Reid Memorial Park is hands-down one of the best golf experiences in the region. The fact that they have 36 holes is a huge bonus, offering both the challenging North Course and the more forgiving South Course. I recently played the North Course, and its rolling terrain, elevation changes, and tree-lined fairways were a fantastic challenge that really tested my game. The course was in superb condition, with well-manicured greens that were a pleasure to putt on.
What really sets Reid apart, though, is the incredible value and the fantastic staff. Everyone, from the pro shop to the grounds crew, is welcoming and makes you feel right at home. It's clear they take pride in their work and their course. The facilities are excellent, with a great driving range and a clubhouse that's perfect for unwinding after a round. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, Reid Memorial is a must-play destination that promises a memorable and enjoyable day on the links. I can't wait to go back!

Love Reid Park Golf Course. Been playing there over 35 years. BUT...it is under new management. They now have a bag drop. You drive your car on the cart path that is closest to the putting green. However, they said that people are complaining that they can't take the cart to their car, so they made exceptions today. Also whoever sat the gold tees (senior men) put them exactly on the womens tee on every hole. Yes, I asked them why and he they said that isn't right. Whoever did it must believe in men playing in women's sports. BIG NOOOO!!!

Regular at this course and it truly has so much potential however year after year it seems to deteriorate. Owners really need to invest in general TLC of the fairways with having long grass, a bunch of clover and weeds, rough looking greens and the cart paths are absolutely horrendous and falling apart.

Iβve been going to Reid golf course for about 4 years. I like the fact that they have 36 holes. The South course is one of my favorites to play on. My friends like to meet every week at Reid. The staff is great! Shout out to Curt, Pat and Marty!

This was once a golfing gem of Southwest Ohio. The new Management has run an underfunded Operation that cannot keep up maintenance on the course. As a result, playing conditions are horrible. They are on a downward spiral. it's such a shame. I used to love playing here.

I played the North course 10-20-24. Itβs sad to see the condition of the course. I only play it 2-3 times a year. But it seems like it gets worse each time. The greens have spots with damage area of thin or no grass. The fairways were fairly decent. The sr. tee boxes are small and crowned so youβre limiting compared to the other tees. Hopefully the staff can clean up the greens and gradually start enlarging the tee boxes for next year. I realize this year took a lot of water to keep the course playable

I have played here for probably 20years with its ups and downs but this summer the course has absolutely went to crap! The greens on the south are either60/80 %diseased or just dirt. They need to shut the south down till they figure it out. All they are doing at this point is taking your money!

Played five courses this fall and this was by far the best conditions I have seen. Played 9 holes. Fairways green, grass still standing and thick off fairways. Greens are level and course overall is very well-maintained. Few bare spots. One of the best golf courses around.

Donβt waste your money. Fairways are as hard as a rock and the greens look like they have received zero maintenance. Would recommend driving a few extra miles to play locust for much cheaper

We paid $45 each to golf the north course and were severely disappointed. The greens were in the worst shape I have ever seen them, and I have golfed that course for close to 40 years. With all the options around central ohio, we will not be returning to reid any time soon, and that sucks to say considering what the course once was.

Course is in horrible condition. Donβt waste your money. Both 18 hole courses have been let go with little to no maintenance. Every single green is diseased and dying. Fairways are burnt out in a lot of places. All bunkers are a mixture of gravel, large rocks, and a little sand. Not a single level tee box to be found on all 36 holes. What used to be a nice course is now a completely different animal.

Over the last month, they have really let this course get in BAD shape. Only 1 out of the 18 greens was in good condition, the rest of the greens had burn marks and were completely discolored. It was impossible to make any reads with how bad of shape the greens were. And there wasnβt a single sand bunker that was playable either, lots of them felt like concrete with weeds growing out of them. Sad to see such a great course become unplayable. Most of the fringes also had Astro turf in spots instead of grass. Will not be returning to this course.

The layout of the courses is fantastic and have always enjoyed playing here in the past, but they have really let the conditions deteriorate. All of the greens are filled with disease and burnout making them nearly impossible to putt on. The rest of the course is mowed with mowers that are cutting terribly uneven, with some fairways being nearly a second cut length. Need to see some improvement for me to return.

Haven't been to this course in about 10 years. It's in a MUCH better shape now. The course was beautiful with no issues. The only thing I'll complain about is the price, 25 bucks for 9 holes and a cart, oh and no coolers allowed... the price isn't awful but I would prefer 15-20 for 9 holes...

If you are going to charge summer rates in October, you need to have the leaves blown off every morning and have sand in your traps. Today was absolutely unacceptable and very disappointing. The abandoned areas with just dirt does not make it playable around the greens, very disappointed.

I've played this course for years but after today I think I'm done. The cart path is mostly craters, everything is overgrown, trash overflowing at every hole, bathrooms out of order, gas carts constantly backfiring, plus super slow pace of play and recently raised prices. Got to Windy Knoll or National Links instead.

The course itself, is great. A 36 hole public course in Springfield is great for the city. Kept in decent shape, playable (south) yet challenging (North). However, that's about it for the positives. If you love grumpy old men... then this place is for you. I can touch the course from my back yard, but I will typically drive 20-30 minutes in opposite directions to play elsewhere. Go play Windy Knoll or Locust Hills. They actually enjoy when people use their course.
From the staff, to the crew, and the patrons.... it's just over ran with grumpy old men. The only thing they seem to care about is their leagues (which bog up the course), and their senior citizens. In 2020, I had an Friday 8:45am tee time as a solo, and didn't finish until about 2 o'clock. I was behind 2 groups of seniors who wouldn't let me play through (I ended up skipping 2 holes). I inquired with the The proshop if they monitor pace of play at all... the response I got was pretty much that's just how it is, and it was on me for playing that course at that time. Fast forward to 2023, same thing. The older patrons act as they run the course (because it's been enabled). The culture is just old. The basics of operating a business are non existent. They seem to have forgotten they are providing a service for a customer to come have an experience... but yet they operate as the patron is the interruption. Don't you dare try to use the driving range, it is an inconvenience to them. Also, middle of May, range was still "closed for the season."
This place operates exactly how you would think a bunch of geriatric old men would run a business. They send out marketing e-mails or event updates that look like a 3rd grader created in Microsoft paint in 1994. Half the e-mail with be in all caps or random bold lettering. If they have a demo day, they will literally print a document on paper advertising the demo day... then take a picture of that document and add it to the an email. Or if they send out updates on their City-Am... they will do the same, print the tee sheet and take a low quality photo and add it to an email. They sent out results by taking photos of the hand written results taped to a window and adding the photos to an email. There are hundreds of email clients and applications that are better options. These are small things, but its just a tell that it's time to let a new generation take over.
Its been this way for years. They know that have people by the balls based on their convenience of their course and location. I just want to see a shift in culture. "The customer is the reason, not the interruption."
Hopefully by the time my 4 year old gets into golf things will have changed.
...the worst part is, I will probably be back again at some point because it is convenient and I'm an idiot who just loves to golf (often poorly).

Played Reid North today. The course was in really good shape. My only problem was the bunkers, they were all terrible. Grass was growing up in about half of them. The other half looked like they have not been attended to at all. This course could be a tremendous course with a little more care. π

4 stars for North course, 2 stars for South course. The North is kept up very nicely and is a fun layout. The South is a bit of a cow pasture. Still fun to play, but I expect more out of a golf course. You get what you pay for with the price. If you're expecting Torrey Pines, you're crazy, but if you want a place to drink some beers with buddies and play a loose 18, then this is the place to go.

One star because the only good thing about the place is the restaurant. The driving range is closed a lot. I know we've had rain but the course is in bad shape. Drive carts in the rough only but be careful as you may get stuck in the rough. No yard markers in the fairway. No ball cleaners at the tree box and if your lucky that they do have one it doesn't have any water in it. Other golfers today we're complaining about the conditions of the course and said they should probably charge winter rates as bad as it is. I think our group is done playing there for good. Again if you want good food go to the restaurant as that's the only good thing about it. It hasn't seemed to have gotten any better. Think twice before playing here.

Played 9 on South Course the other day. Was not in the best condition...grass seems like it may not be cut often? Not sure if it was due to recent rains or if south is neglected in favor of North. Was tough to find balls even if you knew where to look.

Apparently the new ownership does honor the deals previous owners have made. Purchased digital golf pass this year, went to use it at reid yesterday, they refused to honor the coupon, saying this was made with previous owners. It may just be a couple of dollars, but I can golf more when I save more. Brought a buddy that has not golfed reid, have more friend with digital golf pass that like to try new courses. It's really getting to me that a new owner does not want new business, when we golfed there yesterday, two other cars in parking lot on a 70Β° day. I really doubt if I go back, when there are three courses within ten miles if reid. I traveled 35 minutes to golf there. I will take my money and friends elsewhere.

This course winds through some fairly hilly land. There are a host of blind shots, so if you are in a cart (and have time) drive ahead and look at where you are going. Nice views, and a lot of exciting shots. It''s a popular place with a very reasonable green fee. It seems to be home to a lot of retiree leagues, so your mileage may vary in the earlier morning. It is a good deal tougher than most municipal courses (and definitely harder than its companion South Course). It have played it twice and like it more each time I play it. If you are not accurate, you will not score. The South Course is much more walkable, more forgiving and still pretty interesting.
Well maintained, greens are nice, everyone very pleasant in the clubhouse and the simple restaurant. One of the best values for golf I have found this year.
