Iโve had a membership at planet fitness for over ten years and come maybe 5 times at most per year! Came today and 13 of the 30 bulbs in the total body enhancement bed are out! I hate this place and will be cancelling my membership if itโs not fixed in a reasonable amount of time. This Lorain/Amherst location is worst than Elyria!

It's a gym! It's usually too cold in there. People wearing hoodies to workout in because they have the fans going. Makes it harder to work up a sweat. And it takes you longer to get warmed up

I really wanna take a moment to commend two of the ladies that work at this location. I know one is the manager, KP, and another is a regular employee. There was a young girl who experienced a seizure and a head injury while on the treadmill. These two ladies were calm and helpful and did everything they could to support the girl and those of us helping. I really admired their quick and calm response. Knowing their staff did everything they could to help in crises was really commendable. Shout out to the manager and employee, you did something great today.

But close early Friday at 9pm, close Saturday at 7pm and close Sunday at 7pm so that's only 4 days they are legit open 24 hours. Where's the 5th day?! And to boot it's packed at closing time thus justifying they need to expand hours.

The worst PF experience I've ever had! I have never been to this specific location but I WILL NOT be returning. All I did was come in to go tanning and the staff was too busy talking to each other to direct me in the right direction. Once I figured out how to sign in, I waited 10 minutes AFTER my scheduled time before I had to ask someone if I was just supposed to pick a random bed and the girl told me someone was cleaning it. So I continued to wait another 10 minutes, nobody assigned me a bed or asked how long I needed or anything. So I left. The entire staff just seemed too busy "hanging out" and talking to even acknowledge the customers. This is not what I pay $25 a month for! Super unprofessional!!

I recently found out that they do classes that are free signed up for a few. I had the trainer Laura each time. Sheโs absolutely great. Iโm not a big gym person so having someone there teaching you the techniques and giving you motivation is very helpful. Definitely gonna sign up for more classes.

Weโve been members here for over a year nowโฆnot the best PF I have been to also not the worst PF. The weight machines are older and seem to break a lot and be out of service. Often repairs take weeks. Staff can be quite defensive when a problem is brought to their attention, almost feel guilty saying anything. Otherwise, friendly enough. Cleanliness good.

The facility is nice and staff are OK. I canceled my membership and 1 week later they charged me again saying that I canceled after the 10th of the month so I had to pay another $25. I paid the previous month which went until the 16th of this month but I canceled on the 12th. The week before!. Enjoy the $25 dollars Planet Fitness because you just lost what could have been a return customer. Nice racquet you guys have going on.

The employees are the worst. Their attitude towards customers is terrible. and they love to create "rules" that only they know. Although thinking about it perhaps it is discrimination for being Latina and of color. I don't know. I didn't feel comfortable there at all. Recently, several of the paper towel stations have been empty. I want to do my part to prevent the spread of germs. Also, I'm suspect that the cleaning agent is now just water, or significantly (to the point of non effectiveness), watered down sanitizer.

The treadmill machines are disappointing. They do not have a fan and do not surpass 999 steps. The 999 just sticks. Sometimes the belts drag on treadmills. I went in today, (and yes I understand it is cold out, but if you workout right, you will sweat), and none of the fans were on.

Where are the free PF pens? Free eye protection for tanning? Vintage coin machine massage chairs, really need to be updated. I know that they are privately owned however, visit other PF's for some updated ideas to bring in new members. Change is good. (Except for the massage chairs!Lol!)

A lot of broken machines/ services constantly. If you want to exercise on the barbell it is possible at 5 am maybe because any other time there is a carousel of big friend groups that โsave โ barbell for the rest as they finish up on other machines and โhand โ it over to them. People just sit, chill and play on the phones on barbell bench until their homies are ready for barbell. They must have a subscription that others donโt know about! Yeah sad place

This place is ok. The workers are friendly and keep things clean. However, there are 2 huge complaints that affect my opinion. I wish I lived closer to another PF. [1] WiFi is atrocious. My phone is only a $130 BLU phone. I donโt have 5 gig capability on this phone. I only have 2 gig (while not as fast, should provide stronger signal at further distance). I have no problems whatsoever in my home. However, internet connection goes in and out while at PF Amherst - even when there are as little as 15 people in the building.
This means Iโm required to use my cell phone data for fit bit sync and songs not already downloaded. I have mentioned this to the workers. One told me they have been looking into the issue. He said he knew there was a problem. Another said he didnโt know there was a problem. He said his phone is fine (didnโt know if he was using 2 or 5 gig).
[2] Out of 4 stair steppers, they are always going DOWN. I donโt remember a time when all 4 worked. I also recommend they be separated so COVID reduction distancing can be maintained if more than 1 user are on them.

This place can get really filthy. Like hair balls and dust balls rolling around, crust formed on the sinks and water faucet, and black dirt coating medicine balls/mats/hand grips. Please get a proper cleaning crew in there regularly. COVID YALL!!
Sometimes they don't turn the fans on and you are stuck smelling the sweaty armpit smell along with the heat. VERY unpleasant.

This planet fitness needs a thorough cleaning. The stretch area matts need tossed as they are so filthy and tattered. The yoga balls need a good scrubbing. ALL stair machines are broken and I noticed another machine was broken and mentioned to staff who said they knew but didnโt have anymore OUT OF SERVICE signs. Oh my!
The showers are very nice and therefore gave three stars and not two.
