Called to see how much the gym costs since I am new to the island and since this was the only gym I was looking to join. Some guy name Alec answered the phone and said “Hello, this is Alec” not implying that I was contacting the gym. I answered with “Hello, is this like the gym?” since I didn’t expect some random guy to answer without mentioning the name of the place and he rudely responded with. “Ya, this is like the gym.” Honestly was extremely cocky and rude. Makes me not want to join the gym if the environment is like this over a phone call. Extremely disrespectful and disappointing honestly. Management should really do something about rude employees because people won’t want to join your gym with your workers treating customers like that.

Yesterday my husband, my daughter, my five-year-old grandson, and myself were at Put in Bay in a golf cart. A horrible Lightning and heavy rain storm came out of nowhere and we could not see the road. We took shelter in the gym’s overhang on the front porch as did three elderly women. The owner was so nice that he provided fresh, dry towels for everybody and welcomed us inside and dry off until the rain subsided. We stayed there for almost an hour and the owner showed us that there are still good, caring people in this world. We were very impressed and the gym looked fantastic! Thank you again for your kindness and hospitality.

Terrific gym. Equipment is TOP NOTCH and atmosphere/decor is nicest I’ve ever been in for a gym. Day pass for $15 on Put-in-Bay is fair.
