This gym is in an unimpressive strip center. But inside, it’s updated, has newer equipment, and is clean. I didn’t have to wait to use the benches, so it’s not overcrowded. Perfect.

I've had a membership for years. Travelled the US using all locations without any issues. Moved to Reynoldsburg last month.. This is the first PF that I've ever been to that closes at night and doesn't open until 7 AM are you kidding me? I'll be cancelling at 7 AM. This is ridiculous.

Of the two PFs within range of my house, this one has been a lot better, but unfortunately it’s really gone downhill over the summer. Cleanliness wise , it’s top notch. Everything is always great here. The airflow and atmosphere are good too. And generally the employees are great. They always greet us and generally wish us a good day on the way out - and look like they actually enjoy their jobs.

My two concerns are 1) the constant things in need of repair. One of the machines in the 30 minute room has been down for a couple weeks. And 2) the 30 minute cycle room either needs monitored by employees who care or the rules need removed altogether. I have days when 30 minutes is all I have during my break (my whole reason for joining). A number of times over the summer this room is occupied by people not doing the cycles, but rather occupying machines for 10-15 minutes, sitting on their phones between reps (there were 6 today). We try to work around them, but at some point. We end up waiting for several cycles for the people to finish. On top of that, many of these people don’t clean their machines, so I have to do this as well. Several times, employees come back and socialize with the people, but never say anything about using the room appropriately.

I get that this is a judgement free zone, and I appreciate the atmosphere, but this can get highly frustrating at times.

The men's restroom always reeks of piss, and I recommend a nice pair of noise canceling headphones because they have the speakers almost on full volume playing some of the most garbage music ever, hard to even hear self think sometimes. If you go after school hours prepare to wait 20/30 minutes waiting on a bench while a bunch of high schoolers just butt hang on them 🙌 they could afford to get rid of some the cardio equipment that no one ever touches to make room for some benches or more weight lifting machines .

This place was great for the beginning of my journey to losing weight. It’s open 24hrs Monday-Thursday, Friday-Sun it closes earlier so I would go in everyday to walk and run on treadmill.

The staff is amazing on each shift I wish I had names cause I would name them they all go above and beyond. They did a really good job keeping the fitness area clean and still able to man the front area. My only gripe was the men locker room area shower and restroom area. For that I give 3.6 stars, I put 4 because I would lean towards 4 before I give them 3 stars they really try to keep up with the cleaning in the fitness area.

Being a commercial cleaning business owner you notice a lot of things when it comes to cleaning, my suggestion which they probably could care less is hire a part-time restroom cleaner and their only job is to clean the shower, locker room and restroom daily. The men restrooms stay filthy for days which is unacceptable.

I know the membership is cheaper but the standard shouldn’t be.

Rather than being open all night Monday-Thursday, I wish they would close at 11pm or 12am and just stay open 1 hour later Friday-Sunday. Also, it has always bothered me that there is only 1 rear delt/pec fly combo machine. That machine is for 2 different popular movements, so someone is almost always on it. Meanwhile there are 2 copies of a ton of unpopular machines that only cover 1 movement each.

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a gym. I was kicked out by the manager Amanda Robinson who was not only incredibly rude, but also completely unprofessional. She spoke to me with zero respect, raised her voice, and acted like she was on a power trip. I came here to better myself, not to be humiliated by someone who clearly doesn’t know how to manage people or a business.
Save your money and go to a gym that actually respects its members. Planet Fitness? More like Planet Rudeness.

I have been meaning to leave this review for a while because this is my home gym and one that I go to regularly. First, I want to say that almost all the staff is incredibly friendly these days. They have picked the right people that always make you feel welcomed when you walk in the door and help you if you need it. Especially, Amanda and Noah. It’s nice to walk in and have people smiling and happy. I’ve noticed the staff keep the gym more clean than most of the gyms I’ve been to. When Amanda‘s working, it tends to always be spotless. She gets in there and cleans lockers, equipment and the bathrooms always looks phenomenal. They have recently put in new equipment, which has been wonderful as well. All they need now is a thrust machine. (Hope you see this cooperate office). Overall great gym…although I should say it’s terrible so you don’t come in there and crowd it. 😂

This gym is a nice facility. They have about 20 treadmill (if a busy time, you may not get one). They have elliptical, stair climber and row machines. They have a separate area for stretching and TRX. Also, the 30 minute circuit training. Weight machines for upper and lower body. They have dumbells and free weights. The black card area is smaller than most others but still have plenty of amenities. They have the new total body enhancement bed. Each time I have been in, there is always staff cleaning the floor and machines. The front desk is polite and friendly

I have been to several Planet Fitness locations across the country, and this was the worst one that I have ever been to. My unpleasant experience was due to the unprofessionalism of the employees. I went to the Planet Fitness in Reynoldsburg, OH on 01/16. My first unpleasant encounter was with a supervisor. I bring my laptop with me so that I can do some schoolwork prior to my workout. I sat in the front reception area at one of the tables and proceeded to begin my work. The female supervisor approached me and asked how long I was going to be. I advised her that I would not be long and that I was just working on some schoolwork. She replied that she would give me an hour and then I would need to move. That was very strange to me because I've never had any location take issue with me using my laptop. I asked her was it against any rule to use my laptop and she simply replied that "it was unusual for anyone to use a laptop." Not wanting to make an issue, I agreed to the one hour limit. After an hour, I proceeded to start my workout. Once I was finished, I entered the Black Card area to finish up the remainder of my schoolwork with the hopes of not being bothered. A male employee then approached me and stated that I could not be on the phone while I was in the Black Card area but since there were no other members using any of the amenities, that I could finish my call. I said OK and proceeded to conclude my conversation. No longer than 5 minutes later, a third female employee approached me and stated that I couldn't be in the Black Card area if I wasn't waiting to use one of the facilities. I asked her was not the couch part of the facilities and she stated no. Exasperated, I simply left the location. I have not felt this harassed by a business in recollection. Terrible customer service.

There’s a reason Planet Fitness is the most hated gym franchise in the industry. While working out today, one of the staff members—a so-called “trainer” who doesn’t even look the part—approached me with, “Could you preserve the dumbbells?” He actually claimed I was “slamming them on the ground.” Ladies and gentlemen, these were 20lb dumbbells—imagine the effort it would take to actually slam 20-pound weights.

As everyone knows, Planet Fitness has a sound-generating alarm that goes off if someone is legitimately slamming weights, and guess what? It didn’t sound. These are weights, not pillows—of course, they might make a little noise on impact.

The only thing worse than a female nitpicking, nagging, and gossiping is a grown man doing it. No masculine man goes out of his way to critique another man over something so trivial. The feminization and beta energy that so many Columbus men seem to operate in is beyond pathetic. This wasn’t about “slamming weights” but rather his own fragile need to exercise whatever authority he thinks his job gives him. This is next level beta behavior.

This is a complete misuse of energy, especially considering the male locker room at this location is filthy. The sinks look like they might be cleaned once a week, if that. Perhaps the so-called “trainer” should focus more on looking like a fitness trainer and less on harrassing people who are actually there to work out.

Today 10/03/24. I walked to the fitness center. Try to scan the barcode. There was notice saying next scanner. I went to the next scan but that was not the one. The front desk guy (Africa American) Do not know the name of person so using that to identify. Yelled me saying that THAT IS NOT THE SCANNER. He yelled. So I told him. Am I supposed to know which and how many scanner. He said yes. Told him DO NOT BE DISRESPECTFUL and yell. He said what you gonna do,multiple times. I told him I will quit this location. He said do it right now who cares. The other guys sitting in chair was smiling when saw his reaction. Not recommend to anyone. Reunited my day.

Dear Planet Fitness Management,

I am writing to address a deeply disturbing incident that occurred at your Reynoldsburg, OH location (7088 E. Main St.) involving my husband and our son, both of whom have been loyal members since June 8th, 2020.

Recently, my husband had questions about a price increase on his membership and approached the front desk to seek clarification. To our dismay, he was immediately met with a rude and unprofessional tone, being told to step back as though he had done something wrong. Despite calmly explaining that he was a long-term member simply seeking information, the representative escalated the situation, telling him to leave the building and threatening to report him to corporate.

Attempting to move past the interaction, my husband and son proceeded to their workout, only to be confronted again by the same representative, who demanded to know why they were still in the building. When my husband reiterated that he had done nothing wrong and had been a member for over four years, the representative shockingly called the police on both him and our son, and later had the audacity to cancel his membership.

As Black men, the experience of having the police called on them was not only unnecessary but also deeply frightening. This situation violated the basic principles of respect and customer service, and no member of your gym—or any person—should ever be treated this way.

When the police arrived, they instructed my husband and son to leave and not return. I am appalled that such discriminatory and disrespectful behavior was allowed to escalate to this level. Can someone please explain how this kind of treatment is acceptable at your facility?

We are strongly considering contacting corporate and pursuing legal action over this incident. No one deserves to be treated like an animal, especially after four years of membership. I am deeply disappointed by how my family was treated, and I would not recommend this location to anyone based on this experience.

I look forward to a prompt and thorough response.

Great gym. My go-to spot. They have a great selection of equipment for the size of the gym. Yeah, there are some machines I'd really like to see in there, but they strike a good balance in not offering just one of everything, not leaving you to constantly waiting while you're trying to complete your workout.

But I will say this. I don't like the large groups of people working out together taking over equipment for two hours at a time while they all take turns and kind of hang out and mess around. Have some common courtesy and keep it moving. Some of us have schedules to keep and need it.

Sometimes, I have a specific piece of equipment I need to use, and after an hour or two completely finishing my workout and they are still holding it up. I'll run on the treadmill again for some more cardio if I'm done and try and politely wait. I'm not afraid to go tell them I need to get in and use it to get what I need done, but many people are too timid to ask to use it.

*Note to the staff to keep an eye out for this for those you may lose as customers. Politely ask them to keep it moving. Many of us are doing whole body workouts, and as you should know, we have a set schedule as to working different muscle groups each day, and we need access to a machine that you only have one of in your location.

My daughter was approached and touched by this weird man as my profile picture. He is an old creepy worker there that will be reported and justice will be served. If you see him be careful and stay aware of your surroundings when he is there. If I ever see him on the street it’s over predators will not be tolerated in no shape or form.

Of all the PFs I've been too. This one has taken the lead on the worst one I've come to. 1. It's so small. 2. There are numerous pieces of equipment out of order. 3. The massage chair I was assigned to (#10) is SO BROKE but still being used. 4. The ladies locker room was a disaster. The the handicap shower looks like someone beat the hell out of the shower hose and soap dispenser was busted. The back of the shower curtains almost had a slime to them bc they're so dirty. However, the kicker of it all is the fact that once I stepped out the shower, I came around the corner to one of the male employees using the utility room to fill the mop bucket and I had no idea he was even in there. A notice would've been nice to prepare myself but seriously...why didn't he take precautions to let himself be known coming into the women's locker room where we shower and walk around half naked? I am beyond upset with my experience here today and although this was my first time coming to this planet fitness, I won't be returning. So far, Westerville PF in Hubard Village is my absolute favorite. They are very kind, super clean, equipment working and it's pretty spacey. This one just made me feel like I couldn't wait to leave. Side Note. I'm not sure why some PFs have the coin operated massage chairs but those ones SUCK SO BAD! And the hydro-beds here (they only have 2) the area is comfortable but the fact that you cannot adjust the swivel screen to face you, is lame bc you have to sit up uncomfortably just to adjust the settings and areas you want worked on. All around a disappointing visit:(

Went to this gym for a year and decided I didn’t want to continue my membership. I called over a month prior to when my membership was coming to its year end and was told by an employee i didn’t need to take any further action and my account would not renew on its own. Ofc this was a lie which I did not know at the time. I am now being told by the assistant manager that they are aware and admit I was given false information by their staff but that there is nothing that can be done as I will be charged the annual fee and there is nothing I or they can do about it. The worst part was honestly the way the assistant manager spoke to me as if I was a crazy person, not even letting me get a word in without rambling for me to stop. Now my only options are to apparently let them take this 50$ annual fee and whatever else they want or just have this sent to collections. Completely not okay to lie to customers and then punish them for it. Quite honestly not sure how a business could ever get away with financial screwing someone over like that.

After being humiliated at Pickerington planet fitness, I showed up at Reynoldsburg Planet Fitness, where Hillary was totally welcoming, friendly and accommodating. After she told her boss about my sad experience in Pickerington, Amanda called and left me a voice message that she wanted to make it right. I love my Reynoldsburg Planet Fitness. I received the worst treatment from an employee who claims to be the manager, the reason was because I was doing my exercises without shoes and that person approached me in a very rude way to tell me to leave the facilities (?) how is it possible that They give you the treatment if you pay for your membership. I recently joined Planet Fitness at the Reynoldsburg location and have been really impressed with the cleanliness and lack of crowding at the facility. It's nice to be able to work out without feeling cramped or overwhelmed by too many people. The location is also great, with plenty of parking available.

However, I have noticed some issues with equipment being out of order. It seems to be happening more frequently, and I hope that management addresses the problem soon. It's frustrating to have limited options for exercise due to broken equipment.

Another area that could use improvement is the customer service. I've noticed that some of the team members don't seem very interested or enthusiastic about their jobs. It would be nice to see a friendlier and more engaged staff when I'm working out.

Overall, I'm still enjoying my experience at Planet Fitness and am hopeful that these issues will be resolved.

Today I walked in this location and was greeted with a friendly smile and a super welcoming attitude from Kaylee Beach. She asked how I heard about planet fitness and guided me through different plans that would fit my budget. Kaylee gave me a wonderful tour of the facility and showed me the perks of each machine and how they operate. She was very patient and answered any questions I had without judgment and much compassion. After the tour I still had a few questions regarding which membership to get, and after presenting the amazing options with the hydrotable, the tanning bed, and the massage chairs it was an easy decision to decide on the Black membership. Kaylee is a tremendous asset to the team and I can't wait to start my weightloss journey at Planet Fitness 😀

This company has a policy of canceling a membership "in-person" which could be very inconveniencing. In fact, many would agree it is and it's another way for this company to continuously charge your card. Today, I arrived to cancel a membership and the behavior of "Theresa Davis" the Regional Manager was not a Great Image for the company. Her customer service was poor, disrespectful, humiliating, and harassing. I was told to deal with being charged every month moving forward. This type of behavior is not a good-look for the company, nor is it safe for paying customers who just want to cancel their membership and it needs to stop. I refuse to be subjected to this type of behavior as if we don't have rights as human beings. "Theresa Davis" definitely came to the table with personal issues and handled the situation very inappropriately. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was not able to make it in to cancel my membership for a couple of months. This is why having a policy to cancel in person should be done away with. Is it worth loosing customers over this? I've been going to Planet Fitness for years in Cincinnati Ohio before moving to Columbus, and unfortunately this has been the worse experience at this location. I don't want to see anyone get fired, but Ms. Davis needs additional customer service training, anger management, and a class on harassment. Better yet, she needs to step down from her current position.

Nice staff who help when needed. Clean gym & quite a few machines given the space. On the smaller size of Planet Fitness locations I've visited, but doesn't feel too cramped. I've visited at all times of the day & have always found a machine I was hoping to use. The black card spa area is also clean & well kept (love the hydro massage beds)
