my review has been deleted 5+ times about the manager, Dan, who used my file at the gym to ask me questions about my gym habits (stalking which locations I go to) and looked up my first and last name to send me flirty text messages AND A PHOTO ON SNAPCHAT (I never opened it) on social media despite being 20 years older than me. what 40-50 year old man has snapchat?!

he gave me a fake interview where he stared at me like a freak and complimented my body multiple times, said “he shouldn’t say this but…” then said I look 15 years old, and asked if I open up when I drink… do I like to party… he always drinks with his employees apparently and wanted me to join… I was 21. he NEVER gave me an APPLICATION.

he invited me to his home that weekend to “walk his dogs.” he was super cracked out on some energy drink, to the point of erratics, and basically just talked at me for over an hour about how cool he is. i was freaked out. this guy needs dealt with. so happy someone left a review about it a week ago, as well. don’t stop leaving reviews about this. this gym is closer to me than others and i have to go to a complete other gym because of him.

This company scammed my family into an unnecessary membership. When I signed myself and my daughter up, I was never informed that high schoolers can go there for free.
I learned this after paying over $1,000 for my daughter's membership which should have been free.
I am a black card member and can bring her with me anytime. I should have been informed that she did not need a membership. However, they are refusing to refund any money! Scam artists for sure!

I really enjoy going to this location. Staff always friendly and very clean. The only negative is when people just sit on various equipment and look on their phones. Annoying when it's crowded and someone is just sitting there and not using the equipment. Maybe if a staff member walked around occasionally and saw someone doing this, they could tell them to please use the equipment to exercise and move along so others can use it. Keep up the good work!

This is the absolute worst Planet Fitness branch ever. They shut down whenever the staff feels like it, with zero communication or respect for paying members. I travel a long distance only to find the doors locked while it still shows ‘Open’ on Google Maps. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and shows complete disregard for customers. I’m canceling my membership immediately because of this disgraceful location.

Nice gym at an affordable price.

Would it be possible to disable the WiFi captive portal? It is inconvenient to have go through the popup steps to finally get connected to the Wireless. I wouldn't have used Wireless if the coverage from ATT was good in the gym.

I have asked the staff about this; I was told these two answers from two separate people.

The manager/owner scolded mid set at me have my backpack on due to new policy. I didn’t do anything wrong. I tried to tell him a needed it on me for my medication/drinks/workout plan. As well as I had got my wallet stolen from at a different location so I didn’t feel comfortable with putting in a locker. He told me I could put my backpack behind the counter for the one time. I tried to explain myself and he threatened to disable my membership. So I went to Avon PF and had a better experience.

Great for the most part but really wish they had a standing calf raise machine.The sit down type at the Sandusky location is better than the one here but the standing machines are way easier to get a good workout without locking your knees because you can bend your waist to get out and it just feels more natural in general standing up. You either have to set the weight too low or risk injury trying to get out of it on the sit down types. Another thing I don’t like as much is that the ellipticals at this location make your quads sore really fast so it’s hard to go for very long, I didn’t have this problem with the older models that they have at the Sandusky location. It’s more of a high marching or something like that which isn’t great imo.

I really enjoy the variety of machines as well as the layout of everything. The staff are very welcoming and have always been helpful if I had questions. They are always on top of the maintenance of things at the North Olmsted Planet Fitness, whether it be making sure a machine is working properly or just replacing trash and filling spray bottles. The only complaint i have is they should teach new members proper etiquette in a gym setting. It seems to be worse at some locations and better at others. Other than that the equipment is great. The people are nice. The hours are great. I do wish they opened by 6 on the weekend, but waiting a hour isn't that big a deal. You'll never beat the price for what you get. The place is always clean.

My 2 big issues with ALL planet fitness are

1. They stopped being open 24/7. 3 out of the 7 days in each week they close early, even earlier than Walmart.

2. I found out the hard way that the black card spa closes an entire hour before the rest of the gym does. I drove all the way out to tan with my upgraded membership I pay extra for, and wasn’t able to even utilize such services.

A little too anteceptic for my taste. No sauna. No steam room. No pool. It's almost like this place to scribges power lifting. I guess if you're a beginner, it's okay but I don't know. I think it sucks. You guys posted several 100 million dollars in profits. I think you can afford to add some amenities that would attract a greater clientele. Your business model seems to be based on providing minimal services at minimal cost to maximum profit. That's why anybody who actually enjoys lifting doesn't really go to your facility. Don't get me wrong. I've seen people who were in good shape at your facilities. But it accounts for maybe 20% of the people will there. I like a gym where the people there know what they're doing, and actually have some knowledge. I'm sure there's a client tell that you are perfect for. The beginner. Someone without a better gym near them. People who go on a short kick of exercise - Then forget they have a membership and get charged. For who knows how long until they figure out they've been paying all this time. That being sad? I would give an overall grade of a D.

They have done a fabulous job replacing and adding on new equipment. Not only will it work every muscle group, it will keep your routine dynamic with the different machines, so you don't get into a rut with the same old exercises. Getting into the gym life scene is tough for some. I definitely need to say that honestly it's a difficult habit to maintain, but PF makes it easier. I love startin gym visit with a massage chair sesh. My muscles are always sore from the previous visit and this gives me something to look forward to experiencing right after I scan in. The cables are great here and they have what you need to get started. I feel that after a year here I will want more and go to Crunch or a gym that has free weight bench, but for now it's a perfect taper into the gym life mindset that I need as a welcoming design!
