Shower area smells like sewer for the last 3 weeks. Ever since they let go of the girl who worked over nights months ago no one cleans the locker room or showers. Mold on tiles and soap scum it’s not hard to clean especially with multiple people just sitting at the desk day and night. Switching to the new planet that just opened hopefully it can stay clean for a while.

They took my silver sneaker plan that comes with my health insurance. The people are super nice and not just the workers. I litterally had someone near me willing to help me with anything. Heck, one kid, Zach (hope he doesn't mind) gave me a tour. Outstanding place, plenty of equipment, clean. I think it gonna make me healthy and I wont dread doing itWhole fam has a membership now.

Said they canceled my membership back in February then never did, tried to explain my situation with the manager and he was super rude and not understanding at all! Planet fitness is a big scam. I went there for over a year and never had a problem. Then out of nowhere they charged me $56 and when I asked what the charge was for, the guy at the desk said that Corporate goes and charges 100 random people every month $56 dollars just to see if their credit cards are working...and so I asked for it to be refunded to my credit card and he said he couldn't do it. And then he said he could waive the charge for the month, and I said no and that I wanted to cancel my membership. I had to settle it with the credit card company, it's been 6 months and they are still settling it...
I don't know how they get away with doing that.

Please understand that some people can't take this heat and workout without getting sick not to mention it smells like body odor! I don't know who controls the AC but it it's the employees they are near the door we are burning up in here!

And while I'm at it I asked a friend to join and he is paying now two months and wants a trainer and no one available?

So I ask the employee at the desk and he says they turned the AC off because the filter needs changed and it's way up high near the ceiling....what it is in the 80s!! Come on!

Well it's been ok up until tonight it's hot and humid and smells like body odor once again.....whomever controls your thermostat may be controlling for them and not others!

Disappointing they do not enforce rules at this location. They will also argue in the same breath that they do enforce the rules. I’m fine with people using the express machines because most people will rotate if you ask a set or two before.

Apparently people can use the express machines indefinitely by saying “I have one more set! Go tell on me.” She is right and they don’t care as the assistant manager said “She said she had one more set so that’s fine.” He also tried to say that it would be an issue if I had to backtrack (which is what I had to do as I worked out two more stations).

Bathrooms could also be cleaned more often. Nothing is grosser than seeing the same hair in the shower stall 4 days in a row. Always use shower shoes.

Decent gym, some newer equipment was recently added. The gym could use a good deep cleaning. Lockers and bathrooms at times are filthy. Numerous broken equipment throughout that have been awaiting repair for well over 4 months. It would be better if it was open 24 hours 7 days a week.

I have had a membership at Planet Fitness for over 5 years and have never been to a location where I was treated with such disrespect by the staff. If this was my home location I would cancel my membership immediately.

I was checking in with my Black Card guest and was stopped to have my guest register. We complied with the request, but asked a few questions in the process one of registering because we usually don't have to do that and one of the employees (Jesse) started gloating about how strict they are there about the rules. When he sensed I was feeling slightly embarrassed about the situation, he continued to go on about how strict they are and how he was going to brag to the district manager about how they were so good at enforcing check ins. My guest and I felt very unwelcome and disrespected. We were treated as if we did not belong there. I continued my workout but was quite upset about how I was "welcomed".

When I left, I respectfully approached the employee who checked me in (Dustin) and told him that what happened at check in and Jesse's rude and unprofessional comments made me feel disrespected and it upset me greatly. He listened to my concerns but the only apology I was offered was " I am sorry you feel that way" and he offered to relay this to Jesse. He did not relay any genuine concern but was not outwardly rude.

A moment later, I came back in to take the business cards of the employees I encountered on this visit. Jesse saw this and proudly pointed his out to me, gloating again and delighting at how badly he had made me feel. His mannerisms were dramatic and aggressive. He very aggressively and insincerely wished me a great day. No apology or acknowledgment about how he made me feel at check in. I felt judged and embarrassed and I hope that he has never made any other members feel this way.

Honestly, this is probably the cleanest PF I've ever been to, i could literally smell the cleaners when walking into the locker room. Only gripe I had was a lack of hair dryers (my home gym has small ones available), I was unprepared to bring my own. Definitely will be returning ☺️

I'm here in Ohio for 3 months been a black card number for 2 years and was told that I cannot use a personal trainer because it's not my home gym everywhere I have went I never had a problem getting a trainer besides this a gym even got the information to call to set up an appointment by the trainer that works for the gym told them I was from Texas and they said cool gave me the schedule but when I called to set up the appointment I guess this lady don't know what she's doing so I was down

It's an ok gym, everything is kept fairly clean and well maintained. They always end up with way to many bikes and treadmills though and not enough elliptical and other weight machines. The staff is generally friendly and the prices are ok, but starting to get up to a point that it's hard to justify going to a general gym like this.

Tis only my second experience there to sign up. The desk worker (business manager) was extremely patient and helpful in getting me signed up and acclamated to some of the amenities. The massage recliner was amazing and may keep me from having to see a chiropracter this month. So far the Black card membership has already been worth the cost.

The gym is almost never open when they say they will be. It's been hours on a Saturday and none of us can use the gym that we paid for yet again, because they aren't there. Even a few of their employees can not get in or get through to their management. Absolutely ridiculous.

Here’s a rundown of how it compares to the other working franchise’s within the area. I’m a previous representative member from a separate franchise and chose to review another location. For this review I will compare this location to the Perrysburg location.

Pros;
The showers had liners along with their curtains which was very pleasing to know there was extra protection and cleanliness.
The design of the bathroom is definitely more upgraded and modernized, the lockers are thicker and don’t particularly slam easy.
I enjoyed the extra signs that enforced rules of putting equipment away and cleaning after. Perrysburg location has this of course, but this one has signs that stand out, which leads to my next pro.
The colour coding of the entire gym is aesthetically pleasing. This isn’t to say the other location isn’t, but it’s to say it’s easier to spot where you’re going and the signs.
I noticed the weights for the bench press machines had a more noticeable metal ring within their ring which I was personally pleased with as it makes sliding back into place more smoothly.
Had more televisions and even signs displaying what channel said television was on. I very much so appreciated this as at the Perrysburg location I often cannot tell what channel it is on unless I stare for a few minutes through commercials for the program.

Cons;
The fans within the stretching area are on way too high and causes a big breeze that is too chilly, the Perrysburg location moderates their fans and makes sure it’s a comfortable temperature for their members sessions.
Within the two hours I was there, I didn’t see not one walk around be done. And mind you, the sanitization bottles were firmly below the middle mark on the spray bottles, the trash of four cleaning stations were completely full, and even a couple empty paper towel dispensers.
The Perrysburg location has a rule against members and guests wearing crocs as it is a safety hazard for the members. They can slip and harm themselves with weights and treadmills. I noticed quite a lot of members wearing crocs, and not in ‘sports mode’ either.
The paper towel dispensers shook the entire trash bin with each press for more paper towels, this could be a personal preference but to me it felt a little unsafe as the structure felt unsteady.
I noticed the machines were different which could be a pro or a con, depending on the person. I personally find the equipment at Perrysburg more understandable than the one at the Oregon location, as the other location has noticeable (yellow) buttons to show easy access to changing levels of difficulty along with stop and pausing having an easier access.
Now. The biggest con to me was the examples of the representatives workers and possibly even a manager/Assistant manager/Shift leader (based on the colours they wore) displayed as I was there. I was at the building during a shift change (overnight into morning). The overnight worker greeted and made sure we checked in. This was acceptable and proper actions I noticed. The morning shift workers I noticed sitting on top of the counters, back facing away from the members as they engaged in conversation even while members checked in. I assume a manager/assistant manager/shift leader based on the black attire compared to the representative wearing the classic purple. This could just be different based on franchise, however I found it very unprofessional and not apart of the planet fitness message the service representatives are meant to uphold. I say this as it is within the job description when applying for the job, that it is the service representatives job to project a comfortable professional atmosphere that makes people want to come back and enjoy working out.

Overall, I give this three stars. It had major pros but also major cons. As a comparison, I feel the Perrysburg location upholds their rules and regulations better along with speaking and making their members feel comfortable. The Oregon location definitely has style, upgraded black card member spa, and works well with what space it’s got.

I have never been more excited or pleased with any other facility. The new Oregon OH facility has made it so pleasant for baby boomers to come workout.
