This is the only Planet Fitness I have ever been to that does not have the True Stretch apparatus. To me, that is the most essential piece of equipment in the gym for recovery and preparation.

I’ve been coming to this gym since they opened. Lately during the summer months it seems like their AC isn’t on. 95+ degree days and it feels like I’m working out in a sauna. When I asked the staff if their WC was working she smiled and said, “no.” It has been nearly 4 weeks and no change. I’d recommend going to another gym or another planet fitness (in the summer, anyway…) until they decide to get the AC working.

Been going here for a few years some pros and cons like with any gym. It's a majority of people who don't go to the gym regularly and some who obviously go all the time it's a smaller gym so you may have to wait for equipment depending on when you go. The staff are all young and pretty nice it doesn't stink like a sweaty gym that's a plus and the membership is decently priced, my only cons with it are there are minimal free weights but that's just a planet fitness thing and it's not that big of a deal to me and they close at 10pm and 7pm on the weekends I wish they stayed open all night. Hopefully that changes soon.

We love the PF in South Point! Great selection of equipment, great location, the staff is always beyond nice and helpful and friendly!! The spa area is always so nice and clean. I was always the person who when anyone ever mentioned working out would respond with, “on purpose?! Like, nobody makes you?! You just do it?!!” Now look at me…6-7 days a week ant PF and it is helping me not only physically but mentally! The best decision my husband and I ever made was joining Planet Fitness and making South Point our home club! Thank you all!!!

This planet fitness is a little smaller BUT they have plenty of well maintained machines ALL CLEAN & WORKING 🏆and the staff and clientele are quite friendly. Unfortunately, I had to give 4 stars because the woman’s locker shower area only has ONE changing room. It does have a nice bench but NO mirror. Awkward if more than one person is showering. Also, I witnessed a girl tripping and falling HARD in the vestibule due to a rug catching on the door. The staff were going to address it and hopefully it’s corrected so no more falls. 🤝

Clean, comfortable and casual. This location is slightly different than the Ashland location, but just as fun! I did have an issue where I was ignored by an employee and they took care of a man before me, but his colleague addressed the issue and made everything better. Would recommend.

Easy check in just scan your phone barcode. I love the treadmill, bikes and the one you do crunches. The tanning beds are wonderful and hydro massage is to die for. If you've never tried it just give it a chance you won't be disappointed.

I love the cleanliness and all the updated equipment. But, I never get to go here due to my 12hr night shift work schedule. I really hope they have plans of opening 24 hrs. I live in Huntington and have to drive 35 mins to Ashland because no other PFs are 24hrs. I would actually go 5 days a week if they were open more, sadly I’m only going once or twice, sometimes not at all, not worth the membership for me when I never get to use it. Please consider 24hrs, you would have a packed gym and more $$$ rolling in.

They had a trainer on staff till yesterday. They are searching for a qualified, certified, trainer. NOTE:::: Training is INCLUDED in your membership....YOU WILL NOT PAY EXTRA FOR THE PRIVELEDGE.... editing this review to add that the trainer in question, Drew, one of the best, most effective, most encouraging, trainers. He will be missed at Planet Fitness South Point. I was one of his longest term clients and the progress he helped me make was incredible. I am diabetic and through his work with training as well as diet and exercise, my A1C went from 8.9 down to 5.8.

My experience has been phenomenal. The personal trainer Drew is the best I've seen. He is compassionate and keeps my goals in mind when choosing my exercise!!! I highly recommend him! All staff is friendly and kind.

The staff are super helpful. The bathrooms stay clean and I even use the showers at this location because of how clean they stay. The layout is convenient and I can move around without getting in the way of others. There are plenty of machines so you don't have to wait to use one. Tanning area and massage area are kept clean and I've only had to wait a short time once since using those services as the staff are on top of the appointment schedule.

Just joined and I LOVE IT!!!. The equipment targets muscles I didn't know I had, REALLY. I would guesstamate there to be 30 treadmills, 10 bikes, so no wait. Their black card package is to die for. Enhance machine ...Phenominal! Google it's benefits. Thier 4 tanning beds are very strong. 12 minute max says a lot. And the hydro massage bed is to die for. Not a good experience last night. The young man that was working behind the counter was having a hard time with the tanning bed. He made one customer upset and she left and I caught what he was doing and he didn't like it when I said something about it. I was waiting over an hour to go tan and the weason why was because he was letting people jump the line and letting them go back before me. I can't remember this young man's name but he was tall short dark hair and he was wearing a pair of clear glasses. He needs to be trained in customer service.

It's a shame that almost every planet fitness out there is opened 24hrs except for the ones around here. Had hopes of the south point one coming through but nope another let down. How do you guys expect any working person to be able to make these hours. There is no common sense behind this ! 9-7pm and then 7-3pm. Most people have to be at work by 9am and this does not even allow them enough time to get off work, drop kids off and make it before closing time and then you want to close earlier on the weekends. Please explain the logic. Insane.
