Awesome studio! So many great instructors and I love the variety of class offerings. Feeling uninspired going to a gym? Go here instead! There’s something very creative and beautiful in the aerial arts - give it a try to see for yourself.

Update: from 5 to 4 stars
I unfortunately can no longer come to this studio as i have been priced out. When I started coming to Studio Rouge I was paying $27 per class. I just went to book classes and it is now $45 a class.

I don't know if there was a post somewhere saying why there was a sudden big price increase but I feel blindsided by it. I would love to keep coming but I can't afford that price unfortunately.

Orginal Post:
As of writing this review I have taken 7 classes at Studio Rouge ranging from chair dance to pole to aerial silks. All of then have been super fun and informative. Instructors are all super nice and welcoming no matter your starting skill level.
The studio is super clean (all stations have alcohol and rags for students to clean yoga mats, silks, poles down after class).

Studio Rouge is my favorite place in the world! I've been coming here for almost three years now, and since then I've become a much stronger, versatile aerialist. All the instructors are dedicated to their students' success, while being understanding and accommodating of everyone's differences and needs. The community at Studio Rouge is just incredible! ❤️

My friend and I attended Studio Rouge for the first time, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. As someone who has been a pole instructor for over 7 years, I was surprised by how unstructured the class felt from start to finish.

While I understand that every instructor has their own teaching style, this class lacked essential elements—especially for beginners. My friend, who was trying pole for the very first time, was not offered any modifications for the moves we were learning. The warm-up lasted about 30 minutes and felt more like a yoga flow than a prep for a pole class.

The combo we worked on required a lot of floor work, which ended up being painful due to the hard flooring. It would have made a big difference if we had been advised ahead of time to bring knee pads and socks to protect our knees and feet.

Additionally, it was difficult to hear the instructor for most of the class due to the noise from another class happening right next to us.

Overall, this was not the best introduction to Studio Rouge. I genuinely hope the studio takes steps to improve the structure of their classes, offer proper support for beginners, and create a more comfortable environment for everyone attending.

Went to a class—paid for the class and ended up having to share a pole and not getting the full experience because someone else showed up who didn’t even pay and they gave her my pole because she was a part of a party and showed up last minute. I won’t be back unless something has changed. I didn’t even get to learn anything when I went. I felt embarrassed sitting on the floor for half the time.

I could not recommend Studio Rouge enough! I went for a bachelorette party and had a wonderful time! They did a great job making the class accessible to total beginners. Multiple girls in our party left wanting to pursue more classes in the future because it was such a great experience. We were also obsessed with the instructor/owner! :) Finally, one of our girls had a medical issue shortly before the start of our class. But Studio Rouge was incredibly accommodating and flexible with us!

Other students privacy is not protected, I was filmed by multiple other students on encouragement from the instructor Dayna, as well as her herself, without my consent, despite me verbally saying NO and nodding my head persistently that i DID NOT WANT to be filmed. The "beginner" classes are not beginner friendly, you need a decent chunk of dance experience to do these classes, even the ones that state no pre-requisite from what I've learned. Misleading, disrespectful, at least my instructor doesnt even treat you like a person. No one sees me dance for free, you don't film others without asking first.

I’ve been doing pole for a year. Went to a beginner class just to get a feel for the studio since I’m new /returning to town. I felt like I was being critiqued by my movements and posture when I just want to go to a course and express myself freely. It felt
Stressful. I understand beginners courses can be a little more strict for safety, but we didn’t do much but floor work and one spin. I was just expecting more. Do your research on what type of environment you’re needing. Pole is meant to be for everyone at every level and not about perfection.

I recognize that a lot of my friends and people have raved about this place; however, when I went I just didn’t love it or feel super comfortable? The vibe I got when I was there was very silent, not that fun, and that the instructor didn’t want to be there tbh. I hope that if I attend another class that this one was only a one off time and the next one will be different!

I attended my first intro to pole class and had a fun experience. My instructor, Olivia was very patient and thorough when teaching the basics. I want to work on core strength and flexibility and using the pole is a great way to engage your muscles to sharpen those areas along with balance and precision. This experience would provide the challenge I would love to work on and could enhance my overall health with fitness.

Studio Rouge is my second home. I started with Pole a year and a half ago, and have since taken every apparatus they offer (silks, sling, hoop, lollipop). I continue to be obsessed with it all and I think there is something here for everyone.

It is *the* most inclusive environment I’ve ever been a part of — there’s such a sense of community because everyone there wants to see you succeed at whatever your dreams are. You do not have to have any sort of athletic or dance background to succeed and have fun here, and there is no pressure to have any sort of dreams beyond doing this as a hobby for yourself. 🖤

(Pictured is a photo on my favorite apparatus — aerial silks!) I can not recommend SR enough 🥹🫶🏻🖤♥️

Downsides to trying this out may include annoying your friends by trying to get them to go to a class with you and a lack of phone storage due to all of the progress videos you forget to post.

My sister gifted me with time at studio rouge. I chose to do a 90 minute 1:1 pole session and it was a mixed experience. Don't get me wrong, the instructor was personable and kind but that was not the problem. The problem is that I'm a plus size woman and I wanted a 1:1 session in order to find modifications that would make me comfortable pursuing pole. I didn't get that in my one-to-one session. I was encouraged to try spins without much guidance or hands-on placement. I didn't even know that being on your tippy toes was a big part of doing spins so when I tried in my session I was flat-footed and frightened lol. My favorite part of my one-to-one session was the stretching and conditioning. I found a different studio and I've been doing pole for 2 months now. I think it's all about finding what fits you. Having a teacher that pays attention to your body is very important to me.

started my pole journey here, so perhaps i'm biased, but this place and the experiences i’ve had here have been life changing. i wasn't expecting it when i started, but studio rouge has become an integral supportive community to me.

they have pole, hoop, silks, and sling for all different levels: from very beginner to very advanced. pulling instructors from all over the circus community. and offer over 58 (i just counted i didn't realize there was so many 😳) artistic, exotic, and technical classes from this one studio each week so again, something for any style! and they offer weeknight, weekend, and morning classes, so friendly to any work schedule.

there is really something for everyone here, not matter what you're looking for: whether you're looking to find yourself, casually introduce movement into your life, want to work on something a little new and exciting each week, or even looking to go pro.

i work a male dominated job so being able to come pole with other queer women and people is such a needed spot in my life.

plus the poles and hoops are super tall. don't worry, only if you want them to be 👀. which is super nice.
