Planet fitness is ok, the staff that is there in the early evening is the best! I just wish that there was a bigger area for floor work and also that people would clean machines after use. I get tired of having to clean machines before and after I use them because others seem to think that leaving sweat for someone else is appealing.

The steubenville Planet Fitness is absolutely a 9.5 put of 10. It's always clean, and the staff is extremely welcoming and kind. The only downsides is that there is only 1 assisted dip/pull-up machine and limited free weight adjustable benches. However, that's more of a limitation caused by a lack of space. Overall, excellent place to begin your fitness journey!!

Joined for location and was very disappointed. Very little equipment, so wasn't able to complete my planned workouts. Also experienced rude staff, and wasn't able to use any of the promised "perks" as the sign up kiosk in the gym didn't work and was told there's no other way to sign up. Reached out to the manager multiple times and didn't hear back until I cancelled my membership. May be a decent option for you if you are mostly looking for cardio machines. Otherwise, you'll want to look elsewhere.

As a Black Card member, I really enjoy working out. The fitness center is close to where I live and I guess you could say it's my home away from home.I can go at my own pace. I really like the benefit of the massage chairs and beds. After a nice workout, I can sign up to a bed or chair and be taken to a different world. The staff and many of the people that come to workout are very nice and helpful. Maybe a steam room, sauna and hot tub could be added at some point. Thanks Planet. I can really start to see a change in my appearance.

I really enjoy coming to this gym. I like the crowd measuring that it has in the app and they obey your word on how you pay every month, including the once a year big payment. I've found that other gyms and at home workouts like beach body, always seem to over charge or charge you for things your not aware of.

Update:: they seem to be more on the keeping things cleaned up and stocked for others to clean after themselves.

No excuse for the facility to be this dirty… from trash pieces all over the main gym floors to the bathrooms having excrement splattered to same toilets for days and days… it’s clear there is no accountability for employees to keep the space sanitary for gym guests. Employees just group together and talk everyday; really needs to be a better social time/work time balance.

They will charge your card that you initially used when signing up in the beginning, MONTHS LATER for 3 TIMES THE AMOUNT that was supposed to be the "agreement" and ALL AT ONCE! So i call the location to talk to management because they charged me over $400 for "my membership" on a debit card that I haven't even had any money on in 4 months!! I try to explain to the lady I could NOT afford this right now as I'm a mom of 3 kids that is trying to keep my expenses afloat as is! 😔The lady couldn't do ANYTHING else with my account or about it being charged all that $ but did mention she would release the pending charge but if the bank doesn't release it in time and the charge goes through then I'm pretty much screwed! Well, of course, I ended up being stuck with the UNAUTHORIZED $400 charge taken from my account for my "NO COMMITMENT MEMBERSHIP" and told that they were truly sorry but their hands are tied!! EVEN HAVING HALF OF THE MONEY THEY JUST TOOK FROM ME BACK WOULD HAVE HELPED,,.. TRULY DISAPPOINTING!!!!! 😔🙅🏽‍♀️

They require you to give them your checking account! Reason is, you can dispute fraud with a credit card, but not a checking account! They will keep deducting your bank account without permission, beware! And you can’t cancel over the phone, or online! It’s a scam!

For some reason there are still restricted hours.... I'm talking like CLOSING the doors at 6 pm on a Saturday!! A lot of people have to work Saturdays and by the time we get done work and head to the gym, they're about to close. If it's Covid-related, I'm sure that everyone will be fine to keep working out for a few more hours.... Covid doesn't mutate to EXTREME COVID after 6pm. If it has to do with the workforce or not having enough employees, then maybe planet should pay a little bit more on the hour.... However, being that this planet fitness is in Boardman, I can't imagine struggling to find workers. Whatever the reason may be, it sucks. 5 stars if the hours were better. 🤷

This place is great! The equipment is awesome and the staff are very helpful. The young lady whose name is, and I know I'm going to spell it wrong, is Shaquoia that helped me was patient and very sweet as I was having problems with my cellphone. I recommend the PF Black. I'm very impressed and was pleasantly surprised. The Total Body Enhancement is a wonderful machine. I felt great after I used it and The facility is so clean. Very professional staff! I highly recommend Planet Fitness.

I have had to cancel my membership, this is when you find out the true character of a company . This company is AWFUL! It clearly shows I haven't been there since May on 2019. With covid and financial issues you think there would be some understanding and compassion, but no if you forget the rules from forever ago they do not care about their customers at all. Very sad.

I have personally only ever visited this gym as a guest, so my experiences are limited. With that being said, I find it to be a very well maintained establishment. Equipment is clean and kept up with, the crowd is never too large so you're always able to find something to keep your sweat going. And the overall atmosphere is that of encouragement and belonging. I certainly intend to get my own membership when it is financially viable, but until then I will absolutely be back as a guest!
