As a new teenage dancer this studio and it's amazing staff takes care of all their dancers and focuses on improvement of all their dancers. With a wide variety of classes, levels, and teachers there is truly something for everyone no matter how long you have been dancing. The teachers are so kind and give detailed corrections and instructions while maintaining a kind and energetic environment. I really recommend this studio for any dancer looking for a kind environment to improve their skills no matter where they are at. I love it here so much and always feel welcomed by the students, teachers, and staff!

If you are looking for a dance studio for your child you found the place. The owners Ken & Sharie are beyond kind and amazing. The dance teachers are great and experienced. My 6 year old has 2 full years of dance and learned more in 4 weeks than she did over 2 years at her last studio, she is also happier here in this environment. Not all studios are created equal but Rock City has truly exceeded all of my families expectations.

Sherry and Ken are just the best duo I have ever seen. What a beautiful studio. I have never seen my niece felt as welcomed as she did as well awake as many friends too. When you bring your kids here it feels so natural and not pushed. They come here to do what they love and enjoy every moment and sherry/ken know what they are doing. Ken is so awesome too talking to children!! And his interaction with them are wonderful!! His skills are impeccable. Sherry is such a beautiful soul and she KNOWS how to dance. Her ideas are just inspirational and she knows just what to say. I mean they really have such a great thing going. Worth every dime.

We were able to try some classes for free to see which my granddaughter would like best and she chose Hip Hop….. this class has taught her dance skills and so much more! Both my children attend this amazing dance school . Excited for recital on Sunday . Both of my shy children have grown out of the box since the beginning of their classes . Both owners of this school are amazing loving people (husband and wife ) very hands on with everything get back to you asap with answers to any questions or concerns the fact that there are so many options and children can do multiple classes a week to tackle what they love . 💗 all the teachers are beyond amazing I’m so happy we came across this dance school . If i could give 100/10 stars we would !!! We found this dance school in December via Facebook , we were offered a free trial class and have been hooked ever since , amazing customer service both owners (husband & wife) are very hands on with the students and parents , excellent communication and helped us with all questions , my children who are very shy in the shell kids came here and thrived ! They are attending next weeks dance recital and i never thought my kids would be getting out there with other kids and in front of other people . The schedule flexibility is Amazing the variety of classes offered is PERFECT for both winter and their summer camp classes . So beyond thrilled we came across this place and forever grateful to Mr.Ken & Miss . Sherie for opening this dance school for these amazing kids to follow their hearts and dreams 💝

I've had a great experience with Rock City Dance. My daughter is in both hip hop and princess ballet, and the instructors are kind, thorough, and keep the kids engaged. When I asked to move her to an older group, they were very understanding and accommodating. Everything seems well-organized, and we're looking forward to the recital. We'd definitely return if she wants to keep dancing

I absolutely love and recommend this place. The owners are so nice and accommodating. The prices are reasonable, the instructors are awesome! I can tell how much everyone here genuinely cares about what they do. My kid loves class, she has so much fun and made some great friends. If you're on the fence they'll let you do a free practice class and I really loved that too. Great people here.

This is our first year with Rock City Dance . My daughter loves it. We’re doing competition teams. We’re also doing ballet and contemporary. Her ballet teacher is amazing. We love the studio. Everybody is so welcoming and understanding. Ken and Sharie are the best.

We came to the studio in 2020-2021 amazing experience so we tried classes again last season. Unfortunately we came towards the end of the season. We were able to participate in a full month of classes. When the last month came around they only ran half the month but we paid for the full month.I did reach out and was told usually people don't complain because they don't charge more for the months with more days. I get that but we came at the end of the season. Ken was very polite and offered us a credit towards another class. However it's not the same atmosphere anymore. We felt like they didn't want us there. They interacted with other families just fine. I'm not sure if it was because of the end of season and everyone had enough already but definitely didn't feel welcomed anymore.

Just started my second daughter at RCD and she’s already asking me hourly when her next class is. We have been at Rock City Dance for 3 years and I love watching the growth in technique and love of dance happen consistently. LOVE the dance teachers SO much and you can tell they love what they do. Melaina and Karina are amazing and have helped my older daughter grow not only in her dance technique but with her confidence as well! I’ve heard nothing but positive things from friends who have the other instructors as well! The studio has a big lobby with big, open windows on each room wall that allow you to view the class if you want which is a big plus for me. Spring recital is in a beautiful performing arts center and summer classes offered. Excited to start our 4th season at Rock City Dance!!

My daughter goes there now and even though the class times are very convenient there is no student teacher interaction. Students are rushed in at 630 and taught a couple steps and then rushed out. I don't even think the teacher knows my daughter's name at all. I know we don't pay for personal lessons but having that relationship builds a relationship with the students is important and this school lacks in that area. My daughter is truly interested in dancing and wants to become better and is willing to put the effort but I feel like it's over looked by all the koas in the class due to lack of time and focus involved by the teacher interest in getting to know her students.

Rude staff will not allow you to see your children during recital holding them hostage and they are kept in the back poorly supervised. Kids swearing with poor behavior in back. Routine was changed multiple times with a different instructor almost every week. Kids had no idea what was going on. Will not be using this place again.

I’m in Ballet l but IT WAS THE BOMB I love how we practiced our leaps we also do splits! It may seem i’m in Ballet IV but i’m NOT. The recital has good costumes they also get the right size! This was a bit short but, it’s GREAT

Took a beginners hip hop adult dance class and it was SO MUCH FUN! I was visiting the city for work and wanted to take a class. So I took the level 1 hip hip. I was actually really surprised at what they considered "beginners" bc I felt like I was in a music video! The teacher Kyle was awesome and he breaks down everything so it doesn't feel rushed. All levels of dance, no judging, etc. Definitely recommend this studio.

I would like to mirror Jim K's comments. The recital this year was terrible. It really was a showcase for the teachers. And I agree, there are MANY incredibly talented teachers at RCD, however, this was not their time, it was the kids, and their families. We were incredibly disappointed this year. Too bad.

Miss Sharie & Mr. Ken,

Just a note to show my appreciation of the talent you employee in your studio and the performance on Saturday. You have several talented individuals you employee and should be proud of them. Although I thought the show was miss named, I believe it would have more appropriate to be called “Salute to the Staff” or maybe “Tribute to the Teachers”.
When did it become the norm for an instructor to over shadow a student? Was this not a performance for the children? Are you and your instructors that insecure that we repeatedly needed to see solo acts and your staff’s participation in acts when we attended the show to appreciate the talents of our own family, or was this just a feebly preformed act to try and entice others to join your studio. You do have many talented students who provided an enjoyable afternoon and evening show, we would have liked to see more of them, and less of you.
I am curious if the younger children had any instruction other than to look off stage and attempt to follow the actions of the instructors. Yes their young, but if you can’t teach them, then don’t use them as a cash source to embarrass yourself. If I would have paid for a winter of classes, I would have demanded my money back.
Programs, is Office Max out of business, they will deliver before the day of the performance.
It’s obvious you like the spot light and I’m sure a backpack with a light can be found to shine down on your head, but to hold the audience captive while you pat your staff and yourself on the back at the end of the show, then present a commercial, is ridiculous.
This could have been great for the students, but was a great disappointment to friends and family.

We had an AMAZING personal class for my sister's bachelorette party. We did a hop-hop class, and edith was FANTASTIC, and we all LOVED her. She was fun, friendly and totally ok that we didn't know anything. All of the girls are asking me when we can do it again, and it will definitely be soon!!!

Rock City Dance is without a doubt one of the most positive things to happen to my three daughters. After being at another studio where the girls had a negative experience we went to Rock City. The entire year we have been there has been nothing but a blast for the girls. Ken and Sheri not only offer an affordable family option but seem to really care about every single student. The focus is on learning to dance really well but within the context of an environment where people are made to feel like they are part of a whole dance community. This is all offered along with instructors that truly are outstanding at whatever dance they teach. My girls love being up at the studio and even if one of their sisters is dancing they have to go to just be a part of the environment. If you have young children who love to dance and need a great place to learn I highly reccomend Rock City Dance.
