this and other random broken machines is a consistent thing for this gym. It is high traffic so it is understandable that it happens… but a lot of the machines are outdated as is and almost “warped” from excessive use. To put in perspective, I have had a membership here on and off since 2016 and most of the weight equipment is original and no.. it wasn’t built like the old school equipment that lasts forever. After seeing other planet fitnesses in the area, this one could do better since they are swimming in memberships?!

I got billed for over a year after having cancelled my membership, I went in and signed the paper back when it was only the paper way to unsubscribe from the membership, and never noticed I was still being billed and not only that but club fees were added that were 50 dollars every time, in addition with the membership cost, I’m probably going to be contacting the BBB considering I was getting billed after I cancelled, I talked to management and they said there no information on it, I wonder if it’s because a minimum wage worker that doesn’t want to be there didn’t do there end of the job to cancel someone’s stuff, I even contacted the supposed GM of the branch and never got anything back

Used this location off and on since the end of 2024. This is the only Planet fitness that I have been to that when I used the showers they will have you showering in cold water at times. It gives warm for a couple of minutes and then you’re stuck in cold. Mind you I have come very early mornings with not many people there and also during the day. I hope that they fixed that. Also, one of the lady workers that I wished I had gotten her name came up to me after me cleaning my machine and was like I’m glad that you cleaned your machine. I don’t know if she was trying to be funny only with me or if she’s done that to other people but that was weird. I will say make sure you clean your machine because that tells me they’ve seen people not clean machines. I always clean mines before I get on and of course it’s only right afterwards out of care and respect for the next person.

Usually have a good experience here; however, worker, *not mentioning name*, seems very condescending. Was working out and she kept snickering and making sly remarks about members with coworkers. After confronting she was laughing and continued to make jokes. Member seemed very upset and didn’t seem like she wanted to be in the interaction they had. Very rude overall and did not give off a friendly vibe, especially considering the member truly didn’t spark anything. Member left and she kept laughing saying “yeah, buh bye.” Didn’t seem entirely “judgement free.”

This is a decent Planet Fitness, but I would ignore the crowd meter on the app, it seems inaccurate. There's quite a few youngens that go to this one and they occupy most of the weight training equipment. The equipment itself is functional, I only saw one piece with an out-of-order sign. The facility is clean and, yes, it's maintained by the youngens behind the counter. I even used the tanning booth, no wait and it was clean and maintained. If I'm in the area again, I'll likely return.

No kids, no long waits for gym equipment and the best rates for single people with no dependents. I am glad I switched from the YMCA to here, I was proportionally paying more than any other group because everyone but single adults with no dependents gets a discount over there...and it's very noisy. Even with the blackcard membership, it's less money and more bang for my buck. I have unlimited access to the hydro massage beds and other perks with that VIP style membership. I also like how there is no gym drama because it isn't tolerated.

Always busy, no machines available when I came go. Tweens come in groups and hog 1 machine for 2 hours. Tanning schedules are always messed up. It smells like must by the machines. The paper towels are never full. Staff is not very friendly because they are all still in high school. There is usually NOBODY at the desk. It's just the lack of respect. I could stand at that desk for 10 mins and nobody acknowledges my presence.

I used to have no problems here but the past few months have gotten ridiculous. I do not like their system for tanning. Every time there’s over an hour wait for a bed even though there will be nobody in it because you have to wait until the exact time. Why am I sitting waiting ten minutes when the bed is open? But lately every single time I come every single bed is booked out for at least an hour. It’s gotten way too busy and 8/10 I stand at the desk waiting for someone who works there to come to the desk

I would like to give a shout out to Alyssa. I have been coming to this location for the last few years and she is the one who is the hardest worker. She is always busy cleaning or helping out clients. She honestly is never standing around and always is so friendly when I arrive and leave. I'm pretty saddened that the lady that caused the issues is still working there hopefully she received more training and how to properly do her job. A great stop this morning for a pass along the Thirty Minute Circuit and then a shower. This was a clean and tidy Planet Fitness with no problems at all.

Everything worked fine for me. The showers had decent hot water and there was a very useful chair in the changing stall. Hooray.

Some more hooks and a mirror in the changing stall would be a help. Otherwise, all good.

This is probably the worst Planet fitness I’ve been to. Customer service is horrible, always having to wait 10+ minutes after scheduled time to get a bed.
One employee was there, but I had no idea she was even employee at first due to her wearing plain gym clothes. She communicated nothing to me and just kept talking to other people. Came off so rude because she just kept walking right past me.

I decided to cancel my membership to the Wadsworth planet fitness after a year. I documented my request and sent it to them and it didn't get canceled so about a month and a half later I ended up calling and I spoke with the manager who said she never received the request for the cancellation. So yet another month got debited out of my account however I did send it and I addressed it appropriately to the address given on the website so I don't know where it went but I didn't receive it back. So anyhow I explained my situation to the woman on theà phone who ends it up being the manager thankfully. She was a delight...she looked at up phone number and said that they didn't have any documentation that I had sent anything in to request the cancellation however she was very prompt to apologize. She went on to be the nicest person and very understanding very kind very thorough got everything documented appropriately and ultimately my membership did just get canceled this week so it didn't take much time It had to go to corporate and what not. So I ended up talking to this nice lady about some other things and she just has a really good head on her shoulders and is a very kind individual and ma'am I'm sorry I don't remember your name but you are a very kind soul.
I do recommend planet fitness highly and the Wadsworth location is awesome and obviously the woman I spoke with is as well. I would rejoin in a minute, my cancellation doesn't have anything to do with something they did or anything of that sort. I actually just received a refund to my bank account for the last month that they debited out of my account accidentally after I had requested that it ended so I was not expecting that and just wanted to give them a shout out and let them know they're doing a great job.

This is the worst planet fitness ever I have been being billed for two years and have not been one time management refuses to refund me my money and refuses to even get me in touch with a supervisor. 25 month ago I canceled my membership and have been billed every month since the current manager (edasia) response is to bad so sad your canceled now. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! I now have to report to BBB and Ohio attorney general just to speak with her boss. I want my 25 months charged to be returned and won’t stop until they do what is right!!!! It is predatory to continue to bill someone for something that they don’t use and canceled and just because the customer didn’t notice the withdrawal doesn’t make it right!!!! If you buy a membership here just to tan I would think twice about it every single time I waste my time coming over there to just tan there is almost always at least a half an hour wait. Even if your bed is clean and ready to go they won't let you go in there until your time slot. I've been going to this gym for about 5 years and it was probably the best PF in the area. In the past year or 2 it's gone down to debatably the worst. The cleanliness has gone down, inconsistent water temps in the bathroom, and more recently the water fountain has been out of order. I bring my own water, but drink a lot when working out, so usually need a refill. They have been offering free water bottles since the fountain has been out. That recently changed and now you need to pay for the water. In my opinion, if you run a gym, having a working water fountain should be a priority for many reasons. They don't seem like they're in a hurry to fix it either. Going to different locations when possible until this is resolved. 3 stars is generous at the given moment...

The most terrible management and customer service I have ever seen.

They made me wait 10 min because they hadn’t cleaned the bed and then wanted to charge me $3 for eye wear because I didn’t have my own. Because my home gym provides the eye stickers.

Instead of offering a complimentary eye wear they said “I should have been prepared” and they only offer a complimentary eye goggles to new members.

After I spent another 10 minutes looking for an extra pair of eye stickers that I finally found in my car - they informed me that my time slot was over and would put other members behind so I could wait another 30 min if I wanted to tan.

Terrible experience. I was injured walking into the gym (wet floor, no wet floor signs) and broke my foot. About 4-5 employees were standing at the front desk and not one of them did anything to help. When I finally got their attention (they were gossiping and not doing anything constructive) I told them I wanted to file a report. I filed an incident report and heard nothing from them. I called them 2 weeks later because I still had not heard anything and was informed that they had lost my report. So I filed another report over the phone and then another via email. I was informed at this time that they had video of the incident. I never heard from the general manager and escalated the situation to corporate. Once the report was filed with their insurance company, the employees who were standing at the desk (I had their names) lied to the insurance company and said nothing happened and that I never filed a report. I was also informed that they could no longer find the video of my incident, causing my claim to be denied and leaving me stuck with hundreds in medical bills due to their negligence and lies. Would not recommend going here to anyone.

A couple suggestions, please get an additional adjustable bench for the 360 room ( which I use at a time when there's no class) and put a mirror on the short wall by the balls and there used to be a rack with straight and cheat bars in there, but they have been taken out (not sure where they went) but those were very useful in there and sometimes the bro zone is too crowded for me to go over there and use the one in that location. Some people just feel for comfortable in that room.
At times lately it is really cluttered and messy overnight and towels empty etc..but otherwise nice gym.

This is one of the locations I recommend.

Unfortunately we just discovered that Planet Fitness in Wadsworth has been making fraudulent charges against our credit card for months. I had a membership at planet fitness being paid for with my bank account. In December, all our bank accounts were hacked and they were no longer able to autowithdraw from my account.

I went in to cancel the account in January...but they wanted me to add a new bank account to reconcile the account. I said no...I'm now very wary of giving out my bank account. I asked them to cancel my membership. I discovered today...in May...that what they did instead was take the credit card number from my husband's Planet Fitness account and continued to charge it.

We have been trying to figure out for a week what these repeat charges are on our account. After talking to their representatives on the phone. They insisted that the only way to "cancel the account" was to go in in person (which we tried months ago).

When I said that I would be leaving a review about our experience, they immediately said, "Oh...we are canceling your account right now (on the phone)." They always say this is impossible which we all know is a delay tactic. Theoretically they have cancelled my account...no idea if they will refund the money they took.

I'm filing a fraud dispute with the credit card company.

The regional manager lied to me be about my kids being allowed in the facility. First day I walk in, start to signup and was told you your kids are fine to be here as long as you say they are 13 and we proceed to work out. The next day I bring the same children and I was told they aren’t allowed here without a birth certificates. None of this was mentioned to me the first day after I signed up and was allowed to workout with the same children. I do not live close and the 13 year children’s dreams were ruined that day. They did the old bait and switch on me just to get their numbers up for the month. I’m never coming back again!

All employees are extremely courteous, helpful, and welcoming. This is a busy location but things are always clean and staff are attentive. They remember my face and that makes the gym experience really positive!!! My only criticism is to corporate Planet Fitness for allowing free memberships for teens for the summer. The gym is too busy with this increasing volume of people and I can't always get my workout done efficiently anymore. I wish teens were limited to at least no larger than groups of two. I frequently see teens in groups of 3 or 4 tying up weight equipment stations for long periods of time, and often not cleaning stations. I pay for a premium membership and have never gotten a month free... I try to be courteous to everyone else's workout at the gym. I don't feel there are checks and balances that allow the influx of additional young members to enjoy this benefit while simultaneously ensuring current members do not experience negative side effects. I also imagine the already busy staff are expected to do more work with higher stress for more members so I hope they were compensated appropriately.

I hold gym memberships in Cleveland and Akron. However recently as gas prices have risen and time has been scarce, I've taken to this place. Simply out of convenience. That is all. $5.34 for a day pass is great. Definitely worth an hour or so of cardio as that is all I do. I couldn't drive to Cleveland or Akron for that.

However I wanted to pay with cash. They don't accept it. F it, ok, card is fine. So today I'm back. F it, $10 a month sure I'll do that. Nope!, I'd have to sign up on my phone on their app or online. And use my account and routing number. Instead of a credit card. Nope! So, another $5.34 it was.

I’m from the Copley area so naturally I went to that location first when in town. I travel a lot so when I tell you’ve I’ve been to a lot of different planet fitness, I’ve been to A LOT! This isnt about the copley location, so I don’t wanna bash, but Coming to Wadsworth has been night and day. The staff is professional, hard working, and just a pleasure to be around. To the point where I made this my home gym, and I live in Columbus. You all kill it here, and make me and my wife so happy when we come to visit. I tan at the Wadsworth location after work in the mornings. The girls that work the desk are always so friendly and accommodating to me. They try to get me in as quickly as possible, and if I do have to wait, they offer me the massage chair or bed, which is wonderful after a long night of working in health care. The beds are amazing and so clean, always. I'm so happy to be a member here!

All the workers are nice and helpful. And every other person I’ve talked to is really nice helpful as well. The Wadsworth Planet Fitness is my favorite out of the few I’ve been to not only because of the people/environment, but the equipment is well maintained and has high weight

I usually go to the planet fitness in wooster and have never had a problem there before.
Recently changed location due to the fact it was closer to work. We worked out once and the next day when coming back we were told we could not work out unless we changed close because apparently freshly washed clean high viz clothing is not aloud. I work in the tree industry as a climber and it is vital my guys and I stay fit. I've never had a problem before, and explained to the front desk how we can where gym shoes but our clothes are no different then anyone else's. She preceded to tell us we must where work out clothing Wich is again no different than what we were where in. We clean our work out area just like everybody else. We wear our masks up whenever possible.and we literally just go there to work out half an hour a day and that's it.
