All in all its a great place to work out and tan. But just dont plan on taking a shower afterwards. They have the temp set on freezing and then the air conditioner blows right on you the whole time. Im not sure what they are doing setting their water to that temperature but it's unbearable

Hey truckers. Was able to park my tractor trailer here for 4 hours to work out and shower. Last time I was here I stayed overnight got there at 10:30 p.m. worked out in the morning and left. There also are rest stops 30 minutes away. Personal conveyance in do a short stay and leave. Please don't overstay your welcome. Place is great 😃

Planet fitness is always so clean and well kept! I lift about 5 times a week and am always satisfied with all the amazing features of the app, the black card membership, the tannng beds, massage beds, and all over the environment! Planet Fitness is really clean compared to a lot of other local gyms. The building is really well taken care of and you can recognize a lot of the staff even if you don’t go regularly or if they’re not in uniform and working out themselves. You never feel silly for asking simple questions because the staff is always ready to answer any question you might have.
I wanna update this review as I had to jump through hoops with this location lately. I moved 2500 miles away and am no longer near any Planet Fitness clubs. I called to cancel my membership and they told me I had to come in to the Lima location specifically. Obviously I couldn’t since I moved so they said I could email. I emailed and was told I had to call the same location that told me to email. I called and they said they’d cancel it. The following Thursday my membership fee came out along with another fee. I had to call my bank and explain this situation to them and the bank was very understanding that Planet Fitness does this to people, anything to prevent people from cancelling. I honestly would’ve stayed if I could’ve but I don’t have them near me anymore. Their behavior towards me wanting to cancel for only that reason alone gave me the ick. I would’ve been more sorry to leave if not for how they treated me when I didn’t wanna pay for something I couldn’t use anymore.

I didn't like the way they treated me. They never told me I couldn't bring a child. Today I brought my 7-year-old son so he could see them, and they didn't let me do any exercises. I had to leave the gym, very disappointed for my son. This is in Planet Fines, Wasteland.

Worked out here for multiple days in a row just for the dude at the front to tell me I need to bring in my ID when I’ve been there every single day for the past week atleast. I didn’t have my ID so I drove all the way there to work out before work, and the guy gatekept me even though I’m there every day. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend. Anytime fitness here we come!

I appreciate the fact that it is cheaper than my last fitness center, it is open 24 hours daily unlike my last fitness center (so I can never have the excuse that it was too late), there is a larger variety of equipment, there is a very friendly staff, and the atmosphere is encouraging to those who want to feel good about the positive choice they made to get in better health! Not only did they try to charge 80 plus dollars this month for an annual fee and my membership fee (I’d be ok with this if I had actually been there a year and not two months or included the annual fee when I signed up), but the equipment is poor and old, the staff never wipes down the machines during the day, customers never wipe the equipment down after use…the staff does nothing about it…the application and the gym itself is not ADA compliant. (In the shower for those with disabilities, it’s not big enough to fit a wheelchair) the showers are also terrible in that in the men’s locker room there’s no cold water just hot or hotter…the price is not worth the amenities either…

Why'd you have to replace the only good abdominal machine with 6 bad ones? I'm a small man which makes the 2 rigid crunch style abdominal machines suck to use as I either need the machine to be adjusted poorly causing back pain or I need the seat high enough my feet don't touch the ground making me need to "hug" the supports with my legs causing full body pain and giving me a bad workout. Then you have the 2 rope based abdominal machines which don't work out the lower half of my abs and require you to be able to jerk off a fat rope with twice the force of whatever weight you're trying to use (for me I'd have to be able to grip a flaccid girthy noodle with more than 130lbs of force). Then lastly we get to the 1 complex ab machine which works the same as the first 2 I listed except I can't hug the machine with my legs as the ABDOMINAL machine requires I lift the bottom half with the front of my upper leg. It's gotten to the point I just skip ab day entirely because the oblique rotation machine is the only one that works well and even then it's harder to use effectively than the almost identical (same machine but the old one held your chest straight, the new one relies on your arm strength to hold you in place) one they got rid of when they "updated" to their worse machines.

I would not recommend anybody tanning here at first it wasn’t so bad I didn’t quite like that you had to wait 24 hours in between tans so if you went at 3 o’clock one day the next day you would have to wait till 3 o’clock or later and that was already kind of inconvenient but now they’ve added that they only schedule every 30 minutes once you get here so if you get here to tan at 12:07 you have to wait until 12:30 To tan they only scheduled you every half an hour so if you get here at 12:33 you have to wait until 1 o’clock to tan Regardless of how many beds are open I’m currently sitting here waiting to tan and I’ve been here since 1235 and I had to wait until 1 o’clock and all the beds are open it makes no sense

It is a great place to improve your body and mind. I highly recommend any age group. The staff is very friendly, especially Paul he goes beyond just showing up for work. I have been there for over a year, and Mr. Paul makes sure every cleaning station is fully stuck. Very friendly, sorry. I hate doing this, but we never uplift the workers at an establishment. So far, I've only had good experiences of PF facilities. The equipment is tidy and seems to be clean. Everyone I've met is considerate and polite to others in the club. I took a guided sessions with James the trainer; it was really helpful and fun to workout with other people.I want to lose weight and build muscle, and I'm socially anxious and self-conscious working out in public. So I'm new to this but I'm glad I can rely on PF any hour of the day to overcome this.

Been using this location since I got into town. Traveling blue collar worker. Gym is as expected but for over two weeks now NO HOT WATER! One of the perks of having a black card is knowing I can go anywhere workout and get a hot shower. This location cannot say if/when the hot water will be fixed and it’s ridiculous. I’ve been a member for well over 5yrs and NEVER have I been to a location without hot water! Planet fitness should be giving some credits to people’s accounts that have scanned in at this location! If/when hot water is fixed may update rating but for now it’s a negative situation

Clean and well maintained gym with red light, massage, beds, etc. Open 24/7. Cheapest way to use showers when necessity arises. I am deducting 1 star for the cleaning spray. These chemicals are dangerous and sprayed all over everything. We are probably getting cancer breathing this in.. a safer solution of perhaps vinegar or hydrogen peroxide would be appreciated

Im willing to drive an hour round trip, 3x a week, I love it here so much. I feel safe and comfortable. I know I'm in a great environment where I can do my best. The workout equipment choices are epic! And the membership is cheap! (Classic member, considering the upgrade to Black Card!) The locker rooms are always clean and the water is hot. Had a kind of bumpy start on my first visit. Didn’t get the attentiveness to have a tour that I would have liked given I was new to this location. Few other minor amenities issues also. Left a review in the app and was really pleasantly surprised to see that someone actually read it and addressed ALL of the concerns on the next visit ! How often does that happen?? Lohr, who worked at the front counter, did an over and above job fixing my concerns and questions. Gave me some pamphlets to indicate less busy times; trainer availability and new member orientation. Great customer service!

I am a truck driver with the black card membership. I called ahead to see if I can park my semi there to workout and stay parked overnight for my 10 break. They were fine with it and didn’t get bothered all night. The staff was excellent and very accommodating to this out of towner. Will visit again when the time comes. Also McDonald’s and Dunkin Donuts right there for coffee in the morning.

Update-March 2024- I’ve returned and all is the same. I used the showers this time and they were clean, hot and fairly good pressure. Overall another good experience here. Thumbs up 👍👍

You can also get 50% off on drinks too. I have the black card membership one had since 3/8/2018. Go on the Planet Fitness webpage look or you can call them too. The staff is very friendly n helpful. There are many more awesome things about Lima PF for the main card holder. The facility is clean and well kept up the restrooms locker room and showers are always clean I say if you're looking for a gym this is your place. While the staff is nice, I REALLY wish this Lima, Ohio location would 1) limit the amount of “cleaning stations” every 10 feet that just leads to fools spraying chemicals all over the place. Virex II 256 is the “disinfectant” they use. This product must stay on a surface for 10 mins to do anything (so nobody is really cleaning anything) , and secondly, it’s harmful as hell. It’s a corrosive that causes skin and breathing issues to thousands a year. Customers at Planet Fitness would be better off taking their chances with Covid or whatever than spraying this poison all over the place and breathing it in, or touching it. At real gyms, a staff member makes rounds every 45-60 mins and wipes equipment down. Having poison, accessible to all the customers running around to spray and squirt every few mins is far more dangerous than any “germs” that exist. And 2nd….is Planet Fitness now a daycare? Why is there 100 teens & tweens in there at all times? These children running around playing tag in there also like to spray each other with the poison bottles of “disinfectant” that actual customers there to workout get to breathe.
