I always love coming here with my friend and working out, always organized, and no matter what time of day you go there the employees are nice to you, they help you if you need help with your membership, and they don’t mind questions. The view is amazing on the second floor, being able to see all the cars and mall, I like when I’m on the treadmill and I find cars that I like, very nice that I get to do that. The employees don’t even act like robots either, some are chill and don’t fake smiles and some are energetic. Very nice place to go, going at night is a good experience, especially if you’re someone who has social anxiety and paranoia. Helps me think and not overthink that I’m being judge, sometimes I do go in the evening, but my overthinking gets shutdown by my friend. I hope this review helps you make the choice to pick planet fitness, I know it can be hard to set goals and stick to them, and especially with mental health as someone who does wrestling and color guard. Being put on the spot to be something and to be good at something is hard, but working on yourself helps build that confidence.

Was my favorite gym until today. New manager running off long time customers over a policy change and refuses to refund annual fee. New manager needs to understand that "not our policy" is not customer friendly focused, it's a power play. I was a member at this location since they opened. You can't change a policy overnight and not expect people to be upset. The manager was cocky, condescending, and rude rather than empathetic over a sudden change. New manager seems to be more interested in making a name for himself, rather than taking care of his customers. This is not the way to treat loyal customers.

This location is often dirty and the locker room smells. On one of the massage chairs the leg portion is crooked and actually hurts to use. I wish they would take better care of the equipment and clean the locker room and restrooms routinely and thoroughly. Maybe get some air fresheners.

Very impressed with the cleanliness of this gym. On days/times it is slow… multiple employees are out on the floor deep cleaning each equipment and even mopping underneath. This is a common occurrence. Locker rooms and restrooms are also always clean! It doesn’t go unnoticed!! Thank you for providing a clean gym.

Fantastic place to work out. Clean and inviting gym where everyone is welcome. With inphasis on machines it is easy to get a quick but complete workout. My only gripe is they only have Smith machines for bench, squat, deadlift. I wish the had a real free bench but I understand why they don't. Still two thumbs up. Great place with a great staff

I WISH I could give this place 0 stars. The absolute WORST planet fitness I've EVER been too. One instance where a male staff member named Cameron will hover over you 10 minutes before closing whilst you're doing a glute work out using heavy weights, staring at you to let you know the time when there's so many others still working out. (I was on my last set and it usually takes me 3 minutes at most to gather my things and leave. Everyone knows what time it is.) This kid will blare the alarms at the end and trying to throw everyone out way before closing. I've seen a few reviews on here about him. He definitely needs to be dealt with.
Another few instances with their tanning bed as they like to shut it off 20 minutes in advance, and a manager had to get onto the staff members letting them know they stay on until closing time.
I tried to tan at 8:45pm, and 5 minutes in it shuts off. My partner who was also trying to tan - theirs shut off one minute in. He was told that they have a 'automatic closing' on the machines. Which is absolutely not true as I've tanned at closing at other places with 0 issues. I've never had such terrible experiences at any other planet fitness. I can complain about so many things here. We only go to this one when ours closes early. Thankfully ours will be 24/7 soon. I do NOT recommend this place. Absolutely LAZY workers, and absolutely TERRIBLE service. Work out somewhere else. They absolutely need new staff or way better training on their staff. Too many teens want to rush everything and close down way too early than necessary. Do NOT go here if you want to be harassed or not use the special machines you pay extra for in your membership as you definitely won't get your money's worth at this location.
And for any response I get from customer service - I don't need a cookie cutter response. This place has some serious issues. You're hiring kids who goof off and trying to leave way too early. DISRESPECTFUL TEAM.
They'll avoid you or discard any conversation you have. DO BETTER!!!

Summary: Mediocre.

One star for the staff being friendly and generally helpful although there seems to regularly be 3-4 people staffed in the afternoons/evenings with paper towels being empty/out at dispensers around peak times.

One star for general cleanliness of the location.

Minus one star for how crowded it gets; PF’s app “crowd meter” isn’t helpful at all. It’ll have 3/10 bars but when you walk into the gym it’s about 60-80% full.

Minus 1 star for the horrible parking available. Related to the too crowded comment, but it’s incredibly difficult to find a decent space in the main lot. Someone did not effectively plan the lot for how many cars would be needed.

Minus the final star for how embarrassingly bad the WiFi is. It’s difficult to connect to every time, as it requires a manual “accept” to join each time. It’s also horribly slow and will kick your device off without warning/reason during workouts. It needs a major upgrade for both speed and the amount of devices that will connect to it. Seriously, it’s 2024 guys…

By Far some of the worst team members ever , bunch of kids at night making up rules and throwing the managers name - Eli - or whatever - daily issues , daily different stores , one day the black card member can bring someone , one day they can't , one day the guest can use the massage chairs the other they can't , all based on what child working the desk , If this Eli actually is the manager , train your staff or at least teach them one way of doing the rules .

I've been going to this Planet Fitness every so often. I went tonight later. By 8:50, one of the workers, Cameron, was yelling at everyone in the gym to get out, flashing the lights, and turning the alarm on saying they're closed. It was absolutely unprofessional. I get you want to start your weekend and you don't want to work any longer than you have to but that was ridiculous.

This place meets the majority of my needs. The staff does a pretty good job keeping things clean, as do most of the members.

My experience has been that only around 5% of people tend to be squatters on the machines and obsessive with their phones. Don’t be bashful, if they need a correction just ask if you can work in. Most people will get the message. With double of most isolation machines, in addition to several traditional multipurpose weight stack stations, many individual rack stations and an excellent free weights area, you should be able to mix up your routines quite effectively each and every time.

I can’t speak to the spoil-me spa experience since I am just a basic member.

Cardio machines are always available, and the multiple core exercise rooms are very good.

My only complaints are 1) false advertising on the entry doors of 5/24 - which infers 5 days a week, 24 hours a day. Not even close to the truth. My vote is for the place to be open until at least 11pm on Friday. I think PF can afford an extra 3 employees for 2 more hours, so 6 more man hours per week to extend the Friday hours to 11pm.
2) Seems like pairing up to the TV’s wirelessly should be more intuitive, if available at all. I know it can be accomplished with wired headphones but eh…

If I made more $$, I would never sign up here. This location may be big and appealing to some, but that seems to be a young crowd that tends to hang out on machines, playing on social media.

Last evening was particularly bad, with a crowd of kids that barely looked 18, using the gym as a social gathering. There was weed smoking in the parking lot and even the young employees were goofing off. This crowd hung out over by the free weights for at least 45min.

It is so hard to use a machine OTHER than the cardio equipment. 90% of the time, young adults use them to sit and play on their phones. I don't need to spend 2 hours there just waiting to use the equipment I need to get a full workout. IT'S RIDICULOUS.

I would NEVER recommend this gym to anyone, unless you ONLY want to use the cardio equipment. Don't expect any professionalism, either. Most of the time I go to the desk for an appointment, they have their backs turned to you and act like you're a nuisance when you need something. The tanning beds are rarely ever cleaned when I show up for my appointment and the floors are never swept.

I am so happy I decided to go here! The facility is 2 floors, lots of space between machines & best yet, it’s SOOOO CLEAN!!! Every time I have gone so far I have seen someone dusting the machines, mopping the floor or refilling items in the bathroom. I love the top floor being able to look out the large windows. Every cardio machine has its own tv which is so nice to watch what I want to. So many stations that are stocked so you can wipe down your machines before and after you use them. I have the membership where I have access to the massage chair/beds & red light therapy. My favorite is the water massage beds. It gives me something to look forward to after working out. I go during busy hours and have not had any issues getting a massage bed or getting on any of the cardio equipment. Again, this place is clean, clean clean! A huge difference from being at another local gym. Highly recommend joining if you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate!!

I am 71 years old. I do not like to take my telephone nor my glasses in to the facility to work out. I like to finish with the aqua massage table when time allows, which is not often. Because I don’t wear my glasses in to work out I cannot see to sign up for the aqua massage and normally when I go to the desk and ask for help, ya’ll are very accommodating. But today as on several other days, the person at the desk is obviously disgusted with my request for help. Today, he asks for my phone number and then points to the scheduler and tells me to sign up for what I want to use. If I could see without my glasses and/or if I had worn them in I would have already done so. I mean, dude, you’re standing there, picking up a scanner like people don’t know how to scan their cards, but you can’t help me?! Shame on you. I know you probably don’t care, but my membership helps to pay your earnings.

Sun tanning bulbs are blown out on a regular basis. Have been set to tan in a room but after getting undressed, applying lotion and getting in bed, it doesn't turn on causing me to get dressed and walk back out to front desk for them to reset the tanning bed. This has happened numerous times, I have even had to call and wait for someoneto answer if they answer. The afternoon/evenings are so full you can't get a machine, therfore I have tried to come early morning befor going to work but other members are standing at a machines playing on their phones, holding a machine.
Staff is young, unexperienced and childish. I have witnessed 2 girls sitting on the floor behind the counter playing patty cake together and other employees just step over them and ignore the situation. Employees allow their friends to cut in line of tanning bed and tan before the members that have already sign in. Members run circuits on multiple machines at same time that prevents other members to use the machine. This location needs upper management to come in and correct these problems. Also, I have been charged multiple times in a month at higher rates at unscheduled times. Serious problems

while the place is clean. i have now been going over 2 months and i have to go at night since they dont teach people how to weight train proper or explain. where you go from device to device letting your muscles you just worked on giving them a break and start on another section of you body. instead you get a bunch of people babysitting one item and never going to anything else. no wonder why Esporta Fitness said good luck when i told them i decided on Planet Fitness

After the GM head my issue with the Stairmaster equipment he took immediate action and repaired and fixed the issues that I brought to their attention through my goggle review. Thanks for taking action and fixing the problems with the equipment. He even called me to let me know what was going to be done to fix the Stairmasters - Thanks - keep those Stairmasters in good working or please!

I have started working out at this gym because of change in work location - they have 10 stair climbers and all of them need some type of repair. Most of the stairs are cracked, the controls for most of the TV's did not work, the sound to most of the TVs via headphones did not work. Please get these fixed - all that I work out on is the stair climbers and I just want equipment that operates correctly and is not broken. Thanks!

Took a tour of the gym - staff was knowledgeable and very pleasant. They were not pushy in any way and were very transparent about membership options. The facility is newer and was clean. Saw multiple staff members cleaning. The additional perks for black card membership appear worth it. I had a quick work out and enjoyed my time there. Was happy to see a planet fitness near where I was staying while out of town only to find out they close at 9 pm. What planet fitness closes at 9pm?! I go all the time starting at 10pm or later at every other location I have ever gone to. Low and behold apparently every planet fitness in this area closes early. Along with closing early they also open late at 7am so you cannot even get am early morning workout in.

I feel bad for anyone wasting their money on a planet fitness membership in this area where they are not withholding the standard of being a 24 hour a day gym.

Terrible customer service. I joined this Planet Fitness when I was traveling to the area regularly for work. That changed and I wanted to cancel my membership. Being from outside the area, I was unable to come in person to cancel so I called and was told to send a letter requesting cancellation. I did this in November 2023 and have continued to be charged the monthly amount. When I called to inquire, I was told I needed to send a certified letter which was never explained to me before. When I began to question why this was never communicated to me, the manger I spoke with, Ethan hung up on me. This may be an OK gym but the customer service is terrible.

My favorite spot to do cardio as I body build. It has two floors both floors are mostly cardio equipment and machines for abs, legs and to do your own thing. Don't expect free weights it's not that kind of gym. A great starter gym for teens, older ones and for folk that don't know where to start. The machines are basic and easy to understand, to gain experience of what muscle(s) your using because of the pictures on them.

The place is generally very clean such as equipment, floors and bathrooms.

This Planet Fitness is fairly new so the equipment isn't old at all or makes odd sounds like older gyms and equipment.

They could get more 45 lbs plates for some people that would like to go heavier on the smith machines.
Each smith machine(s) has a minimum of two 45 lbs plates per side, the incline leg has 4 per side. It would be wonderful if they could invest in a few additional plates for the smith and Incline machine because some people can get a bit happy with the weights making several smith machines to just have one plate per side 🙄

It's a large Planet Fitness ALOT of Cardio stuff! Which isn't bad for what it is. Which isn't a GYM just a type of Fitness place for marathoners so to speak.

The massage chairs are.....okay I've been to a few others and those are better. One massage chair specifically THE FAR ONE has a uneven leg holder massage thingy. It kinda feels like your leg is in two left shoes and it can hurt.

I DON'T use tanning because I'm brown already.
I rarely use the "beam me up scotty" time machine either even though the "red sun" or red light therapy is good for your skin and rejuvenation.

Water beds are decent. It's water shooting up at you while you're relaxed. Like a jacuzzi.

A pretty good spot to workout at. It would have 5 stars if it wasn't for that broken "left foot" massage chair.

Edited same day per owner response… To owner, this does not help. You did not address the staffing complaint I had, only tried to explain payment options. Your explanation does show you accept one form of payment preferred thru checking. I was asking for one form of payment, which is what your staff told me is not possible. Had your staff actually taken the time to be present at desk or care about what I was asking when I could find them, rather than saying do it thru app seems to be 1 issue. Your lack of response about the staff, your training of them and follow thru with them is the real reason for this response. Wanted to be a member, Planet Fitness didn’t want a new customer.

The bad reviews of the staff here are correct. I was new, looking to sign up, sent me to sign up on app after 1st person at desk didn’t know how, second person said it will take a while and go have a seat while I do it. He disappeared. Got to part in app that asked for credit card and bank account info, does not let you proceed without. I want to pay with 1 form of payment. Had to wait for another person to come back to desk, he (Luke) answered phone that had been ringing before helping me. He asked if I was all signed up after he hung up. He had directed 1st person to help, so I am assuming he is manager.I told him no and why. Asked for way to pay providing either credit or bank info, not both. He told me there is no way, annual fee’s are collected on credit card, monthly fees from bank account. There has to be a way to provide 1 type of payment. Other reviews here also state they are charged after cancel. Staff is very inattentive here, front desk is empty, had 5 people behind me while all this was going on and phone ringing. Did not sign up as staff were terrible to work with, and payment options they require are absurd.

Do not like this Planet Fitness. The equipment and workout areas are fine. But the staff is something else. Never see them walking about the gym, seems like they just hang out at the front!!! Really, does the front need to be be a place of “ hangout”.
The showers rooms are horrible. Dirty!!! Ever single one!! Hair laying in clumps, garbage and even dirty shoe marks in the shower! I looked in everyone to choose “the best”. Disgusting!!!
If you are looking for a Planet Fitness, go to the one on Fields Ertel. They are amazing there! Awesome staff, clean and great environment. Avoid this one in West Chester if possible.

I canceled a membership about a month ago but found that my card continued to get charged. When I called I was told there were 2 memberships with the same name and month and day date of birth one had a date of birth in 2004 and another in 2003 which obviously doesn’t make any sense. I was able to cancel the second membership as well and told my charges would be refunded to my card in about 2-3 days. It has been 9 days and still no refund has been applied to my card.
I believe planet fitness replied to my review however I can’t find it to follow up so if planet fitness comes across this again please reach out again so I can follow up. Thanks !

None of the 3 employees greeted me when I walked in, though I said “Hello”. Maybe they have never seen pink hair before? 😅 I even hovered by putting my phone away at the counter for a few seconds to see if someone would say Hi back. Left with an awkward silence. The blonde girl at the front simply stared at me, though she did tell someone leaving to “have a great day”. I don’t want to be made to feel awkward at a gym by an employee so I may go to a different one.

Actually, it's a really nice gym. Typical lifter into bodybuilding and they have up-to-date equipment and a lot of smith machines. Great atmosphere. Would recommend
