The gym has an excellent location, the parking area is spacious, and it’s always very clean. Even though it’s smaller than other Planet Fitness locations, it has everything you need, and I’m very happy with this place.

I just have one suggestion as a cyclist: you have four advanced bikes with screens that look like racing bikes, but none of them allow you to measure your effort (power, resistance, accurate calories, etc.).
If these machines could work at 100%, it would be perfect for those of us who love cycling and spinning.

My wife and I stopped in this morning and we were not treated well at all. The manager on duty 11/13/25 @ approximately 10 am harassed us over my wife not wanting her picture taken because she had just gotten off work. ( She’s a traveling embalmer who had just embalmed an entire family of 6 and had to go to the home to the mother/wife and tell her that her family was gone) so she wasn’t prepared to give a photo. She asked if she could after her workout and shower so she looked decent. The manager then gets irate and accuses us of not caring about his kids. He was stating that if she didn’t take a picture that she wouldn’t be allowed in and that he could lose his job if something happened. He kept saying that we were giving him a hard time and he kept saying we didn’t care if he lost his job and couldn’t pay his bills etc. All of this over wanting a photo of someone who politely asked for a couple hours to gather herself. We completely understand there are rules. But I will not tolerate this kind of behavior from a manager! We’ve been members of PF since 2015. This is not how things should be handled. Do better PF!

I was a memeber at this location for about 5 months. I just canceled it because of their tanning beds. They said they just changed their bulbs in the stand up bed. I went in it for 10 minutes and never got anything color at all. From experience I've had gone to beds at other locations when the bulbs just got changed and got color from their beds. I've also tried their other beds and no luck. Wish they would buy premium bulbs. I did try their water beds and the gym. This is why I have them a 2 star.

This gym was my home gym back in 2018 and 2019 but I canceled my membership because it got filthy. Now my home gym is Springboro but because they are not open 24/7 I had to come in tonight and the gym for the most part is clean but the #1 hydro massage has an awful raw sewage smell coming from the bottom of it. I dont think the water is being replaced regularly. It ruined my entire workout. I'm going to work my schedule around the springboro hours so I don't have to come back to this one. Hopefully they will be 24/7 soon.

Friendly workers. The gym looked relatively clean when I walked in. The locker room was clean until you got into the shower. The pressure and temperature were spot on, but there was a strange smell, and I noticed there is actually mold growing in the grout, and I don't think they clean the bottom of the wall. There is a 3 inch flith ring around the base of the shower room.

Over the years, I have been a member of other gyms. This one is definitely my favorite. Very clean and well managed. Tanning beds and rooms are very well kept. Membership has a great advantage for my wife and me, considering we travel across the country in an RV and have used many Planet Fitness during our travels. I must be honest concerning other Planet Fitness locations. There have been a few with less than quality management skills and atmosphere. So, this review is mainly the Middletown location. I highly recommend it!

I've been to many planet fitness across the country. Over all this place would get more stars. But, my experience here was an unpleasant. Mostly due to the fact that someone broke the lock of my locker and stole off with my wallet. I had to personally call and file a police report. I really wish it was monitored more. Too many guests hang out on the machines in there not rotating. Beyond that, it is a good gym if you have more than 30 minutes...

Very nice Planet Fitness. If you drive an 18-wheeler, you can't park overnight as the damage others Truck drivers have caused and bad attitude. Soured the mall owner to us parking overnight. However it is possible to come in early in the am between 1am and 6am. To work out. Not stay. Park on the dark pavement in front of PF as far as you can away from the front doors so as not to be in the way.

I want to say right from the start, that the Planet Fitness staff is very friendly and profession. But I can’t believe that they allow Steve’s towing company to harass their customers who are parked out on the lot. Planet Fitness is the only tenant in the completely abandoned Towne Mall. When hard-working semi drivers simply want to stop and exercise, and they are parked well away from the normal Planet Fitness customer area, there should be no reason that they are harassed and threatened in this way.

Stopped here with a pick up and utility trailer and lot patrol told me I couldn't park here. Called to talk with the manager to let them know their customers are being run off and waited for over 15 minutes on the phone, however no one took my call.

Change the HOURS, it is/ was supposed to be a 24 hour gym. I work very long shifts at my job, and their hours now make it difficult for me to work out or to tan. Fix it, surely to God you make enough money to put it back to 24 hours every day/ or keep it open until 1 am or 2 am, including the weekend, NOT 7 PM. If it doesn't get fixed I'm just gonna go to quit going there altogether. The hours SUCK!

First time visit. First impression. Friendly attentive staff. Equipment in good shape except hydro lounge #1 overheated and cut my massage short and massage chair #1 sounded like it was breaking when it reclined. TV monitors are on some of the cardio equipment- not overhead. Facility was clean. Showers and changing rooms were clean and roomy. Overall nice club. Black Card is totally worth it to have full benefits at any PF in the country as we travel.

I mainly have a membership here to tan and going in the afternoon is a complete joke. Despite the fact that the maximum time is 12 minutes, all 4 times I went I waited 25+ minutes. I went today after work and waited 30 minutes only for the bed to have an error message on it and can't start. You'll never get a time on when you'll get in besides "it's gonna be a few" as you sit there and watch them chat up their friends instead of getting a bed ready. Also they only have like 3 goggles with a band on it which has to be some kind of hazard. If you're gonna tan, do it in the morning because after 3 it just becomes a circus with nothing but clowns in there

Dalton and some of the staff are unfortunately scummy and have lied to us a few times regarding our membership being cancelled. I’ve stopped in multiple times to confirm cancellation of membership over 3 consecutive months and each time I was assured they had cancelled my membership only to be charged again and again. The staff then pretends to not know how a cancellation is done and keeps telling me to come back at a later time. Dalton also personally avoided me and the issue and doesn’t seem like he cares. Only cancelled the original membership because this location is dirty and ill kept. Shame. Franchise owner should be ashamed at this location

Nice little gym. It's smaller than other Planet Fitnesses but have almost everything you need. There was a few machines I was looking that they didn't have but I managed. Everything was clean and the help was always busy cleaning and helping customers.
The biggest complaint I have is that you have to bring your own lock for the little lockers in the workout area.
Most Planet's have a combination built into the locker. But other than that I have no complaints.

I was in town visiting a friend and we went to the planet fitness in middletown ohio where i was refused service as they said my back up source of payment was expired however my checking acct where they draw my monthly payment was not and i even showed them where they just took my monthly payment out. It did not matter he still refused service to me and said i had to get it straightened out in the bartlesville store where i was from. He gave me a phone number to call while i was there and it was all automated so i could not speak to anyone. My friend and I both left. Needless to say we were both hot! Im not 100 percent but i think it was a manager that refused me service!

The gym is a nice place and worth the money. Just one thing. Before you sign up, you should understand the terms. When I joined, I wasn't sure if I would use the guest privilege that comes with the black card. I explained that my wife and I might both want to come but we're not sure. I was told that I could just downgrade to the $10 monthly plan if we wanted and it would not be a problem. This was not ALL of the
information . If you downgrade, you HAVE TO pay the startup fee for that plan. This was not made clear to me at that time. I sincerely hope PF reads this review and understands the importance of passing along this information to potential customers. It would save a lot of aggravation. NOT JUDGEMENT FREE. My name is Sherri Bailey and I used the tread mill for about 45 to 1 hour and felt shaky so I stopped and the workers all gathered at the front desk. They were all young and they were making fun of me for stopping. I'm almost 65 and just getting started in fitness. I felt ashamed and just left. I went back 4 or 5 times and each time it was the same thing. I noticed that most people went straight to the back to e xerise out of sight.

My two parents got memberships to this certain gym a while ago. The first incident we had with this gym was when my mother and me went in to work out. Mind you we had not gone for a long time but had decided to go because we felt motivated and just wanted to have a good workout. We walked into the gym and went up to the front desk to check in. The young teenage woman working seemed nice until she scanned my mother's card. She looked up and in a passive aggressive tone said, "haven't been here in a while, have we?". The sheer audacity of this woman to judge us when all we were trying to do was work out is crazy. This comment made my mom and me just want to go home instead of what we originally planned to do. People don't realize how negatively a comment can affect someone. At least we were trying instead of sitting at home again. We ignored her rude comment and went in to work out in a so called 'judgement free zone'.
The second incident was when my dad went in to work out alone. He went to the front desk to check in. A young teenage male was working this time. After scanning my dad's card, he also made a snarky remark. He said "huh, 167 days since your last visit, it's been a while." All my dad wanted to do was have a good workout, not to get judged. It is not their job to judge their customers, only to scan their card and let them in. This gym goes on and on about how it is a 'judgement free zone' but their literal workers are judging their customers, the people that literally keep the gym open. My mother doesn't even want to go in again because she hates getting judged and is scared another bratty worker will say something rude. I don't understand why people feel the need to say something. My poor parents are just trying to make heathier habits, but these stupid workers are bringing their motivation down. Nobody knows what anybody else is going through so there is no need to be rude. Also, my parents are the ones paying for their membership, so they get to decide when they want to go and how long they want to stay, it is none of the worker's business.

I have been coming here for two years and staff has always been wonderful. Always clean and friendliest people working out. However the new gym hours are very difficult for so many. It would be nice if they could have the 5am open on weekends like other gyms. It’s hard to drive 30 minutes to farther gym to get my workouts in and many others the same , there are at least 20 of us who faithfully come at 4-5am . Not convenient especially when staff on weekends is here at 6 and stands while watching all the people in parking lot waiting. I will say we were apples by staff coming in hour early to let us in. But to still be here for regulars and then just stand at desk watching and doing nothing while making many wait is frustrating . Other than that best gym I’ve been to in area . Newer staff is young and less social which is a bummer. And no trainers.

I have been coming here for a year now and I gotta say as a person bound to a wheelchair it's not always handicap friendly. I love going because it's the only thing that helps my mental health. But since I been going I have asked the staff to adjust placement of the trash cans so I can reach the paper towels and have even gone out of my way to move them. Every time I come in the next day they move them back so I can't reach the paper towels. Now today when they have been having a water flow in one of their bathroom stalls for months (literally the only stall I can use) is now out of order... Because of a water flow problem that won't stop. So now until they fix that, and they don't know when that's going to happen as they have yet to apparently call about it, I can't go to the gym and I wasted a trip getting to the gym just to turn around and come home. Not related to the bathroom I have even popped a tire being in there before and had to leave with a flat from metal shards being on the floor from the machines. I don't even want to get started on their subscription system either! All I have to say is if you have a place that big with that many showers I think we can add one more handicap stall... Ya know for the people who are handicap not the insecure people who need extra space to poo!

Re-edit- I was just charged over $70 today for my monthly and annual fee. No idea what's going on with this location but tonight I just found out planet fitness being open 24 hours, 5 days a week is purely false advertising. They close at 9 pm Monday to Friday. That's not 24 hours. I was already a little upset they closed at 7pm on weekends but now they're no longer open 24 hours hours at all? They literally have "open 24/5" plastered on their front windows. Purely false advertising.

I work out when convenient and Planet Fitness is open when it's convenient. Plenty of equipment to use. Never too busy.

The tanning beds are super 🔥! It's a great incentive to work out and tan. The customer service is top notch. The best one around. I've been to others up North and wasn't impressed. Middletown location is definitely where it's at!
