Ryan is a amazing trainer. His training in Functional Fitness is unique and results are life changing. I have had back and cervical surgery. With this type of training my spine and neck are all connected and aligned.
He is passionate, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable of the human body structure. If you have a particular issue he works with you to solve the problem.
The training is so different than your normal training session. The concentration and controlled movements do wonders for your body.
I highly recommend this type of training for all ages. I have experienced amazing results in my body.

Ryan has helped me so much to improve my life through myofacial release techniques. I've been seeing Ryan for personal training for about two years now and he even responds to my questions when I haven't seen him for a while. Ryan is so knowledgeable about new fitness and posture techniques and does a great job tailoring the exercises to fit my individual needs. I recommend him for anyone looking to improve their posture and quality of life.

I worked with Ryan to help restore bad movement patterns and muscle compensations. I’ve dealt with chronic pain and numbness from poor movement from previous concussions, ankle, and should injuries for over 5 years. During those years I’ve exhausted many therapies in search of finding something that really helps. After working with Ryan in my first session I realized his approach was exactly what I needed. And I’ve noticed profound gains in pain management, movement patterns, better gait, stacking of my rib cage and pelvis, muscle awareness, and grounding. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the human body. He understands anatomy and practices functional patterns training that really brings results. Ryan has an innate ability to study his clients body structure. Are you collapsed to one side? Do you have scapular winging? Ryan will study your anatomy and understand the correct and proper interventions/exercises to help. Ryan will show you the way but it’s important to note you must show up for yourself and make his approach apart of your daily routine for truly life changing results.

Ryan is the absolute best of the best. I came to Ryan to have my movement patterns evaluated, this allowed him to accurately identify my weaknesses. Ryan helped me retrain my upper body movements which has alleviated my shoulder pain. I couldn’t recommend him more, I’m thankful for everything he has taught me about me about my body and how I move!

Finally found a personal trainer that knows his stuff! Ryan is a craftsman. An expert at his trade. If you’re looking for someone who is extremely knowledgeable of human kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology, Ryan is your guy. The results speak for themselves. Never felt my back and core as strong as they are now. Only regret is not finding him sooner.

My 70 year old husband's C5 was broken in half, along with some spinal cord damage early 2019. He was fully mobile with the exception of his neck, arms and hands. Very few PT outlets were accepting new clients at the time due to the Covid restrictions. We found Ryan quite by accident but he turned out be the greatest blessing in disguise. Because of his own life experience(s) and willingness to learn more, he was able to give my husband the tools, so to speak, and exercises to regain the mobility and strength back to function around the house doing necessary repairs and maintenance and to work in the garage on his beloved truck. Ryan thinks "outside the box" for each individual he works with to tailor their personal fitness goals to meet their specific needs and beyond. Not only does he listen to your needs, he listens to your body to help it acheive true functionality. Ryan is an empathetic trainer and seeks out the answers to your specfic needs which pushes you to want to work harder to reach your goals.

Ryan at Functional Fitness Ohio is an excellent personal trainer. I have been training with him for almost a year. I had total replacement of both hips in 2020 and started training with Ryan looking to strengthen the muscles that support those joints. The techniques I am learning are improving my posture, strengthening my core, drastically reducing the number of headaches I have and equalizing how I use my hips. Ryan is very knowledgeable, thorough and patient in teaching the techniques that are so beneficial to my progress. I would encourage anyone who wants to improve their overall well-being to check out what Ryan can offer.

Ryan has changed my life for the better. He has challenged the way I have always thought about working out. He has transformed the way I move, feel and even think about exercise. Ryan can benefit anyone at any stage of life. I am a 52-year-old mother of three, a nurse, a previous cross-fitter, and a functional medicine devotee. With everything I have done, Ryan has truly made a difference.

I am so grateful for Ryan and his deep understanding of how to properly train the human biomechanical systems. I am a circus performing artist. I get paid to be an athlete. However, I noticed this past summer that my body was starting to break down. I knew it was because of years of moving in a dysfunctional pattern of movements. I myself have my degree in exercise sciences, and I became a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. You would think that through all this knowledge, I would never be injured a day in my life. Wrong, applying what they taught me in school actually furthered my dysfunctions. They don't look at the deep core root of weaknesses. They only look at the surface. With the knowledge that Ryan has through his Functional Patterns speciality, he actually works very hard to find the core root of every dysfunction and works DILIGENTLY to fix it.
Also, Ryan actually cares deeply about every single one of his clients. He's a true craftsman. He has such a deep love and passion for his craft that it seems like functional patterns and human biomechanics is an art form for him. I HIGHLY, highly, highly recommend booking Ryan for his personal training sessions. He literally saves bodies.

I've had sever SI discomfort over 37 years at a rate of 7-8 /10 baseline, after only 1 single session with Ryan at FFO my pain decreased to ZERO. Ryan was able to set me up with a program where I'm knowledgeable of how to manage my symptoms and maintain a active lifestyle! Many thanks for sharing your knowledge and professionalism.
