Would not recommend tanning at shape up if you are working or will have any sudden life events. I signed up for a six month tanning package with the impression of its being a set rate for six months. I was not aware you could not cancel until the six months is up. I am moving jobs and will not be in Logan for the tanning hours. They told me I will either need a doctors note as to why I can’t tan and they might not even cancel the membership they might just pause it until you are cleared, or you can email them proof as to why you can no longer tan and they will submit for review to a third party company. When I asked for the third party companies phone number I was told that they only use email and the employee I have been talking to would have to speak with the owners about it. I told the employee I had spoken with my bank about this and she said that they will submit the paperwork I signed and it will become a whole thing. I have only tanned four times, I didn’t want a refund I just wanted to cancel my membership. I asked about paying a fee to cancel my contract and I was advised that they do not do that. The beds were clean however a little bit older but still did good the few times I tanned, overall would not recommend.
