You would think 27 holes would be an advantage for faster play, but not on this course. You get a designated 18, but then comes the crowd that’s either starting off or making the turn off their first nine. So play here is very slow. There’s no markers 50 yards in front of the greens, so carts drive up on the green collars. No ropes near the tees, so carts drive up on the collars of the tees. Greens are pitted with ball marks, probably due to the catering to rec golfers, so you can fix your mark and 2-3 others and hardly put a dent in the marks on the greens. You also have five sums or six sums that are allowed on the course.

This course is being ran as a money pit. Good for them, but this is not the place for real golfers. Don’t waste your time or money here.

The first 4-5 holes were pretty decent but the next half was the worst time I’ve had golfing. Not one of the holes were kept. The grass wasn’t cut and it was a swamp all around the ponds. Plus the prices were way too much.

Kudos to Sablecreek and Ray and Theresa from an outing we had this past weekend for a dear friend of ours who passed away. We had well over 125 golfers and the entire outing was incredible, start to finish. Carts were aligned right, registration was a breeze, the staff were more than accommodating to us, and the course was in fantastic condition. Thank you Sablecreek for an excellent weekend!!

Grew up playing this course, but when I called in Ann was the nicest person I’ve spoke to in sometime. She was patient and let me call her back to when I figured out how many holes we wanted to play. I know it’s a great place to play golf. That’s why I’m driving three hours from Columbus to play here. Love it!

PACE OF PLAY.

First time playing this course and it took us 3.25 hours to play nine holes. When we made the turn we asked about the pace of play and was told that the course is busy and there is nothing that they can do. There were five groups on ten tee when we made the turn. They charge over $60 for a very average course with awful pace of play. I managed to play 10 holes and left and will never be back. I would avoid this course.

Not a fan. While the course is beautiful and the staff seems nice, the starter provided no delay between parties causing impatient players to ride up our butt and cuss us out in front of my 16 year old daughter. I suggest finding another place that values the customer experience rather than solely the profit.

UPDATE... Have taken my son there several times last year. They're very nice to us now. He & I enjoy going there now & the course was in good shape. They really worked hard to bring it back. .....4 yrs ago, There are several places there is absolutely no green grass. We had to wait to tee off bc they over booked so even though we were plenty early we sat and waited for almost 20 minutes. Then at the turn the starter let a new group of guys go in front of us. Not an enjoyable experience at all. The only good thing were the nice coolers on the carts that is great!

Played 18 holes on Tuesday of this week, Black and Maroon. Unfortunately I left my send wedge on the 18th green. I did not discover the loss until I was home cleaning my clubs. A quick phone call to the clubhouse and an explanation to the courteous woman behind the desk brought a quick promise to look for the lost club. Within an hour, a phone call reported the club found. I can't say enough about the professional staff and their willingness to go above and beyond their normal duties. Besides the course being in excellent shape, the staff is the Best. Paid premium rate for a Sunday 9, selected and confirmed black course for the length and challenge. Paid, and nothing was said about moving us to the extremely undesirable and short gold track….. get out to the starter and he sent us off on gold. Played the whole thing in under an hour and a half, politely approached the manager in the clubhouse about rain checking a few holes to come back and get what we paid for. Flatly denied what was a very reasonable request from a customer on our first visit to the course. For a local who plays at least a round a week, changing our track on zero notice and being unwilling to do anything to make it right is very poor business. We won’t be back!!

Ps- Upon getting to the first tee on the “gold” track, the posted yardages were obviously extremely overestimated. I used my range finder from every tee box and most posted yardages were over estimated by 80-100 yards. This golf track was overestimated by almost 800 yards! They are being exceptionally deceptive to try and fake the value for this course at their price point and it’s just not there. Shame on you Sable Creek!

Unless you want the starter to shake his head and tell you you’re not playing your round unless you play quick, don’t even think about this course. Was eventually sent off to the first hole after being told if we weren’t back by a certain time we weren’t playing the back 9 which had already been paid for a day prior. This was our first time here. My wife and I were playing 18 holes. We were on #8 of the second nine. The three men behind us started yelling profanity at us because I tried a second putt from the same spot as my first putt. I only started playing 2 yrs ago and I am still learning the game. Then we were on #9 tee box and I hit a second shot (as we had no idea the entire day the layout of the course) and he then yelled some awful foul language!! It is very disturbing that people can be so rude and hateful. I shared this with the owner when we were finished. Not sure if she can do anything about this, however with people like this playing on their course I will never be back to play here and I will most definitely share with everyone I know.

Course is nice and well-kept. However, they allow leagues to cut you off at the turn. All 9 hole courses had leagues, so there is no where for you to go. Pace of play was absolutely terrible thanks to the slow leagues (some of the men could't hit it to the women's tee box). 3+ hours for 9 holes is assinine! No rangers on course to move people along. At one point there were 5 groups on hole 8. Will never come back!

Sable Creek is a nice course.Just played today.Very crowded and the starter inserted a twosome in front of us as we made the turn.Had to wait every hole on the backside.When I ask him why ...he stated that he had to put them someplace.??? Don't take walk-ons...that is why you have tee times!!!!

Got to play here today while I was in town and it was fantastic. It stormed all night until about an hour before my tee time and the course still played well. The fairways and greens ran great! I used their rental clubs so I didn’t have to haul mine from states away and even those were nice for older clubs. I’d suggest maybe a 12 degree driver over 10, but that’s being super picky haha. The ranger was super helpful in making sure I was on the right courses and recommended which ones to play out of the 3 to choose. It was also nice to him put me (a single player) as a priority over full groups so I didn’t get hung up. Will totally play next time im in town

Don't know how I've been golfing for 7 years now, and didn't find this place that's only 20 min from me. Very forgiving course, still challenging. Enough water to be scary but should stay out of your way. 27 holes, so I've only tried the Gold and Maroon. I will definitely be back to try the Black and okay this place again. Staff was great, and the greens were amazingly accurate (which means I was horrible at them)

This course is beautiful. The greens... Perfect. The fairways... Awesome. The tees.... Nice. They keep this place so clean. There's no weeds. The roughs are lush and thick and tough to get the ball out of. I've been golfing all summer and this is the first time I didn't need bug spray. There were no bugs. It was great. They also have port a jons throughout the course, which is nice for us women. They are clean. The people who work there are super nice. The mowers and workers are courteous to the golfers. And it's nice that they have more than a hot dog and sausage sandwich to offer at the turn. Great place. We will definitely be back again and are excited to see the newly planted fairways.

Can’t find a better value! The course is kept in amazing shape and the greens are country club level. All three sets of 9 have their own distinct challenges and picturesque holes. The staff is nice, great range and practice facility (2 separate putting greens and 2 separate chipping with bunkers). I’ve been golfing here for over 15 years and the consistency delivered is unprecedented. I like to vary my course play but it’s hard to golf most public courses when comparing them to Sable Creek. Thank you for creating and maintaining such a wonderful Experience!!

It's a 27 hole golf course. The fairways are fairly wide. The greens are nice to putt with most greens having slight slope. I don't recommend playing the course after heavy or lengthy rain as the fairways get very soft.
