As someone who once hated going to the gym, I cannot recommend working with Dan enough! I would frequently sign up for a membership, stick to machines or routines that I felt comfortable with, and give up without seeing results. After years of this pattern, I realized that this was something that I couldn’t do on my own- I needed help to reach my goals. Dan exceeded my expectations; in addition to showing me routines and exercises I have never seen before, he has been incredibly patient, supportive, and just fun to work with. He showed me that I am stronger than I know, and that it’s still possible for me to be the person I aim to be if I put in the work. I’ve been training with him for over a year now and am thrilled by how strong I’ve become (and yeah, the weight loss is nice, but not as amazing as being able to race my kid without losing my breath). I’ve still got work to do, but I know that my goals are achievable thanks to Dan’s support.
Update!
I knew that I needed to stretch. I understood the benefits, but convinced myself it wasn't that important- I could still move, so that was enough for now. I mentioned to Dan that I struggled with carpal tunnel. We focused a stretching session on my fingers, hands, and arms. I quickly realized that I had been accustomed to discomfort- my relief was immediate. The pain did not rush back to my hands after returning to the keyboard, and I learned how to alleviate my pain when it flares up. We have since expanded to target other pains that I knew of (and hoped that ignoring would fix). I cannot thank or recommend Dan enough!

I scheduled an appointment with Dan because I was having pain in my shoulder and neck. After two visits most of my pain was gone. Dan took the time to listen to what was going on and was able to pin point which spots in my shoulder and neck were causing the pain. He also showed me specific stretches to do regularly to help.
I would highly recommend scheduling an appointment with him if you are having any pain.

Dan has helped me expand my workouts following a knee injury. I had felt myself plateau some time after physical therapy and Dan has helped me both improve my strength and mobility He is professional and personable, would highly recommend!!!

Five stars to a personal trainer? Absurd, right? Absolutely not, IF you're looking for honest help and critique to reach lifetime goals. PATIENCE is a virtue. Dan watches you grow, then precedes to gently push you to the next level even when you don't think you're ready. I'm going on almost two years with his guidance, and this may be the strongest I've felt in years. I'm ready to run my 5th Marathon in November, but more confident mentally and physically than when I ran my first because Dan helped me slowly progress my mind and full body strength. Sure. You think you can do it by yourself, but why not have someone who fully knows what he's doing to help get you to your goals?
Update to include his stretching sessions:
I used to be a non-believer in stretching, but Dan completely changed my perspective. He has helped me address persistent issues like shoulder pain, calf tightness, back discomfort, and even headaches. Thanks to his targeted approach, my aches and sore muscles have been significantly relieved. Every session is focused, effective, and leaves me feeling better than ever. If you're dealing with pain or just want to feel your best, Dan is the one to trust!

I honestly wasn't a big fan of personal trainers until I started training with Dan. The results are undeniable! He teaches me how to properly strengthen to get my maximum results!
I highly recommend Dan Cullen as your trainer to help get your muscles activated and stronger. I am looking forward to my next class. 🙂
