The women working tonight, 10:00 pm date is 10/22/25 and I was confronted by a women who was very upset and asked me to explain why my tanning bed pillow was messed up and wonder why PF did not put destructive on my account. I clean up after myself and I donate when I can to PF charity and I do fitness classes and pay a lot of money for my black card. Why would she come at me like that ? For the employees information I was trying to fix the pillow. I have long hair that I have to de tangle from thangs sometimes and I was trying to get my hair out of the pillow and tried to put it back together ... Since ur EMPYEE came at me over a pillow and saying she's surprised I'm not listed as destructive then cancel my black card. Cancel my fitness classes too. None of the employees are Karen's tords me but her over the cover not being put back on right. Was she allowed to come at me like " hay u rember that day you came in tanning, do u rember what happened why the cover of the pillow was not put on right " like I was a child.... Saying she's surprised I'm not destructive on my profile. Left crying because I suffer with OCD. I excessively clean ... I would never make thangs messy... I try to fix thangs and clean

This planet fitness doesn’t like truckers they called the towing company on me and almost cost me $600. I am now canceling my account with planet fitness I thought they were the only gym around that allows semi truck drivers to work out but I guess we’re hated around the country. We can’t even keep ourselves in shape. Now we can’t park. We can’t breathe and we can’t even make a living to feed our families without getting charged money for it so now I’m boycotting planet fitness nobody likes us, but when it comes time to your gym equipment and all your necessities to be hauled, you guys don’t seem to have a problem with it then you loved us in Covid now you’re back to hating us

“Judgment Free Zone”… Unless They Don’t Like Your Message

I’ve been a member here for almost two years with no issues. One day, after a single complaint about a shirt I wore, staff confronted me and said it violated their dress code...even though my shirt broke no written rule.

Here’s the problem: management admits they’ve had multiple complaints about obvious dress code violations: ripped-up shirts, overly revealing clothing... yet chose not to act in those cases. My shirt didn’t violate their written policy; they acted on a subjective opinion instead.

This is selective enforcement....deciding which messages are acceptable and which aren’t. That’s not neutral policy, it’s viewpoint control. If it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone.

Planet Fitness promotes a “Judgment Free Zone.” Unfortunately, at this location, that promise seems optional.

Every Saturday and Sunday morning for the last month and a half everyone is waiting outside for 30 minutes to an hour for the gym to open because they don’t show up on time. Other locations have at least two people working, which would avoid this. Not only is that as a concern to have one person working most of the time, including at night, but it’s a customer service issue.

I love this place! I especially love their massage chairs! The best I've seen from all the other PF. The only thing I wish to change is for them to have the standing tanning rooms but other than that, everything else is amazing! Staff are always friendly and greet you with a smile on their face. Very interactive with clients and helps with any needs and answers questions to the best of their abilities. Wish I could give more then a 5 star rating.

Clean, relatively new, plenty of machines, but worst staff of any of the half a dozen I've ever visited.

Theres no order to any of the scheduling (at least in the evenings) for the amenities you pay extra for. Sign up for something that starts at 7, you may get it at 7, 705 or 715. And they dont tell you its your turn to go. It's a mystery. There's no point to having a schedule if you can't maintain it. Front desk is uninterested in this at best, unless you're one of their friends from school who apparently spend all night around the front desk loitering.

It's fine if you have no real schedule for the evening or if you're just there to use the basic membership for the equipment. Skip the black card extras at this location especially if you go in the evenings.

It's really disappointing that I can't enjoy my workouts because some people selfishly make my time at the gym about them. They stare at me as if I'm there for their entertainment. It's sad that this behavior was allowed to continue to the extent that it did. The gym advertises itself as a "judgment-free zone," but my experience suggests otherwise. I've never felt so disrespected in my life. I have never felt more uncomfortable at Planet Fitness than at any other gym in the United States

Great location. Was visiting Newark for a week and was able to get a few great workouts in. For fellow CrossFit fanatics, there wasn’t all equipment needed for every type of WOD (I couldn’t find kettlebells, no boxes for box jumps, or pull-up bars) but there’s a great amount of equipment to get most lifts and cardio movements in. Worth it, day passes last for 24 hours too!

I love the Newark Location because it is super convenient and clean, and the staff is the best! Without a doubt, one of the gems of this location that makes me want to keep coming back is a trainer named Taylor Friend! He is one of the most selfless and caring trainers I have ever met, and his knowledge is astounding. He has helped me improve physically in a multitude of ways that have drastically improved my day-to-day life, and I truly feel like he cares, and believes in me. Quick note about my experience at Planet Fitness. Staff is super friendly, and the whole place is always clean. It is very large with a good variety of weight systems. Maybe not the place for the loud power-lifting crowd, but they do have a free weight area if wanted.

This Planet Fitness is smaller than the location I used to go to, which was quite an adjustment. The equipment all feels outdated & is outdated compared to other locations. I wish there was more room for free weights & the squat machines here…it just feels like you’re constantly on top of other members when you’re trying to work out. I wish that there was less cardio equipment & more room for benches, smith machines, etc…other locations I’ve been to have a lot more room for people. This location just always feels crowded no matter the time of day. Other than that, this PF is decent.
