Update: I'm doing the 3 month summer special this year again (2nd time). The rec center hours are terrible in the summer, so I need another gym. This was great last year and looking forward to using snap for the summer again this year. FYI I had NO issue signing up and cancelling to use this just over the summer last year. Also, I checked out sparked society up the street - they are nearly twice as expensive ($55/mo sparked, $33/mo summer special snap) and they looked busier when I was there. Also, sparked is darker (I prefer working out in as bright a space as possible).

Good gym, had all the equipment that I need. I do deadlift squats bench press all with free weights. Wasn't crowded when I was there Monday evening. The few people that were there were very considerate of each other. I wish the colors of the gym were brighter it's all black. I prefer bright spaces but so many gems go for this really dark motif. They could use some more plates for their freeways but there happened to be enough that night for those of us who are there. If there were one other person using the barbells there would not have been enough plates.

How do I even get ahold of anyone at this gym? My son had a .membership he tried and tried to get out of before he moved back home 2 hrs away. We had a collection agency call numerous times in 2022 to 2023. They were very unprofessional and seemed like we were being scammed. Either way we paid this place and never heard from them again u til TODAY over a yr later trying to say we owe snap fitness again. I explained that was paid and he says we need to fund when exactly it was paid so he can look I to it. Sounds very fishy to me. Please be careful of this gym and Feldman & Stern collections (if that's even a legit place).

Your money would be better spent at the Esporta down the road. It is much nicer and costs 1/3rd less than this place. Sadly, Snap in Clintonville is usually dirty, only has cleaning supplies half the time to even wipe equipment down, many of the treadmills and machines are often out of order, and the TVs do not even work. The key cards often stop working randomly. There are also cockroaches. The bathrooms are not cleaned. Those things may be because of the Mexican restaurant next door but they are still problems. These are not normal issues you have at any gym. They are much worse. The man who works there is not the most helpful with these problems. He is borderline rude. The defensive responses to legitimate negative reviews tell you all you need to know. I switched to Esporta and have not looked back.

I wouldn’t recommend this gym, sadly they work with a so-called collection agency in Florida that is known for being verbally abusive, lying and threatening previous snap fitness customers. The owner is well aware of this since he pays this company.

I want to preface that my grievance isn’t with the fact that my payment went to collection but the fact that this so-called collections agency that called private, no introduction or name, lied, threatened me with legal action, and was verbally abusive.

Sadly this reflects snapfitness as a business since they are aware of the complaints and yet still provide money to whom I would assume is some man working alone in Florida. Ohio has laws that protects Individuals from abusive debt collectors so I could only imagine why someone might outsource a collection agency.

I've been trying to cancel my membership with them for MONTHS. I completed the paperwork and turned it in in October. It is now July and they are still charging me. I have had to go to my bank and dispute charges several times. I've called. I've emailed. And yet they continue to charge me every month. Oh, they have also refused to refund me the money. Terrible terrible customer service. If you live in Clintonville go to Spark Society instead. They have more space, better equipment, are also open 24/7 and actually have customer service.

Best gym ever. No frills, open 24-7, never unpleasantly crowded (even at peak times), has all of the equipment you need for a workout.

although the gym is fine (decent options for equipment although pretty limited), i am currently locked out of the gym because there is NO SIGN indicating you need to take your badge into the apparently shared bathroom with local cantina? clearly zero concern for member safety here.

Been a member for three years. No frills gym. Has the basics. 24 hour a day access is a plus. No locker/changing room. Sometimes equipment is broken for an extended period of time.

A small 24/7 gym. Been a member for 1.5 years, and go 3-5 times a week at different times. Though it is small and equipment is somewhat limited, I can do everything I want and almost never have an issue getting on the equipment I want. Even if something I need is being used, the other members are generally courteous and accommodating. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because it generally takes longer than a week to fix a busted piece of equipment (there have only been two instances of this happening in all the time I’ve been a member, so it could be worse).

Don’t come to this gym! I’m very unsatisfied. 😡 I came in today and the boss told the worker to tell me that I couldn’t workout there any more, that I had to pay $20. I’ve been going there for about 2 years now. He accused me of bringing a guest when I didn’t bring anyone. He immediately got an attitude, when I asked if he checked any cameras he said he didn’t when he had plenty of days to do so. He lied saying he sent me a text related to this matter. There were four people that day, 3 white and I was the only Latino. I’m angry because he only accused me instead of asking the other people at all. He told me to return my card, he threatened to send me to collections when I’m in prepay not in a contract. Instead of fixing the he gave me an attitude and then said he doesn’t care he’s just here for the money. If you don’t like your job at least do it right! If not then don’t work there at all! I don’t recommend coming to this place they could care less about their customers!😡 My $ went down to waste

Started my membership at this gym in February and paid the first month and it’s fees. I then waited over a month, meaning I paid a second months fee, without getting a pass. I called them and after some nagging I managed to get in to work out. I had one life in the gym only for all nonessential businesses to be put on hold. Whatever them being shut down isn’t their fault. During the pandemic I ended up losing my debt card I had the subscription billed too. Since I also moved in this period of time I didn’t correct the payment assuming that would be the end of it. Then I get a call from them telling me I’m not just on the hook for the last months subscription but I have to cancel 30 days in advance. Basically shaking me down for 80 bucks for a gym I used once, not because I didn’t show up, but because I never received my pass.

Horrific experience with this gym. During the pandemic when no one was using the gym and my contract had lapsed, they sent my balance due to a collections agency (Feldman and Stern) without warning. The office is not staffed and there is no one to contact. WHATEVER YOU DO, GO TO A DIFFERENT GYM. DO NOT GO HERE.

Went to cancel my membership at the beginning of the Coronavirus shutdown. Snap fitness suggested a hold on the account so I could reopen the account whenever without occurring a new membership fee. Apparently, the "hold" only lasts for a month. Unbeknownst to me, the money I owe the gym was sold to a third party debt collection agency. Avoid chain gym memberships.

Decent Gym, Horrible policies. Misplaced debit card and had to get a new physical card from my financial institution. I was taking some time off from the gym due to a recent injury. Changing my account (which was setup as auto-pay) slipped my mind. Less than two weeks later I was receiving phone calls from some duplicitous collections "firm" masquerading as a law firm. Likely some former law enforcement turned P.I kinda guy. You know, the one from all the t.v shows and movies. The guy who develops a heavy drinking problem after being kicked off the force, eyeballs his firearm longing for the bravery to just pull the trigger, etc. I elaborate in this manner as this "firm" is trolling social media and attempting to retrieve contact information from any known associates. They spoof their phone number and call from restricted a lot. I'm talking four phone calls a day, and not just me but my family members as well. While I enjoyed my time at this gym I do not desire to be affiliated with a place that sicks a predatory and rather disreputable collections agency on you less than two weeks of a missed payment. Allegedly attempts were made to contact me, but I have no record of such correspondence. Once again, the gym aint bad. On the smaller side but feels private and secluded. However be sure to make your payments or you'll get some guy threatening you with "court processes very soon." I'm not a financial expert but I'm pretty sure non-payment does not go to a court case after two weeks of delinquency. Likely just an intimidation tactic by former lt. liquor and his laptop. I got five bucks this "firm" is one old washed up cop with a ton of cat-fishing social media accounts. BEWARE

Just joined for the summer special, but I hope I can afford to keep it up. The gym is very clean, the equipment seems in great shape, and Christina who signed me up is nice, enthusiastic, and supportive. It's small, but people still seem to have quite enough room so they don't inhibit anyone else. The only downside is that Local Cantina is next door, and you want to go and reward yourself for a nice workout.

I really like the gym because it has parking and it has everything you need for a solid workout. There’s free weights, one squat rack, one 45 lb barbell and one lighter one (maybe 35 lb?) for squats and deadlifts, lots of weight machines, several treadmills, a spin bike, a recliner bike, and a few ARC trainers (which I love! My other gym got ride of theirs so I’m happy Snap has a few!). It’s never been crowded when I go, which is also fabulous. The place is also kept clean. There’s no locker room but there is a bathroom you could change in if needed. Roman signed me up and the other staff seem friendly as well. I highly recommend!!

So, I had a membership for a year or two. I lost my wallet in November, and replaced my debit card--I guess I forgot to update my info. A law firm just contacted *my boyfriend's father* and said they were going to "file papers against me." I've spent the last hour trying to calm my boyfriend and his father down because they are so creeped out. I have no idea how they found contact info for my boyfriend's dad, but they're clearly willing to use a shady collections company to stalk you on social media if you ever miss a payment. I wouldn't go back there if they started paying *me.* There are so many other gyms out there--save yourself the hassle.

In the several months that I've been a member here, I have had nothing but great experiences!

The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, and always available when I have a question. The location is intimate in size, but it never feels crowded. The equipment is kept functional and very clean, and the facility is kept well air-conditioned. The fellow members have all been friendly, as well - I've never felt judged for my speed on a treadmill, nor for the amount of weights I'm lifting.

Overall, I've been extremely happy with my time here, and I strongly recommend you checking it out if you're looking to join a new gym!

I love that this gym is truly 24/7. I used to have a membership to another "27/7" gym that would be closed on certain days. Another perk is the fact that I can workout at other locations conveniently at no extra cost. I've had 3 personal training sessions with Brittany, which I believe to have been very beneficial. I've seen another gym member that's been working with her longer that's showed a lot of progress in the short amount of time that I've been here. The other patrons are very friendly, possibly because we have a neighborly bond. I like the Work Out of the Week and other monthly challenges that go on here. There's always something new. The same people that I see everyday working out at the gym usually get recognition on the member of the month wall. I like that they give their testimonial.
