I'd like to write a long, detailed positive review about Doug Gibson and the Sensible Fitness team of trainers...but it would take several pages, and nobody wants to wade through that in a review. Long story short...I was very lucky to have stumbled across SF in a Google search and review last September. Doug and his team are first rate, and they helped me discover a potential and a desire to work out that I didn't know existed before. If you're stuck in a rut, undisciplined, unmotivated, and don't know what your next step should be...contact Doug and get started today. Best life choice I've made in a very long time.

After many years of basketball, including college and in Europe, my body hurt and I wasn't able to do things that used to be easy. I have been working with Doug and his trainers for almost 3 years now and it has been the best decision I've made. Doug's ability to push me while keeping prior sports injuries in mind has enabled me to prepare (and recover) from knee replacement surgery and do things I haven't been able to do in years. 100% recommend!!!

Doug and his team are amazing!! I have workout at SF for 4 years!! I'm down 40 lbs, living a healthy lifestyle and loving life. I love the group I work out with, we challenge and support each other!! It takes a village and I found my health minded friends at Sensible Fitness.

I joined Doug and his team about 5 months ago with the purpose of helping me with life goals and motivating me to get my health back in shape. I couldn’t ask for a better place and a great person to learn from. Doug truly cares about his clients and I can also say that if you stick to what he tells you and take it further, results will happen. Been working with Doug for a 4 months. The results are impressive. In that amount of time I've dropped 5 pant sizes and my wife has dropped 2. We both have more energy and feel better too. Sensible Fitness is well named. Fitness for anyone that is reasonable, challenging, and not over the top. The trainers here are knowledgeable and will find a way to help you at whatever level of training you wish. If you have limitations, they are excellent at finding a way to get to a healthier you. I have been working with Doug for almost 2 years and can’t say enough good things about him and the other trainers at Sensible Fitness. Doug initially helped me rehab from a shoulder injury, but by the time that improved, I was hooked. He is skilled at gearing the workouts based on your individual abilities and goals, and ensures proper form to help prevent injury. Every workout is different and it is never boring. I have also worked with Patty many times and think very highly of her as well.
I now have my 14 year old son working with Doug to help him get ready for his downhill mountain biking season. He really enjoys his time there and it has been great to help him get stronger, as well as learn proper technique for weight lifting. Sensible Fitness has a low-key and non-judgmental atmosphere so it is a nice place for everyone. Love this place...highly recommend!

I’ve never been comfortable going to a gym, but I instantly felt at home here. Doug and his team are super friendly and they’re great listeners — they push, but they’re not pushy. I intended to just go learn enough to do it at home by myself (which they were more than happy to teach) but having that scheduled time and support is incredibly helpful, so I just kept going and I’m thrilled with the results. If you’re intimidated by the kind of gyms you see on TV (douchebag meatheads haha) - then go here, it’s awesome.

I have been working out with Doug and staff for more than 20 years. It is a fun, friendly atmosphere, and I like that you are welcome there no matter your fitness level; several others who work out there are in my demographic of 'female, fat and over 50'. He challenges you, while making adjustments based on your ability, and the focus is always on what you CAN do. I went in recently after a fall that left me unable to use my left ankle, knees, right shin and left wrist, and he still figured out how to give me a full body workout! Doug has helped me reach several goals such as The Carew Climb, a century bike ride, and a double century bike ride. Next, I plan to ride across the U.S.

I’ve been working out at Sensible Fitness for sixteen years. I had originally intended to come for six weeks and learn how to lift weights safely and continue on my own. Sixteen years later I am still working out at Sensible Fitness. Most importantly for me, they have taught me how to safely train for my age and ability. Every workout is a little bit different so I am always challenged and interested. There is a wide variety of equipment and the trainers stay up to date with current methods. Each workout is individually tailored to the client’s needs and abilities. And, if that is not enough, it is a FUN place to get fit. I could probably design my own workouts after all these years—but I get a better workout and have more fun doing it at SF!

Doug Gibson has been my health and lifestyle coach for over six years. For the past 8 years I have been training at Sensible Fitness. I was initially referred to Doug after surgery for a herniated disk. My goal was to increase my strength and fitness without causing injury. Doug and the other trainers have helped me to get into the best shape of my life and have given me the confidence to enjoy being physically active without hurting myself. The Sensible Fitness Boost Boot Camp is an excellent means of obtaining a 50 minute workout that combines strength training and cardio to improve muslce tone and definition. Boost has a weekly rotating exercise schedule which helped me exercise various muscle groups while maintaining an elevated heartrate during the workout. Each class is led by a qualified personal trainer who ensures proper form and technique are being used by each participant. After a few months of participation in this boot camp I have noticed increased strength and improved muscle tone. The ab workout at the end is always challenging, but a great way to ensure my core stays strong. I highly recommend Boost for the results it produces!
