Staff was nice but manager was VERY rude...paid a dollar down then was charged 10 days later then got the run around for almost 2 months because I wanted to know why and possibly cancel...no one would let me cancel I finally spoke with the owner who replied "well if you would have read your contract then you would have knew"...YES I get that but its a certain way you talk to someone smh ....ill pay over $100.00 for a membership elsewhere rather than come to this gym....customer service is the worst and kindness matters and how you treat people.

I've been a member since the doors first opened. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and the equipment is constantly updated and maintained. So why only 4 stars? The men's showers are gross. They didn't used to be, but there was a remodel a few years ago and ever since the showers don't drain quite right. If you don't jump in there right after they're cleaned (to be fair, the staff cleans frequently and well), then you're stepping in the previous guests' sludge. Which is as pleasant as it sounds. I've used the shower twice, maybe 3 times since the remodel, and won't again if I can help it.
If you don't need or want to shower up after a workout, then I can't recommend this place enough. But if you're like me and consider decent shower facilities to be part of the basic gym package, then this PF is simply incomplete.

Planet Fitness Black Card membership offers the best bang for a single person's buck in comparison to my precious gym, the YMCA (they charge single adults with no dependents the most in proportion to every other demographic of people, which is discrimination. Also, veterans get the dinkiest discount available, thanks!). The best part of this membership is the unlimited access to message beds to relax and not having to listen to screaming children while you're trying to work out and have a peaceful existence.

Update: I switched to the Tallmadge location and it is packed to wear I have to always wait for equipment, I honestly find it nerve wrecking. I also don't like how Planet Fitness thinks gymtimidation is wearing cut up jeans but someone can prance around in a bra and booty shorts riding up their behind that is tight enough to be wall paper. Please update your dress code! No point in someone wearing less than a tank top and shorts, I don't see the men behaving like this. -_-;

Absolutely and hands down the worst planet fitness I have been to. The staff and especially the trainer “Tim” are extremely, rude, unprofessional and beyond condescending. They bothered me around four times just for slightly dropping off my 75s dumbbells on the floor (barely made a sound) and mentioned it’s against “policy” to do that. I’ve been a planet fitness member since 2021 and have NEVER experienced anything like that before. If you’re actually there to workout, this is not the gym for you. Save your time and go to a different location.

I have a black membership card. You can access any branch of Planet Fitness in America. There are many exercise machines. There is a tanning machine. There are hydro massage beds, massage chairs, storage lockers, shower rooms, a very large changing room. The staff here are very nice.

Gym is clean but if you want to go on the message chairs, tanning, or even the message bed there’s no one at the desk. I have to literally call them and then someone comes from the back room and to answer the phone but don’t see me standing there for 10 minutes. Makes no sense. That’s in the middle of the night. I get it’s night time but I pay extra to use that other stuff. I shouldn’t have to call the place to get someone’s attention. They do have new treadmills but I might not come back here because of the fact no one is at the front desk half the time when I go up after my workout. It’s not their fault. They should have someone at front desk at all times.

My biggest problem here is that I don't use the app and sometimes I don't bring a phone. A young kid working at the front desk likes to give me problems when I want them to check me in. Almost telling me that I must sign in with my phone or picture of my phone. This is ridiculous if I ask you to sign me in. Do your job. The showers suck too. I don't go to this one unless I have to.

They don’t allow you to cancel ur membership over the phone. A ploy to make it so u never cancel, i asked them to postpone or cancel as. I work a lot and couldn’t make it in. Refused. Charged me again. And a late fee. Literally making it so I can’t afford rent and now I have to figure out how to make time to drive in to cancel. This place sucks.

I love working out at Planet Fitness!!
I am able to keep my schedule and fit my work out in for the day!! I love being able to go there anytime of the day or night!!! After my hard work out, I get to treat myself to massage chair or bed and then get to tan!!! What I really love, I get to spend quality time with my daughter and we have fun working out together!!! The gentleman behind the counter was not helpful. He told me the manager could better answer my questions. I asked if I could speak to the manager and was told the manager wouldn't be in until Monday.

I did not feel welcomed and could tell he wanted me to stop asking him questions but, I wanted to make sure I was understanding what he was telling me. What was on the computer screen was more interesting than the prospective customers in front of him.

I was amazed that there wasn't a single employee there that could answer a membership question.

We looked around online and found another place to go.

Great tanning beds. They have multiple beds you can choice from there is a lay down bed, standing, as well as a hybrid bed with red light therapy. All their equipment is newer and up to date and the customer service there is fantastic. Best planet fitness I've been to by far.
