About the Club

We are a martial arts school focused on teaching traditional southeast Asian martial arts focused on modern application. Our goal is to prepare our students to apply these arts in a non rehearsed self defense situation. Each of our arts allow students to focus on a different aspect of self defense. Muay Thai is striking focused, Pekiti Tirsia Kali allows students to explore blunt and edged weapon application and Indonesian Silat teaches students a variety of takedowns, locks and controls. We provide a safe environment where students can grow and explore the arts at the pace that's right for their skill level.

This School is a wonderful place to learn three disciplines in martial arts. If you are in need of a challenge. First challenge is walking through the door. Second is to challenge yourself to make a change. Drop by for a few kicks.

I am a total beginner in martial arts, and was looking to find a nonjudgmental gym to begin in that would also teach me legitimate self defense and fighting skills. I was a little nervous to go at first, but that soon went away as I saw how friendly, knowledgeable, and fun the instructors were. They also teach all different kinds of people, men and women, young and old, beginner to advanced, and cater the class to your experience level while also pushing you. They are also really good at teaching the flow of the martial art and teaching you to become intuitive in your movements. I am so glad I found this gym!

School of Combative Arts is freaking awesome. Jason, Alejandro, and Madeline do an excellent job of teaching and training their students (of all levels) while also preserving the art of their craft. This isn't like a 9Round or kickboxing class you take at the Y, you're learning proper technique by getting 1:1 time with the instructors and other students. Considering I've never taken a martial arts class in my life, I felt like the instructors paid attention to my level of fitness and my comfort in the moves. Overall, I would highly recommend this school to anyone wanting to try out martial arts for the first time or for anyone wanting a good, sweaty workout!

This is a great place to learn martial arts. Excellent instruction in a focused and well disciplined environment. There is a wide array of students with various goals all training together. Everyone pretty much knows each other and are welcoming. Highly recommended.

Mr. Neff and his fellow instructors have created a truly wonderful place to learn and train. You will be hard pressed to find a better community of people who will instruct, train and fine tune your marital art skills than School of Combative Arts. The center is clean, organized and well-operated. The moment you step into the studio, you can tell this is Mr. Neff’s PASSION and will always be his passion to educate others in a safe, comfortable environment. I highly recommend this martial studio to beginners, intermediate martial artists and experienced martial artists who want to perfect their art. Mr. Neff has experience leading class with a variety of skill levels and can effectively manage the class so that all students leave class drenched in sweat and satisfied with their accomplished that day! I look forward to training at Mr. Neff’s studio every week!
