The place often looks busy. But there are always open machines and free space. Plus everyone is friendly and there is always someone willing to demonstrate the equipment. I find this gym to have a supportive (clean) environment.

It has been a few years since I had been to the gym so I was nervous about coming here. However the staff is so friendly and I really look forward to my workouts now. I met with the trainer, Alex, and he was very nice and helped put together an fitness program.

Ive been to a handful of planet fitness locations and this one stands out. I understand they have to have rules and regulations when it comes to workout attire and how to use machines but this location takes it to a new level. At this location managers target the younger gym users when it comes to enforcing rules. It seems to me that there trying to drive the youth out by enforcing everything they can on them and letting everyone else get away with breaking rules. I understand sometimes this is necessary but blatantly choosing who and who not to speak with is absurd. I’ve witnessed people be flat out told to leave with no warnings over dress attire when 3/4 of the gym has nearly identical outfits on. I could understand if this was a one time occurrence but it has continued to go on for a while now. I used to love this gym but I can’t stand for the mistreatment of others.

Annual fee is pretty predatory and greedy. Zero reminder or warning. Even if you tell them you need it for gas and food for the week until pay day which is 4 days from now in which I will be charged an overdraft fee as well putting me even further back. If you cancel you ought to be able to get that back. A company as large as this one can afford to give people back the money they were going to use to eat. Very sick practice. And no food gas and an overdraft fee causes a horrible domino effect but there’s no way they can refund me my money for a senseless fee? If there were at least a reminder or warning after A YEAR I’d be more forgiving but it’s full on predatory. Paid my bill every month on time, it was an affordable $10, I hadn’t even used it in over a month. Never will return nor recommend. The whole annual fee thing and no refund even as an emergency override is too weird to me.

Seems to be clean. A lot of teenagers just hanging around the machines just talking. Couldn’t tell u if staff is friendly or not. They have never said hi or bye to me always on their phones or just busy talking amongst themselves.

The gym is pretty decent but the owner is rude and brings his dog in. His dog is fairly well behaved but she runs around and gets in the way sometimes. I almost dropped weights one day because she came up to me to sniff and I'm terrified of dogs because I was attacked when I was little. Dog aside, the owner is pretentious and rude. And kinda creepy, the way he looks at girls.. dude takes up one machine for 45 minutes.. and if you talk to him, he just scoffs like your subhuman. Cancelled membership.. going to another gym.

This summer pass for kids has turned into the new hangout spot and daycare for kids. Don't waste ur money going here because ur not going to get on any of the machines that are worth paying for. My husband and I have been members since 2019 and now we are looking for a new gym to attend. The children should be limited to only so many at a time I'm paying to be there and to actually workout. When there's 100+ kids running around in their pajamas and flip flops hanging off the tops of the machines like it's a jungle gym, I've had enough. 50% of the staff are great and the other 50% have the worst attitudes which I've talked to a manager about. They've had a water leak for about 6 months with trash cans underneath em in the middle of the floor, water dripping down the TV and plastic hanging from the ceiling. No paper towels in the clean up stations majority of the time. The little things I've looked passed until now because again IM PAYING TO WORKOUT, and can't because it's now the kids hangout spot.

Amazing gym and the hours are amazing. Some people have no manners but with the current state of the U.S.A that’s to be expected. Friendly staff , very clean facilities, and just a great price.

People will talk a lot and crowd around machines but all in all it’s a great place!

Now all the fake "summer body" fitness experts are invading. Around 5pm is when everyone starts coming in and let me tell you these people have tons of free time that they sit on machines talking for hours.
The triceps machine is a wonderful hang out spot and the benches as well.

Staff is friendly, too friendly. They are too busy talking to other people rather than cleaning the dirty bathrooms or replacing the empty paper towel dispensers. They just want to do nothing all day and it's like that for both night and evening shift. I know this cuz I'm here 4-6 days a week for the past 3 weeks. I needed my car jumped to go home to get ready to go to work and they said it was "against company policy" and just kept talking to other people just to get out of work, even the manager / AM was in on it. They practice a "service with a smile" when it's merely a service for themselves and themselves alone. Asked around the gym for other people beforehand and nobody was willing to help either. Hoping fresher and more genuine faces find their way in the location so that way nobody has to go through anything like this again

I have not been coming for too long, but I have been coming long enough to note a few things.
1) Morning staff is very nice; however, there is a man who comes in at maybe 6:30 and puts all of his belongings on ONE specific elliptical. This man leaves these items, sometimes 20 minutes, but I have timed it up to 42 minutes before he actually gets on the machine. I understand there are other machines but this is absolutely absurd. Some people prefer one machine to another, or have to get on next to someone when they should be able to use the machine not in use! I have seen one person bring it to the staff’s attention, but no one does anything. Can’t you tell this man there are lockers for a reason? I see someone else left a review about people hogging machines, so this should be taken care of in my opinion.
2) The machines are generally clean, but the smell in that building is awful. It’s not sweat either. It’s sewerage smell.
3) Paper towels constantly empty yet 4 people are working. Do hourly checks or something.
4) On a positive note, as I said, staff is generally kind and friendly. The locker rooms are kept clean. Machines are typically clean and accessible.

If elliptical man stops hogging the same machine every morning, I’ll update my review for sure because this bothers me the most of it all. It’s just absolutely absurd and inconsiderate. When you reach a certain age, the machine closest to the door is convenient. It would be nice to be able to pop in and go on this one. But also it’s not about being able to get on this machine. It’s just simply rude.

The gym is clean and orderly. The equipment all seems to be in good repair. The only downside, one I feel can easily be fixed, is the shower room can get dangerously slippery. Perhaps large rubber mats can be installed? I'm a man so I don't know the condition of the ladies' showers or restrooms.

Love the gym, everything is always in working order, it's always clean, and the staff is always professional and pleasant. The only downside is that everyone else also likes and takes full advantage of a decent gym. Sometimes, it's super busy and almost annoyingly full. Speaks volumes about the gym though. The team at this location in Niles Ohio is literally second to none. From management down to the the representatives is the standard for giving members a amazing experience... There are alot of planet fitness through out the country as I been to many and in my personal opinion Niles location is in a class of their own. Really nice gym. The employees are really cool and laid back. The people who go here to work out are always chill and respectful; almost every time I visit, there is a door holding competition at the entrance LOL everyone always holding the door open for one another. And this PF recently got a bunch of new equipment, which was definitely a motivation booster. For sure worth paying for a membership to go here.

quality has gone far down hill. they have shrunk the amount of equipment. stuff takes forever to get fixed. the new location, which they have been at now for over a year still leaks anytime it rains. the parking situation is atrocious. when equipment breaks they dont replace they throw it out. since the new location is so much smaller too now, youll never be able to use the equipment you want because they dont have the space or capacity for it now. expect it to stink in tbe summer like mildew and a sewage back up that never seems to be addressed either. not worth the low month cost. I will say the saff I see there regularly are genuinely friendly nice people but the owner could do a better job with the actual gym.

apparently if you ask someone to quit talking on their phones while on the treadmill, management doesnt have the balls to stop them.. they keep doing what they are doing and scold me... or it might be other reasons they did not stop him... ahemm..... 3 guesses - the first two dont count........either way people get away with what they want. while your other customers have to listen to someone blabbing on their speaker phone...

Pretty good gym overall. Has everything you need for a good workout and all the machines are usually up and running properly. The staff seems nice. I like how there are cleaning stations everywhere. What is lacking is the woman's bathroom/locker room/changing area. First of all you have all these cleaning stations with paper towel rolls throughout the whole gym yet in the bathroom you only have the electric air dryers. Can we get a freaking paper towel stand in the women's restroom please? And the only garbage can is out in the locker area there's not even one by the sinks in bathroom area?. And it's terrible trying to use the automated sinks because forget about trying to wash your face or anything. The sinks are always wet I would never want to wash my face in one of those sinks or try to attempt to put makeup on. They really need to update and find a better system in there.

The machines are not well maintained. There are 4 row machines, 3 which do not work and was verified by the personal trainer as not functional, and 1 row machine that does work, when they have the parts for it. Another example is the lack of signage when a machine is broken. Rather than indicating the machine isn't working the customer has to figure it out, then ask a team member and still no signage is put on the machines. I asked to spend my account because the lack of decent machines and respect. This is really the worst PF I have visited. They spent money to make the bathrooms nice but the machines, the staff and the crowded inside space is less than desirable. The staff is friendly but not knowledgeable and tend to dismiss customers to have personal side conversations.
