Very bad, terrible understanding, I forgot a sweatshirt at the gym and when I went to ask the staff they simply didn't care or even look to see if it was there. There are always dumbbells missing, there are never enough and you have to wait a long time until you can use them, machines spread throughout the gym so that you have to keep moving to work the same muscle group. Simply horrible.

I recently joined, and ready to cancel my membership.

The equipment has not been cleaned in ages, there is dust and hair balls piling over the bases of all machines, free weights and ALL the benches (I usually check them all to try to find the least dirty but it's a pointless effort). It takes away the excitement of working out.

Love PF. Worked out at many across the country. Most of the staff at this location are more interested in their personal convos and not the members who pay their wages. Seldom get a greeting or Thank You for coming. Other locations just appear to hire better and are better managed.

Always busy. Patrons occupying multiple machines at once. Was followed to my car (straight to my car door!) by a foreign man and it seems many will walk very close to you for no reason (was not even paying attention as I don't wear my glasses in the gym)! Westerville is going down hill. Women, just keep an eye out or wear a hat. It’s not the gyms fault for this. Just too busy.. with creepier and adventitious men that are unfamiliar. I say this to add to another comment about men following another female customer in the facility.

Love it! Their black card membership gets you all amenities. Lay down/stand up tanning. Stand up hybrid RED LIGHT therapy. 10 to 13 minutes max time. I love the massage chairs and hydro therapy massage!
The only complaint I have is black card members can bring a guest but it's a fishing set up because they don't tell you at all that your guest can't use the amenities. Only gym. So you waste someone's time coming to the gym with their friend specifically for the amenities and then get told only if you have a black card membership also.

Nice looking facility but the staffing is horrendous. Walk in to the gym for my 1st visit and had to wait for the girl working the front desk to complete her conversation with her friend (no this was not work related) while I just stood there. Then I asked about what I needed to do to check in to enter gym, she said “ There’s an app” and locker rooms are ‘over there”. I just cancelled right there. This had to be the rudest person I have ever seen in a retail front facing position. I’ll pay more to be treated with some respect and not have to feel like my business is worthless. The manager did call and offer me a free bottle of water to come back which is laughable. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Absolutely NASTY bathrooms. I've watched repeatedly how they literally use the mop to move the dirt from one side of the room to the other without rinsing it or changing the water. The bathrooms are SCARY! Showers are so slimy you don't dare touch a thing. The shower curtains are so nasty and covered with god knows what...so bad that everyday I have to pull the curtain apart from sticking to itself just so it will close! YUCK!!!!

This is my first time at this location and I must say that it is really nice. The equipment seems to be maintained, areas are pretty clean. The manager is rude and has a smart mouth. She claimed I had missed 2 monthly payments when I’d been keeping up with my gym membership since I’ve created one. When I tried to explain that to her she rudely told me to let her finish speaking, just to say the same thing she’d been saying the entire time. After I repeated that I’ve been keeping up with my payments and just paid the annual fee 2 weeks ago, she told me it couldn’t be figured out until the next day because she was “too tired and isn’t even supposed to be working right now”. Why would you tell a customer that you’re too tired to do your job? I would like to report this corporate.

I have been a member of this PF for about 7 years. I enjoy the culture, friendly staff, and the amount of machines and equipment.

The cleanliness needs improvement. In particular, the women’s locker room needs daily cleaning. Some of us take showers and prepare for our work day at the gym. The showers are not clean, and the floors are dirty.

I left 5 stars because I don't believe in hurting people's scores only having been to a place 1 time. However, I have been to dozens of Planet Fitness locations around the country and this is by far the dirtiest and least kept up location I have ever been to. 2 people at the front desk playing on their phones while 6-7 paper towel dispensers are empty. I watched 2 women go to the desk and ask about it, still, noone addressed it. The club and locker room was filthy with trash on the floor. The location itself is amazing, but poorly kept up the day I was there.

This location is quite large. They have @50 treadmill, @25 elliptical, bikes, and seated bikes for cardio. There are a few stair machines and row machines. They have designated areas for stretching, 360, and circuit machines. There are plenty of weight machines. They have a separate area for black card spa area. There are 5 hydro beds, massage chairs, a private seating area, and numerous tanning beds. The club seemed to be clean. Stations to clean the equipment after use. The staff was nice when I entered.

I recently had the great opportunity to visit this Planet Fitness facility while on the road as a professional truck driver, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the facility. Everything was spotless, which immediately made me feel comfortable and ready to work out 🏋🏾‍♂️.

The professionalism of the staff truly stood out. I want to take a moment to express my admiration for a young man I encountered during my visit to Planet Fitness. Although I didn’t catch his name, his dedication to maintaining a clean environment truly impressed me.

He was incredibly detail-oriented, making sure that every piece of equipment in the area was spotless. It was evident that he took pride in his work, and his commitment to cleanliness did not go unnoticed. In a workout facility, having clean equipment is crucial, and this young man's efforts ensured that everyone could feel safe and comfortable while exercising.

Thank you to this dedicated staff member for going above and beyond. It’s the little things like this that make a big difference in the overall experience. Keep up the great work!

The gym quality is okay if it was cleaner it would be a lot better. I will have to look for a new gym because it has been happening very frequent lately that the gym is overall dirty and not conducive to exercising safely with clean equipment. Bathrooms are out of toilet paper, paper towel dispensers are out of paper towels, cleaning sprayer bottles are out, trash cans are over flowing, and just over all floors and machines are very dirty. Save your money and spend it on a different gym that will maintain and take care of it so you can enjoy your workout more.

I have been a member for over 3 years & used to vary my stops between Sawmill, 23N & Westerville locations. I slowly started to prefer Westerville but in the last couple weeks the staff disappeared, I skipped tanning bc the associates seemed stressed out bc they are often alone now. I don't like to feel like i can't ask to tan, or for any reason. So I won't say it's their fault they are having bad attitudes bc it looks like their night is hard already. It's like suddenly a different place. I'm leaving 5 stars but will change to 3 soon if they can't get them help

The much maligned Planet Fitness doesn't deserve the hate it receives. I have been working out for years and have been a member at a pretty serious gym, they raised their price so I switched to Planet Fitness and I have been pleasantly surprised. Clean, friendly, and you can get a great workout. Does it have all the weight you need to go straight forward, no. The dumbbells only go to 75 and no free weight bench or squat. If that's what you're looking for, wrong place but you can get a great workout here. I do a combination of dumbbells and machines and have gotten a workout just as good as I did before. If anything it's gotten me to expand my workout to incorporate new things. All said I really like it so if you're looking to save some money and know what you are doing don't be afraid to join Planet Fitness. It's a fantastic place for beginners and long time lifters

Why is there no one at the desk on a Monday around lunch !? Is there really only one person working!? I counted about 75 people in the gym but no one working!!! Phones are ringing and no one is here to answer.
Sign that says scan in and will be back but I come to tan and been waiting here for 30 minutes and no one is coming.

We visited as a family to inquire about a subscription. However, we waited for an overly pompous staff member who took his time acknowledging us. Eventually, we left without being attended to, as he seemed preoccupied with everything but his job. This used to be the best gym in the area. Large facility, considerate patrons, great equipment. However, the patrons of the gym have become less clean and considerate. They do not clean the equipment after use and they "hog" multiple machines and other equipment. And then, they ask if I'm almost finished with the equipment I'm using. It is becoming very tiring to go into the circuit room to continuously find people sitting on the equipment on their phones when you approach and ask them to move they refuse or ignore you. I feel like a good tool would be to run a continuous loop video in the room that explains the traffic signals over and over in both English and Spanish. I love the club otherwise but this keeps it from being exceptional. Especially since planet fitness markets to people like me the idea that we can get our quick workout in and everyone follows the rules.

This is a very nice Planet Fitness. It’s large with plenty of machines to work out on, the facility was noticeably clean (really extra clean) and all the equipment was in working order. Best of all (for me) is it’s right off the freeway so it’s really easy to get to.

Dear Planet Fitness Management,

I hope this finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern about an incident that occurred recently at sawmill Road gym location, which has left me feeling disheartened and disappointed with the current state of affairs.

As a member who was a part of the Planet Fitness community for years, I have always appreciated the welcoming environment and the professionalism displayed by your staff, especially during Stan's tenure. Under his management, the gym ran seamlessly, and incidents were minimal.

However, in the past three months, I have witnessed a significant decline in customer service, cleanliness, and professionalism at the gym. The incident on 1-1-24 between 12:30 and 1 pm involving a minor disagreement between two guests was mishandled and blown severely out of proportion by not only the manager but also by two new employees, whose conduct was concerning. (The video needs to be reviewed when the manager screams out does anybody else have anything to say and threatens to trespass people just watching the seen she has created) I had nothing to do with the situation simply looked at one person and said they’ve been here two weeks they’ll be gone by February!

The lack of effective customer service has been evident, notably with the cleanliness standards in the massage room, gym area, and tanning beds. Dust accumulation and overall filth have become noticeable, which is distressing given the high standards I have come to expect from Planet Fitness the last few years.

What concerns me most is the discriminatory behavior displayed by some staff members. I have witnessed paying guests being targeted, spoken about disrespectfully, and threatened with trespassing simply for expressing valid concerns about the management of the incident. This not only tarnishes the reputation of your establishment but also amounts to defamation of character for loyal patrons.

I am writing this letter not to criticize but to express my genuine concern and disappointment. The environment that was once inclusive and accommodating has now become hostile and uninviting. As a long-term member who values the Planet Fitness community, I implore you to address these issues promptly and restore the standards of excellence and professionalism that once defined this gym.

I believe that with the right actions, including retraining staff on customer service and hygiene protocols, implementing stricter cleanliness standards, and fostering a more inclusive and respectful atmosphere, we can restore Planet Fitness to its former glory.

I appreciate your attention to these matters and sincerely hope for positive changes that will benefit all members of the gym community.

I relocated from Ohio before departure I went into the location canceled my subscription, today while in my account looking into auto pays noticed I have been being charged for services I discontinued months ago. I called location McKenzie the manager told me they won't refund me nor stop my membership, I asked for upper management information she refused to provide. As a customer I don't know your policy so I was unaware the gentleman was supposed to give me a receipt for canceling, ball was dropped and I the customer has to suffer very poor way of doing business.

Shady billing practice: you can sign up on your phone at home, but you have to go in person or you snail mail to stop your membership. Seems unethical. Especially when you have a physical reason that keeps you from going in. In my case, the extra week it took me to get this canceled, caused me to pay an extra month that I did not want to pay. This is my favorite location in Central Ohio! I go through spirts of coming several times a week and no matter when I come, everyone is so kind and helpful. This time I’m going with my coworker and we are keeping each other motivated, Once again the crew who works here makes it enjoyable to come. Member for years, had to cancel because of childcare changes, but they still charged me a few days later. Contacted both corporate and franchise separately and they both told me they would not offer a refund for the upcoming month they charged me for. It's always crowded anyway and the equipment you want to use always has people hovering over it. Also, good luck finding any paper towels. They are constantly out because the staff is too lazy to refill the stations. My guess is a lot of sweat isn't cleaned off because of that.

Hey, everything is purple and it can be pretty crowded at times, but ultimately they’ve got everything you need, it’s clean, and pfit is everywhere! I’d recommend

I don’t feel excited coming to this location anymore..
unfortunately the kettlebells weights were locked in the front desk, every time we want to use them we need to go and ask for them, there is no freedom to grab them quick. It’s a waste of time, useless to grab one/two and walk all the way were i feel comfortable doing my exercises, then i have to take them back when one of my hand is already holding my bottle of water and other stuff plus they are heavy.
It’s not others people problem if those are being stolen or damaged. Should get a better alternative to manage that.

Gym is fine lied to about membership. Was told guest has same privileges as member when you take them. So me and my wife both got black card memberships so we could take or special needs son. We'll guest's don't.
