Personally I think the gym is great , new equipment , and workers seem very friendly ! Parking lot can be a little bit of problem . Every business in Lakewood does ! But please , please fix the water fountain it has been like this since you have guys have opened ! Maybe put Dixie cups there so we all can get some water !

I was recording brief clips of my progress inside the gym (ensuring there was no one in the background of my video as the rules state) just in case I decided to post to social media. I was told by PF staff that I cannot record anywhere inside the gym. I politely asked if they could show me where the rules state that I cannot do so, they pointed out the fact that you can record inside the gym with some limitation (all of which i was in compliance with) except the fact that the individual franchise can restrict you from recoding if they want to. Since they did they displayed to me as a customer that they are not concerned with my satisfaction. I would have just left it alone after addressing it and not given such a low rating. But I continued to be polite and explained to them that I am a content creator. They repeated that they understand that i am “trying to make a living” I was finally able to explain that I am not getting paid, I am simply trying to educate. I was still going to leave it alone and just finish my work out. It wasnt till I walked out of the bathroom (private bathroom) and seen the same PF staff member standing by the door when I got uncomfortable and left the gym. There were other doors to other private bathrooms open and available so it was clear that he was not waiting for one them to open, he was very clearly standing outside the door listening (to see if I was recording) while I was using the restroom. When I opened the door he was about 2 foot away and walked very fast back to his desk. I will not be returning back to this gym.

Went at 1 on a Sunday and there was plenty of parking. I thought it was spacious and had nice updated equipment. The people working were really nice and friendly. I’m happy to have this convenient location, Fairview was feeling a bit far.

Love having this planet fitness close to home. Been waiting years for it! Parking lot is usually pretty full but ive found parking every time ive gone so no big deal. Plenty of equipment and machines and I honestly like that its not too big. Happy so far!

New PF, decent location, poor parking. I didn't see showers, just gender neutral restrooms to comply with Lakewood city requirements. UPDATE: The two rear restrooms have showers.
All the equipment looks new, this location has power racks with free weights so that is a nice surprise/upgrade.
Clean facility albeit a little small, friendly and courteous staff.
Don't be that super doosh in the power racks doing curls. There should be a sign up that states this.

Walked into this new location yesterday and was greeted by the General Manager Ben and his staff Angela and James. I immediately noticed the cleanliness of the front lobby as well as the proper organization and placement of the gym equipment. They have a safety comes 1st motto that Ben went over during our introduction.
I’m currently dealing with a few leg & back injuries recently sustained, and Ben suggested the Black membership which provides extra amenities including massage therapy, leg compression and hydrotherapy. James & Angela gave me a detailed tour of the Black Card Spa and patiently assisted me in proper use of the equipment. I highly recommend this Planet Fitness to any Lakewood residents and friends visiting from out of town!

This isn’t a perfect PF location, but it’s definitely not as bad (or lacking) as some of the reviews here would suggest.
First of all, the parking lot is small. That is true. But I’ve still been able to find a spot most visits. During peak hours, you might need to park on a side street or another lot. It’s not that bad. It’s Lakewood - that’s the drill.
Secondly, the are no locker rooms. That’s also true. It’s not a huge space, and they clearly made a sacrifice by prioritizing tanning booths and hydro-massage, etc.
HOWEVER, there are lockers to store your belongings. In addition, there are two restrooms, as well as two restrooms with showers in them. One can easily change in the shower rooms. It’s not that bad. And they’re rarely occupied.
As for the size of the gym, it’s not huge - but it’s not tiny either. And all the equipment is new and clean. It’s well-stocked with machines and they don’t feel packed in, for the most part.
The people working there are new, but they’re learning. They’re friendly. They’re fine.
Overall, for the low cost, it’s a great option for the low-maintenance gym user. And now that it’s in Lakewood, it’s close!
Ignore the drama queens in these reviews. It’s nice.

Holiday hours on the Thursday before the 4th of July? That's really weak. We pay to go to this gym. Can you please actually be open?

Update: finally made it in today. Not a great location. Not a lot of equipment. A couple things already broken and it just opened. And like somebody said below, no locker room. How is that possible? Why did Planet Fitness even let them open this location? Extremely disappointed.

Had my first visit today. Ben was incredibly friendly and helpful as I was figuring out how to use my Black Card. The gym is very clean and there's plenty of equipment.

I will say the parking lot is a bit on the smaller side, so pay attention to this if you are driving. You can check the crowd size on your app however and I went around noon on a Thursday and there was still room to park and plenty of space inside. There also is not a locker room on site so this is also a major factor if you are someone who needs to shower after a workout. If those two aren't dealbreakers this is a fantastic gym, and I look forward to returning!

Initially went to this location, the parking lot is so small that most spots were filled with only about 10 people inside. I just tried to go back and there is no parking, the lot is way too small and with most Lakewood residents parking on the street, parking is a nightmare. Great idea to have a location in Lakewood, terrible location with minimal parking.

Super clean and organized new space. Even though there are no private locker rooms, I find the lockers are super secure since they're right by the check-in desk that is always staffed, and they can be seen in the wall of mirrors, so your locker is always visible if you're on the equipment. Staff was super friendly and readily available if I needed anything. I love the crowd meter online, and find it's very accurate so I know when the best time is to visit the gym, since I usually like to visit with 10 or less people there.

Went there to checkout the gym and was told that they’re at a maximum capacity and I have to wait for someone to leave in order for me to go in. I basically drove there for no reason and wasted my time. The capacity states 178 people and there were less than 20 people in the gym. When I asked the front desk person (name was Zaina I believe) why I can’t go in, she said that they’re 115 people in there. I’m not sure what she’s smoking but there was definitely not 115 people in there. Anyways the gym looked much smaller compared to any other planet fitness I been to. If I was you, I wouldn’t sign up here because if they aren’t letting people go in when there is only 20 people then you can imagine how it would be during the rush hour plus the parking lot is extremely small.
