it's not too hard to find a machine to use. I feel very comfortable coming here.

So I'm going to be completely honest: I was avoiding coming here for a long time because I wanted to patronize a local business. That said, the local gyms nearby were, no exaggeration, dank pits of despair.

I'm looking forward to working out here more. I'm a little disappointed with the Smith machine v. free weights, but I'll live. The woman working the counter was very friendly even though I had just had an extremely negative experience with another gym and was in full rant mode.

Today is April 11, 2022 and wow, so the night staff is really rude. They do not greet and are not really friendly. I would ask questions because I signed up online and they were very short in answering them. It was my first time coming I and the whole sign up process the girl yelled my name to get my attention. I really enjoy the atmosphere and equipment at planet fitness. I would have rated 5 stars if they hadn’t changed their hours. Planet has always been my top choice because of their 24 hour access but they now close at 7 pm on weekends. Why? We have come too far past covid for it to be the excuse. I pay the same as I did for my membership 3 years ago and I cannot even use it with these new hours. It’s time to fix this!

Gym is always extremely well kept, not super crowded in the mornings. I left my AirPods unattended for a few hours (accidentally) called back up there and Alexis was sooooo helpful in finding them and holding them for me till the next morning. This is my favorite planet fitness in the area It is large (good for social distance) Clean and well maintained. Lots of parking as well. Would give them 5 stars but it is time for new equipment. Planet fitness has had the same basic equipment since 2005. Time for an upgrade.

Best place to work out for the price. Also open 24 hours a day 5 days a week most of them. My wife and I have never had a problem there. So many different workout stations/ machines. Any thing you need to workout they have. The price is the best part in my opinion. And they have deals on memberships often. Black card members for 24.99 a month get not only the workout areas and locker rooms but also the tanning and hydro bed/ massage chairs too. Also being a black card member you can go to any planet fitness in the country so you never miss out on your exercise. Me and my wife love Planet Fitness!
