I cannot recommend Prevail enough!

Sarah Buckley is an extremely knowledgeable, helpful, carrying, professional coach ( and such an amazing person ! ). I look up to her as a personal trainer and a powerlifter, I'm so lucky to have her in "my team"! Sarah helped me to understand how my body works ( I've never been as in tune with my body as I am now ). Her program and professional approach did wonders for my hamstring injury recovery (and many other problems/imbalances/issues my body had, like a partial dislocation of my shoulder, hip flexor strain etc.). She taught me how to listen to my body and I love the way she works with her clients.

Sarah's mobility program is absolutely the best! And it doesn't matter if you're an athlete, train for health reasons or you're just starting your self- care journey.

Update: I worked out here for a year before moving away and I stand by all I noted before. Real people, real goals, good vibes. This gym changed my life. 💪

I have been an "open gym" member for four months when I only planned on sticking around for a couple summer months. This membership is everything I wanted and more. The gym is small and the coaches know everyone by name. I received an initial assessment that gave me the opportunity to share my goals and receive individualized feedback; Sarah is very knowledgeable about the body as a whole and I was relieved that she has a similar approach to health as I do. My first month in the gym I had the opportunity to have multiple coaches walk me through some basics of the gym and foundational movements. The format removes obstacles between me and a workout; I don't have to think about what to do or how much (it's in the app), the schedule/hours keep me accountable and consistent, there is always support and smiling faces, and I never feel judged but always encouraged and sometimes (safely) pushed to lift more than I thought possible. 💪I love seeing the progress I've made in building muscle/strength, mobility, and consistency. Participating in "benchmarks" with the whole community each quarter is unique and exciting as well. Sarah even opened up the option for leading interested members in powerlifting meet prep! The new open gym coach, Matt, is a great help and always checks in with people's progress and recovery and helps with form and adding weights. I can't recommend this gym enough! The co-owners and trainers are continually improving and expanding, not growing stagnant. This is a true investment in my health and so it makes the cost worth it (which by the way is amazing for all it includes!). Other gyms wouldn't even tell me the membership fee without a tour but Prevail is transparent and will answer any questions and make sure it's the right fit.
[No one asked or paid for this review in any way, it's just so good I had to share] :) Give it a go!

I have trained with Sarah Buckley for the past decade and there is no trainer I trust more in helping me get stronger to achieve my fitness goals. All the trainers at Prevail are incredibly
knowledgeable and take the time to listen to questions and concerns with compassion. All abilities are welcome there. I cannot recommend them enough to anyone whether you’re brand new to strength training or a seasoned veteran.

Prevail is hands-down one of the most supportive and welcoming gyms I’ve ever been part of. As a coach, it’s the perfect environment for my Personal Training clients to thrive—offering a clean, inclusive space where strength is built in a safe and accessible way. The vibe is friendly, empowering, and community-driven. Whether you're brand new to fitness or coming in with experience, you’ll feel seen, supported, and cheered on every step of the way here. Strength is for everyone here!

I am writing my review for the 60 & over crowd. Want to get moving more? Want to workout in a stress free environment? Want to belong to a community of individuals in a similar situation? Want to feel welcomed everytime you walk into the gym? If so, then I highly recommend Prevail Strengh x Movement. I also recommend attending coach supported individual training sessions. These are great especially if you are starting your fitness journy. You can also attend an open gym and work through self-guided exercises. Now, let's get moving!!

I joined prevail in February of 2022. I love the atmosphere, it’s always clean,, Sarah and Andrew could not be more helpful with any and every question I have about form, setup, aches and pains. They are so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in every aspect. They truly want their clients to have THE best experience.

I have had the pleasure of being a client of Prevail from it's opening. I have been a personal training client with Andrew for three years and an open gym participant since February 2021. After some (fairly gentle) pushing from my trainer, I joined open gym with no real goals or expectations to get through the winter. My experience has been overwhelmingly positive.

If you want to be challenged and encouraged by not just trainers/the program but also other gym goers, this is your place. When you enter you are always greeted by name. No one wears headphones and sits quietly in the corner. The whole community has been encouraging, helpful and approachable. Sarah or Andrew are always available if I have questions or concerns with the exercises assigned to me. I love how easy the app and program are and can largely go on "autopilot" in the early AM to knock this off my to do list first thing. All of the guess work of what I should do, what weight should I use is off my shoulders which is why I enjoy this setting so much. I feel very safe with the professional guidance and watchful eye of the trainer on staff.

I am truly indebted to Andrew and Sarah for creating an approachable, dynamic atmosphere that supports men and women wherever they are on their strength journey. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone at any stage!

Every once in a while, you find people who are exceptionally great to work with. That is Andrew at Prevail Strength x Movement. I’ve had the privilege of working with Andrew for over 6 years, and if you’re considering working with him, I encourage you to take the leap.

Andrew is a lifelong learner who dives deeply into his role as your trainer because he both cares for people and he loves to learn. One of the smartest people I know, Andrew has taken the time to learn not only about how to train the body, but also about how to feed it, how to supplement it, and how to work through the injuries we all inevitably have—and he shares all that knowledge with his clients with an enthusiasm that is contagious. With some coaches, it can seem like when they learn something new & helpful, they then apply that one cool trick to all their clients. One of the things I appreciate most about Andrew’s approach is that he has the desire to keep learning, and the discernment to keep assessing his clients’ needs on an individual, one-size-definitely-does-not-fit-all, basis.

I’ve benefited from Andrew’s individualized coaching approach as I’ve worked through issues with my SI joint, a repaired ACL tear, shoulder issues, and more. Every step of the way, Andrew listens and then sets to work to help me improve, keep me moving, and help me learn how to manage the issue outside the gym. And I’m blessed to have experienced that he doesn’t do it for the paycheck or the accolades, but because he genuinely cares.

If you choose to work with Andrew, he’ll take the time to listen to your concerns and develop a plan that prioritizes both your challenges and your goals, and you’ll greatly benefit from his passion for helping people. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn a lot in the process about your body and how important it is that we keep moving. Thank you, Andrew, for being the best coach and a great friend!

Sarah and Andrew (co-owners) have been instrumental over the last few years as I navigate chronic illness and strength/mobility training. I’ve never felt fully comfortable and trusting in any local gym, until I found Prevail and started training with Sarah and an awesome group of women. Working with Andrew, with his knowledge of the body and ELDOA and manual therapy techniques has become my go to for pain relief and second opinions as a practitioner and friend. I can’t thank you guys enough! I’d honestly trust anyone they bring on as a part of their business.

I have been going to Prevail since they started. I am 65 years old and feel 15 years younger. I am stronger and more aware of the impact of how I bend & move has on my back. I attend scheduled sessions as a personal training client twice a week but can schedule a make-up session via the Vagaro app and can either attend another scheduled session or leverage the Trainerize app where Sarah creates a session that I follow on my phone during open gym. This is a great option because you get your workout in but can adjust the schedule to meet your personal needs. I am more motivated to workout knowing that Sarah is watching over me.

I cannot say enough how much I have enjoyed Prevail so far. The strength training is amazing but also a hip/hamstring issue that 3mons of therapy couldn’t fix has improved in 3 weeks with movement at Prevail! Both instructors really listen to what I want and need. So happy I found this place

About 8 years ago I was diagnosed with RA, so after being active all my life, I found myself struggling to be motivated. Sarah has helped me to feel strong and never defeated. She always does something new and works every part of my body. She is so knowledgeable about the whole working system of our bodies, so thankful to be able to be a part of Prevail

About 1.5 yrs ago, I started my personal training journey with Prevail. I hadn’t really stepped foot in a gym prior—simply was looking for a place close to home. I never imagined this experience would make such a positive difference in my life.

I’ve become close friends with my trainer/mentor— who is super knowledgeable and even pursues continued education. I’m happy with my body recomposition results, and believe that money spent on your health is money well-spent!

About the gym:
It’s a smaller gym focused on weight-lifting, and they’ve made good use of the space so it rarely feels crowded. If you’re looking for treadmills/ellipticals/tvs and amenities like that of a big-box gym, then this may not be for you.

They’ve cultivated and nurtured a welcoming, non-superficial environment which I appreciate. Plus, the free walking group is a casual setting for you to meet everyone and get any of your questions answered!

The whole team is amazing. I hate gyms, and I’ve come back time and time again to work with Sarah and the crew. Promotes a strong, healthy environment focused on the whole person, not a particular muscle group or body type. Love this place!!

This is a great place to take classes and work out. The strength class I take has helped with my running and the inclusiveness is wonderful. No matter the body type everyone is positively encouraged. I also like the fact that both Sarah and Andrew are willing to answer question during open gym. Both are extremely knowledgeable, no question is too dumb. A nice perk is the walking club that is here. You meet with a variety of different people and the emphasis is just moving and having a great time.

I’ve been working with Sarah as a ‘Strength in Numbers’ personal training client for nearly 18 months. What I gain from Sarah’s coaching is more than simply a tailored workout routine because she is such a thoughtful, experienced and educated professional trainer. If something doesn’t feel quite right she wants to know about it and come up with a solution to improve my capabilities. Sarah is a continuous learner who is always seeking to incorporate the best practices for her clients. More than that, she clearly cares about each of her clients and it shows in her approach.

Sarah is extremely professional and knowledgeable. She is capable of explaining movements multiple ways so that all athletes can comprehend the “why” and “how” much easier. She goes above and beyond for her clients and is multi-faceted. Sarah is able to connect clients to other professionals if they need assistance in other areas, overall a wonderful coach and a clean, well kept facility!
