Mike has been absolutely amazing to work with! He is extremely knowledgeable. Not only does he take the time to show and explain the movement, he explains why we are doing that particular exercise, its benefits, and how it will help me to reach my goals. I'm doing movements and exercises I never would have thought to do on my own. I recently had shoulder surgery, and he has built a customized program around that to help me rebuild strength, but more importantly, get back my full range of motion. I'm so thankful I started working with Mike.

I found Mike on Google about 2 months ago. From the get go, he was incredibly kind and receptive to me and my goals. He has helped me greatly with my fitness and nutrition goals. He also strikes a good balance of pushing you but respecting where you are at on a given day. The gym itself is a great vibe and I always leave the gym feeling better than when I got there. I have just gotten back into training and I must say that Mike is the best personal trainer that I have ever worked with. His attention to detail and total explanation of my workouts has been phenomenal. At age 63, he has designed workouts that specifically target my specific body type. Mike is the best. I started working out with Mike in January after working out on my own for several years. He brings so much knowledge about fitness, and adds a lot of personality and humor to make me look forward to my training sessions. I'll ask about a certain exercise and he not only will show me how to personalize it to fit my body and my goals, but he will explain it to me. His workouts are individualized, total body workouts with an emphasis on what I want to work on in particular. They are also different each week, which keeps it interesting. Even though I only work out with him once a week, he will write a program for me to do on my own at the gym I'm a member of. He checks in with me during week to see how it's going and to see if I have questions. He goes far and above what I ever expected from a personal trainer. And, did I say that Mike is just a really good guy? I really enjoy working out with him.

Mike does a great job of both meeting you where you are and pushing you towards your goals. Strength training is my goal and as each week goes by I notice improvement - not just when working out but also in every day activities. Mike’s particular talent is making each person feel comfortable in what might be an unfamiliar environment. Mike has been a true inspiration to me. I have suffered from back pains from a surgery a number of years ago and have always been nervous about working out and getting in shape. Mike has always keep that at the front of his mind as he creates workout programs for me. He always keeps things fun, engaging, and professional. I've worked with several trainers over the years and Mike is without a doubt the best. Every workout is tailored to my specific goals and I never feel like they drag on, are overly repetitive, or like any effort is wasted. His workouts and different modalities have set me well ahead of where I'd be on my own. I also appreciate his emphasis on proper form and safety. I have a few old injuries that I've had to work around. Mike was able to set workouts that kept these issues in mind and helped me to carefully re-strengthen problem spots while still working toward my overall strength goals. I can honestly say that I am stronger now in my 30s than I ever was in my 20s. I cannot recommend Mike highly enough!!!!

Mike is great. He listens to your wants and needs. He also wants to know about what you are already doing and where you want to go. We worked out a training time, diet, and are gradually moving through movements as my skill and strength increase. I happen to workout at a time with another client. That is where you see that your training is Personal. I teach martial arts, so my experience is more movements for power and strength instead of “show muscles”. I enjoy my time with Mike. He’s become a friend through the work we’ve put in.

I called on a whim looking for a personal trainer, having never hired one before outside of trying one or two at the “big box gyms”. Mike really listened to me and got to know me on the phone and in our first meeting.
I have always had a hard time with social anxiety going to the gym and usually stop because of it, but I find myself looking forward to my sessions with Mike each time. He’s easy to work with, but challenges me on every workout and he makes it fun for me. The moves are interesting and I love that they use functional movements. He also lets me know what the move is targeting and why we’re doing them, which I appreciate.
I’m really happy I made that first phone call!
