I injured myself before I could start my classes. The owner did not work with me for a refund. She only told me β Iβm on vacation β and canβt help right now. She continues to repeat the policy and not be human or considerate to my circumstances. Poor costumer consideration

Tori reached out and quickly resolved this issue. She was a pleasure to talk to and i can't wait to get in and take a class. Thank you for resolving this.
I was going to take a class this morning but I woke up and my stomach was no feeling it. I was bummed but woke up at 0630 to try and cancel for the 0900 class. I tried using the email that was sent in the email but it was not recognized by Yahoo. I tried copy and paste and tried typing it in but no. I went to the website to try and find how to de register there but couldn't. There was a phone number on the site but when i called it said they will not take cancellations over the phone. I was no feeling well so I just gave up. Wish I had taken the class because the reviews were good but maybe someday.

Speakeasy Yoga is an absolutely beautiful studio. The owner is so sweet. It's entire vibe from the incense, decor, down to the instructors make it very much a calming environment. There are so many wonderful instructors that teach here. The classes are so good and will challenge you (which I enjoy) but also keep you focused on your practice. Everyone is so nice and welcoming there, and I am very thankful to be able to practice here.

Speakeasy offers a large range of classes from their unheated Long, Slow, Deep class to their heated Strong classβ¦ there really is something for everyone. Itβs always so immaculately clean! The teachers are very welcoming and if itβs your first time, just let them know and theyβll give you a whole tour of the space if theyβre able. The unlimited yoga for 30 days for only $45 is a steal! Such a special place that we have here in Dayton.

I've been an intermittent patron at this studio since 2016 and I've always enjoyed the experience it has provided. Tori is a very organized, professional and kind owner/instructor who is very keen on helping those within the community, whether they practice yoga or not.
Their class schedules are very accommodating to different work lifestyles, and I enjoy the uniformity of the flows while still allowing the instructors to express their own respective "flares."
I really enjoy/ed the measures this studio took during the pandemic, including the virtual studio option and the temporary class limitations. Although this might have upset a few people, I personally thought it was a smart move as this ensured the overall safety of ongoing/future practitioners and customers alike.
If you're seeking a hip, well-designed and modern environment for a yoga studio with a well-organized staff and refreshingly original concepts/accommodations I encourage you to check out Speakeasy Yoga.

As a 7 year practitioner and certified yoga instructor (not via speakeasy) picking Speakeasy Studio as my home was an easy choice to make. Class is organized, starts and ends on time, and the space is immaculate. Speakeasy is always improving the client experience and their space, which is appreciated! Not only is the space wonderful, the most important part, the practice, is exceptional. Flows always make sense, no matter which style class you attend. Alternative poses are provided for all levels. Additionally, the right breath to body connection is vital to achieve the most benefit from yoga and all the instructors will cue breath at the precise time throughout class, keeping you on track. This isn't easy to do for most yoga teachers and something that may go undetected by beginning yogi's. Highly recommend Speakeasy for a well rounded studio.
Regardless of your individual beliefs Speakeasy is putting the client first with health & safety as a top priority - again, appreciated!

Not only is the space absolutely lovely, the culture created within the studio is wonderful as well. Classes offered at times I can attend with a very simple and easy layout. Getting in and out before and after class is a breeze.
All of that to sayβ the thing I love most about this place is the people. The instructors are so welcoming, knowledgeable, and consistent. This is a space that everyone involved should feel so proud of.

Best place to practice yoga in Dayton. Studio is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and instructors are incredible. They have a vaccination requirement which makes me feel like a safe place to focus on my practice without concern. Studio is heat and humidity controlled, which makes for an ideal space for my yoga practice.

Fantastic collection of yoga teachers with extensive training backgrounds. The studio is intentional from the moment you walk in the door, peaceful and be clean. They offer ample props (mats, blocks, blankets, etc.) to support all levels of students. I live for their strong, heated classes but appreciate that I can mix it up every now and then with a simple or LSD (long, slow & deep) offering.

This studio is top notch. The teachers offer insightful queues, and have a way of offering sequences that builds intuitively. Appropriate for all levels, modifications are always offered. Their practices are strongly integrated with breath which does wonders for a stressed out mind. Their classes make it so that there is more ease behind the movements, less thinking/agitation to make it happen. The studio is beautiful, the folks are lovely. I consider myself lucky that a studio of this caliber is in my town.

To say that I LOVE Speakeasy is an understatement. Speakeasy and the community that stands behind it, made me fall in love with yoga in the first place. Not only is the studio welcoming but it is also a safe space, non-judgmental and warm. There are so many classes to chose from and lately Barre and the Virtual offerings have really been my speed. Virtual classes are updated frequently and I am eternally grateful to be able to take the studio with me wherever I go.

I have been consistently pleased with my visits to Speakeasy over the years. The studio is beautiful and clean and I always feel welcome. With their different levels of classes and hot or not-hot options, Iβm always able to find a class I favor/prefer.
I admire and appreciate how the owners and team have handled operations during the Covid pandemic, and I am certainly not alone in feeling that way. They have made some decisions that had to have been extremely difficult for any small business ownerβbut they have done it out of respect and care for the community as a whole, which is whatβs most important. I have felt safe practicing in their studio with the protocols theyβve put in place, and I know that they will have continued success and support from the community. Thanks Speakeasy team!

Our family adores Speakeasy Yoga. The minute you walk in the door, the entire team is sure to make you feel welcome. Every teacher creates flows to accommodate any skill level. They really understand the human body and work hard to provide a sustainable, enjoyable practice. Their studio space itself is calm, clean and beautiful. I can't imagine going anywhere else in Dayton. And, if you don't feel like venturing out, Speakeasy Yoga offers a fantastic virtual studio too.

Speakeasy Yoga is located a block North of the Oregon Historic District in Dayton OH. The studio is simply gorgeous. The lobby is decorated in large velvet couches, an upright piano and TONS of natural lighting.
The studio area is upstairs and has so much natural lighting coming the room, it's truly beautiful with the exposed brick beams and antique lighting fixtures. The class I took was heated and was seemed to me to be Baptiste inspired even though they're not an affiliate studio. I did some googling and found a teacher who used to teach at Speakeasy who was a Baptiste yogi, so I went to Speakeasy based on that connection. I was not disappointed. The class was great and I got to check out a very cool area of Dayton while I was there on business. I'd definitely go back again if I'm back in Dayton for any reason!

This place is beautiful. I liked the class I went to which was strong. I love teacher. She is one of my Dayton yoga faves. However that particular class didn't challenge me like she usually does. I was also put off by a cue in DD that I know would kill my shoulders if I would do what was cued. Being told to not draw your shoulders away from the ears and allow my shoulders to come up by my ears like in hand stand. What!? My shoulders are super loose. This would eventually kill my rotator cuff. I know this because when I started yoga this is what I did until an instructor said to lock my shoulder girdle. Best advice ever! It finally became that active rest pose its supposed to be. The instructor did not go past the second row which I was ok with me, but some of the people around me were struggling and probably needed some hands on adjusting.

Took a Friday night Strong class. Well decorated and accommodating studio. Street parking was easy. $40 for 30 days to start; great deal! Instruction was pretty good. It was a nice and challenging class, cultivating upper body and core strength. Therefore, lots of the students have a very strong practice here. The atmosphere felt more fun and social than βZen,β per se. Seems like a great tribe to practice with and a great place to make friends.

Beautiful space, clean, and ample equipment available for out of towners. Went to simple class and enjoyed the pace, challenge level of being on the easier side. Wished the instructor would've demonstrated moves; as a beginner not knowing all terms I had some trouble in beginning knowing exactly what to do. But overall loved the space and the class did the trick for loosening things up and providing stress relief. Hope to come back when I'm in town for longer.
